5 Chapter 5
Melissa frowned as she's sweating heavily while sleeping inside the sliding of the park. It is already dark outside and it is the nature of a child to be scared of the night.
"Papa..." she called out softly and her left arm stretched out.
Inside her dreams, she saw a silhouette of a man and a woman. Their faces are blurred but she felt the happiness brought to them, by the baby that the woman carried.
Melissa looked at their silhouette slowly fading. She stretched out her arms to stop the man and the woman but an arm which doesn't belong to her stopped her from doing it.
She turned to her side and she saw a blurred face of a little girl like her.
"They are not your mama and papa. They are mine!" the little girl shouted at her. Melissa was agitated like she's being robbed of what should belong to her.
"Your Papa is dead! Your mama doesn't love me! They don't want you!" the little girl keeps shouting hurtful words to her.
Melissa is still two years old child. Although she sometimes thinks like an adult but her heart and mind are still immature and full of naivete!
"No! No! I want mama and papa! Where's my mama and papa? MAMA! PAPA!" Melissa screamed inside her dreams while looking around. She turned here and there, to look for her parents but there's no one.
Then, she saw a silhouette familiar to her. Her eyes shone brightly and hurriedly runs towards the direction of that silhouette. However, the more she runs towards it, the longer it takes for her to reach.
Until she heard the man's voice.
"My Precious Melissa" that silhouette called her name. Her eyes moistened as she stopped herself reaching towards it. She rubs her eyes gently as she looked at the silhouette of the man.
"Papa... Mama is bad" she conveyed her feelings to that silhouette.
"Melissa, no matter where you are. Papa is always beside you" the man turned around and revealed himself to Melissa.
He's Erson Stone, who she believed was her stepfather.
"One day, Papa will come back to see you. So, Melissa. You need to endure the pain that the destiny placed for you" the man kneeled down and wipes away her tears.
"My Melissa. Papa always loves you" as he kissed her forehead while his voice slowly fades away.
Melissa abruptly woke up while tears fell on her cheeks. She cried silently.
Suddenly, she heard footsteps nearby. She slowly moved more inside the sliding dome as she placed her ears at the metallic wall of sliding dome.
"Are you certain that the little girl is here?" a hoarse voice of a man said while Melissa keeps listening to the voice outside.
"Yes, I'm certain. I didn't the girl leaving the park at all" another man said as he walked around until he stood in front of the sliding dome.
Melissa covered her mouth immediately, not to make noises.
"Look every corner! Hurry!" a man commanded coldly. Then, Melissa saw many black suit men looking for her around the park. She was terrified and immediately shut her eyes.
Suddenly, Melissa vanished from inside the sliding dome. With a certain timing of one of the black suit men looked inside the sliding dome.
"There's no child here" they all concluded.
"DAMN IT! WHERE IS SHE? DO WE REALLY NEED TO LOOK FOR HER AROUND THE CITY?!" the leader of this group, shouted as he is irritated.
"Boss, the little girl is Erson's daughter. By only capturing her, will we be able to find out if Erson is still alive or not" the man with a laptop beside the boss said.
The boss sighed.
Meanwhile, Melissa suddenly appeared infront of the hospital. When she many voices around her, she slowly opened her eyes and was stunned to realize that she's now in different place.
"H-How?" she asked herself inwardly.
She doesn't know where she is right now but one thing for sure, she's still inside the city and nearby the park.
When she turned around, she bumped into another little girl who is wearing a luxurious dress while she's holding an ice cream in her hands.
The ice scream spilled on the little girl's luxurious dress as her eyes widened and couldn't utter a word at all.
"S-Sorry" Melissa immediately apologized and turned around fast but the little girl faster than her, caught her and gripped on wrist tighter.
She winced.
"You witch! You stained my dress! You should pay for it!" the little girl shouted at her while her hands on Melissa's wrist gripped even tighter.
"I-I'm sorry! I-I don't have money" Melissa keeps apologizing while sweating of the intense reaction of the little girl in front of her.
