11 Chapter 11

Melissa found herself inside a dark place. She doesn't where she is and sees nothing but darkness.

Suddenly, she felt something inside so terrible! She put her hands on her stomach as she is enduring the pain.

'It is so painful!' she complained and groaned. Her back is sweating as her body is trembling.

A sudden explode of psychic energy is forcefully opening her every meridians. Her body twitched a little and her hands gripped the hospital bedsheet tightly.

She wanted to scream loudly but she cannot do so. She even tried to open her eyes to see her surroundings but she cannot do so. A tiny movement made it more painful.

"Melissa!" Gabriel called out to her name when he saw her struggling.

"What did that Rolando do to Melissa?!" as he punched the wall beside the bed of Melissa.

"We didn't see any bruises or scratches on external surface. So it doesn't seem like she suffered from physical abuse" as Dane observed the struggling Melissa on bed while frowning.

"Have you known a Doctor who is specialize in Alternative Medicine? Maybe there's a way to find out why she's struggling like that" Eleanor worriedly asked as she felt heartache for the little girl. Although she just came to know her, she already felt something indescribable bond between them.

"Alright. I'll ask then" Gabriel immediately responded without waiting for the other Stone Family's response.

Although Old Master Stone felt displeased of Gabriel's behavior, he still feels glad that Gabriel initiated to do it. It seems like Melissa has special place in Gabriel's heart.

Louisa glared at the unconscious Melissa and wishes Melissa's misfortune to come even more.

"I'll also go ask, Gabriel" she softly said to Gabriel while blushing.

Gabriel raised his eyebrows,"No need" and left Melissa's room. Now, only the Stone Family is left there.

"Grandpa, why are we helping her? She's the child of a psychopath" Louisa disdainfully looked at the unconscious Melissa.

For her, Rosalina is a psychopath because she tried to murder her own daughter. Then, what about the seed of a psychopath? Isn't it also a psychopath? She thought and sneered.

"Louisa! She's also my granddaughter! You're still young but already have venomous tongue! How did Eleanor give birth to someone like you?!" Old Master Stone shouted at Louisa. He cannot accept at how Louisa looked down upon Melissa. Although he just came to know his third son's daughter, he already treats her as one of the Stone Family.

Louisa pouted and Eleanor frowned at Louisa's behavior. She didn't educate Louisa as unladylike or without discipline. She even emphasize to her to be contented of what she has.

Louisa felt a stare coming from behind her. She turned around and saw her mother's disappointed face. She suddenly panic and tried to explain herself but Eleanor shook her head and left the room.

Eleanor cannot face her daughter. For her, Louisa is still two years old but her character is already develop to this extent. What's more in the future? She doesn't want to imagine it.

"Mommy! I'm sorry!" Louisa cried as she followed behind Eleanor. She felt scared of being abandoned by Eleanor and didn't know why she feels this way.

Eleanor sighed and stooped down to carry Louisa. After all, Louisa is still her daughter.

"Promise Mommy to never behave like that again, okay?" Eleanor's heart softened as she saw Louisa's aggrieved look and caressed her daughter's cheek.

"Mmm. I promise" Louisa softly said and buried her head on Eleanor's neck while she hugged her tightly but her eyes showed her wit and her lips smirked.

'Melissa, I'll make sure you won't have good times living in Stone Family just like before' she thought.

Meanwhile, Melissa slowly stabilize her breathing while still clutching on her stomach caused by pain of violent surging of psychic energy.

"You're awake" Gabriel smiles when he just came back from outside and saw Melissa slowly opening her eyes.

Melissa feels vigilant because these people are the one who forcefully pulled her to meet her mother Rosalina.

Gabriel sighed as he saw her vigilant eyes, "I promise I will not bring to your mother. I didn't know back then that you're mother did something vicious. I'm sorry" as his eyes tearfully looked at Melissa.

Melissa's heart melted because of Gabriel's advances. She cannot reject such pitiful boy in front of her.

"Don't worry, Melissa. Your mother will never be able to approach you from now on" Old Master Stone said. He caressed his granddaughter's cheeks and suddenly saw his third son's silhouette on her. He smiled and murmured his third son's name.

"Erson"

"Hmmm? Do you perhaps know my father?" Melissa still doesn't know that these people are the paternal family of father, Erson Stone.

Old Master Stone nodded and told Melissa about Erson's origin.

Melissa was shocked to know that her father came from the wealthy family - Stone Family. She thought that her father, Erson, is a Military Family because of how profound her father's martial art is but she doesn't expect that the Stone Family's expertise is based on Business Management in any industries like Entertainment, Stocks and Trades, Hotels, and others.

"Then, why didn't you look for us?" Melissa asked with aggrieved face as she remembered her father's suffering when he tried to get Rosalina back.

"I'm sorry. I didn't where he went missing. We just found out recently about his death" Dane immediately lowered his body in ninety degrees while asking for forgiveness.

None of the Stone Family stopped Dane from doing so because they also feel guilty for not having enough resources to look for Erson on the countryside. It never occured to their mind that Erson is living in the countryside for many years as they focused solely on urban areas of the country.

"No. It's my fault, my dear. If only I protected your father firmly, he will not ended up like that then" Old Master Stone sighed as Melissa saw how Old Master Stone becoming older in a seconds.

Melissa shook her head as she holds on to Old Master Stone's hands and smiled.

"I'm certain that father is happy because you are living well and I know he didn't blame you all" Melissa becomes lively as she blinks at them cutely.

Old Master Stone couldn't hold back himself and laughed heartily.
