9 Chapter 9
"Hey, who are you?" Dane asked irritatingly. He's already shocked of Rolando's existence and now another strange man appeared behind Lando.
'Of there's someone who wants to appear, please do so!' Dane had enough of what's happening of him right now. If there's more to it, he doesn't know whether to laugh or cry as he knows his competence is not lacking at all!
"You're here" the real Lando widened his eyes as he couldn't believe that silver cloaked man will appear at this moment.
The silver cloaked man didn't respond but they felt a heavy pressure around them caused by the silver cloaked man.
"Where is she?" the silver cloaked man finally talked but who is he looking for?
"Who?" Rolando asked while withstanding the heavy pressure as if he's not affected at all and he doesn't know what this man wanted.
Although they couldn't see the silver cloaked man's facial reactions but the silver cloaked man smirked as he saw Rolando's attempt to withstand his psychic pressure but failed to do so.
"Let me see Melissa" the silver cloaked man said, neither requesting nor asking for permission rather with a commanding tone.
Rolando's eyes flickered. He investigated Melissa's life and he didn't find anything about this silver cloaked man.
"Why should I let you see her?" Rolando still not backing out despite of the being almost crushed by the silver cloaked man's psychic pressure.
"You're not qualified enough to be involved in this matter. All I can suggest to you, is to voluntarily give Melissa back to us" the silver cloaked man said and his tone sounds like he's stating a fact.
Rolando smirked as he looked towards the silver cloaked man and waved his hand to signal his subordinate who is taking care of Melissa.
His two subordinate, who are carrying one box of chest, hurriedly run to their directions.
Erwin and Dane's faces darkened because they saw many treasures inside the chest boxes earlier before the confrontation with Rolando but who would have thought that Rolando will do a very despicable means just to take Melissa away.
"What's this?" the silver cloaked man asked with confusion and he doesn't have any idea what's inside the chest box.
Without responding to the silver cloaked man's question, Rolando's two subordinates immediately opened the box and jewelries, golds or other treasures are revealed infront of everyone.
Lando was in disbelief of what's Rolando is brewing just to take Melissa away.
"I will give this to you if you let me take Melissa. With this, both sides are satisfied, right?" Rolando put his finger on his cheek; caressing it because of sudden chill he felt after saying those words.
"Huh! I thought you're smarter than Lando because you grow up in that place but I guess, that's all my speculation and nothing more" the silver cloaked man said.
He slowly walked towards Rolando.
Rolando is sweating and his legs are trembling as his eyes stared on the silver cloaked man infront of him. He felt fear, despair and regret.... of not saying his point earlier.
Immediately, Rolando opened another compartment on the lid of chest box as he revealed Melissa.
'Damn! If he didn't immediately open it, can he escape unscathed?' Rolando thought and his hands are shaking from fright.
"MELISSA!" Erwin and Dane both called out for Melissa's name while Melissa felt her vision slowly fading away.
Rolando sighed and almost kneeled down because of the silver cloaked man's sudden released of psychic pressure on his body.
"Good! It's better dealing it this way than a battle with bloodshed" the silver cloaked man nodded with approval as his eyes stared on Rolando.
Although Rolando heard the silver cloaked man's praise, he still doesn't lower his guard.
'It's better safe than sorry' Rolando thought.
Suddenly, Lando appeared infront of the silver cloaked man and attempted to pull away the hood but silver cloaked man reacted faster than him.
"Damn! Why are you so fast?" Lando cursed and loud enough for everyone to hear.
Erwin: *sweating*
Dane: *jaw dropped*
Cassie and Carl: *face palmed*
Rolando: *cheek twitched*
"It's not time yet. I'll visit again and that's the right time for everyone to know me" the silver cloaked man said as he stood far away but his back I sweating because of Lando.
If he doesn't have a flexible and agile body which he trained for many years, his real identity will be revealed and he cannot say for sure if he can protect Melissa.
"Why are you so concern on Melissa?" Lando asked while waiting for the silver cloaked man's response.
He feel dejected as he didn't hear any respond from the silver cloaked man.
"Her existence is my only concern, nothing else. About my identity, I will personally introduce myself sooner so be patient, Lando" the silver cloaked man face palmed as he couldn't take Lando's eager enthusiasm on finding out the reason why I'm doing it.
"Fine. But it doesn't mean I'm not allowed to investigate right?" Lando asked as his eyes stared at the unconscious Melissa.
"Yes" the silver cloaked man answered.
"One last thing" - Lando.
"What is it?" - the silver cloaked man.
"Is it because of Erson?" Lando asked as his intuition kicks in, his intuition was also the reason why he disappeared when he inquired about Erson.
Erson Stone was Lando's friend but he didn't know back then that Erson is a Stone because Erson didn't share anything about his family but he knows that Erson is a good man and will never harm anyone.
However, something happened five years ago. Erson suddenly changed like he is no longer the Erson he knows but he brushed it off out of his mind and keeps on hanging out with Erson for two years.
Also, Erson's treatment to him changed from being friendly to being a stranger. Lando is a type of man who doesn't want to lose a friend because of misunderstanding. Because of it, he directly confronted Erson and that's the day he went missing.
Lando came to know that Erson he knows were no longer Erson but another man who claimed Erson's identity! He's Gerson!