"Please let me go!" Melissa shouted pleadingly while trying to pull her hands away from the little girl's tight grip.
"No way! You must pay for it or I'll throw you to my dogs!" the little girl's face contorted because of anger.
She dressed up herself because she heard that her fiance and fiance's father are inside the hospital, visiting her father's sister-in-law from the countryside who went crazy.
"What's going on?" Erwin asked as he walked out of the hospital, together with his second brother Dane Stone, Old Master Stone and their guests - Erickson Santiago and Gabriel Santiago.
"DADDY! THIS GIRL STAINED MY DRESS! LOOK HERE!" the little girl still didn't let go of Melissa's wrist as she gripped tighter.
Melissa's face turned pale because of pain on her wrists but when she heard the little girl's calling her father, Melissa panicked more.
"Daddy! Punish this beggar! She's so dirty but she dared to stain my dress! I can't accept it!" the little girl shouted like a shrew.
Erwin frowned as he doesn't like the actions of her daughter. He looks at the little girl that is caught by his daughter - Louisa Stone.
His heart tightened as he saw the little girl's pale and panicking face.
Gabriel immediately remember the little girl that is caught by Louisa.
'Wasn't she the little early in the afternoon?' he thought.
"Melissa!" Gabriel took away Melissa's wrist from the grip of Louisa. Louisa was stunned of Gabriel's anxious behavior.
Even Erickson Santiago was shocked to see his son's unusual behavior. It also got the attention of Stone Family who came up with Erwin Stone.
"Gabriel! She dirtied my clothes!" Louisa shouted as she stared at Melissa. Although Melissa is dirty, her soft pearl skin and curly hair is full of luster like she's not a beggar at all. Maybe, a rich daughter who got lost.
"I... I... I-I'm sorry!" Melissa stuttered. She's sweating when she felt everyone's eyes are on her.
Suddenly, a man shouted. "Rosalina Montecillio is awake!"
The Stone Family was delighted to hear it but Melissa was shocked to hear a familiar name. Her legs softened as she couldn't stand at all.
Gabriel pulled Melissa towards the entrance of the hospital. While they are still at the center area of the hallway, Melissa pulled her hands away from Gabriel as she shouted.
"I.... I'm sorry! I don't see her! She's so bad! Ahhh!" Melissa felt that her heart exploded because of intense pressure. She stopped and everyone looked at her.
"I-I... I DON'T TO SEE HER FOREVER!" she screamed and shut her eyes immediately. While everyone's eyes are on her, they were stunned to see Melissa vanished immediately under their gazes.
"W-What.... happened?" Gabriel was shocked silly of what he witnessed. He panicked as he looked around to look for Melissa but she didn't find her at all.
"Is this for real?!" Mark Santiago screamed with excitement which awakened the shocked Stone Family members and the onlookers.
"Grandpa! Melissa vanished! Please look for her" Gabriel is panicking.
"Erwin, Dane, Do everything to seal the lips of the onlookers and search for Melissa" Old Master Stone calmly ordered.
Erwin was about to run to do it right away but he saw Dane blankly stared at the spot where Melissa vanished.
"Is there something wrong, Dane?" Old Master Stone also saw his son's eyes void of emotion as he still looked at where Melissa vanished.
"Uncle Dane!" Gabriel and Louisa.
"Brother Dane" Erwin called his brother as he shook him.
Dane looked blankly at Erwin and stated something which made the Stone Family paled.
"Melissa.... She's .... Erson's daughter" as he murmured but loud enough for everyone to hear.
"WHAT?!" they all said in unison.
Old Master Stone was shocked and excited to see his another granddaughter but also worried because she suddenly vanished in front of everyone's eyes.
"Quick! Quick! Mobilized our men to search for her!" Old Master Stone shouted at them which abruptly awakened everyone from their stupor.
However, they are too late. When Melissa
appeared in another place, it is in the den of evil secret organization. The place it too remote and quiet. Fortunately, she appeared in the bushes. Otherwise, she will be experimented by the mas scientist of the evil secret organization. Still, she was caught and she cried with grievances.
