Good bye 3

Adelfa is restless inside their room. She keeps on pacing back and forth while rubbing her palm. She has been waiting for Jin to come home but he hasn't come yet!

Adelfa stopped pacing back and forth when she heard the sound of footsteps on the door.

She instantly turned her head to the door and she heaved a sigh of relief when she saw her son entered the room!

"Son!" Adelfa blurted out as she hurriedly approaches Jin.

Adelfa embraced her son tightly, "Where did you go?"

"I was so worried!" She said.

"I...I just help them to find the Young Miss, mom." Jin replied.

Adelfa froze as she looked up to her son.

"I was worried for her, so I tried to find her, " Jin added.

"Y-You like her that much?" Adelfa asked.

Jin lowered his head as he nodded lightly.

Adelfa went silent and she looked away from Jin.

Her son likes Yumi, if she tells him about what she discovered today, he would really get hurt!

What would be his reaction if he finds out that the girl he likes is the daughter of his father's mistress?

Adelfa gulped!

He shouldn't know about this!

No one should!

It's enough that I am the only one who knows about it. It is enough that I am the only one who is hurting!

Jin can't be with Yumi!

They can't be involved with each other!

I should do something to keep them apart!

Adelfa tried to think of a way to keep her son away from Yumi and she only has one solution!

"Son..." Adelfa looked up to her son, "How about, let's just leave this place?"

Jin was a bit startled with his mother's word.

He looked at him with his confused look, "Mom, what are you saying?" He asked with his confused expression.

Adelfa took a deep breath before she spoke, " Uhm..." Adelfa couldn't look at Jin in the eyes.

"It's..." Adelfa tried to find an alibi.

"I think...It's time for us to go back home, " She said.

Jin knitted his brows, "Home?" he repeated.

Adelfa looked up to her son again, "Yes, " She replied.

"But mom, we already sold the house that dad left us, " Jin reminded Adelfa.

"No, it wasn't what I mean, " Adelfa replied.

"What I mean was..." Adelfa paused for a moment.

"We're going back to the place where I grew up, " Adelfa continued.

Jin looked at his mother. "What place are you talking about?"

"Where your grandparents live," Adelfa replied.

"It's been a long time since I left that place. I am not even sure if they're still alive. You know, I left that place because they don't like your father. They opposed our relationship. But still, I chose to come with your father here in the Capital City and left your grandparents. They don't even know that they already have a grandson."

It took a while before Jin spoke.

"Why?" He asked after a while.

"Huh?!" Adelfa didn't get Jin's question.

"Why did you suddenly decide to leave?"

Adelfa doesn't know what to say. She's being careful with every word she blurts out.

"Jin, as I have said. It's been a long time since I left the place where I grew up. I also want to check if your grandparents were still alive. I missed them so much." Adelfa said.

"How about my studies?" Jin asked.

Adelfa held her son's hand.

"You can transfer to another school. Let's just leave this place." Adelfa said.

" We shouldn't be here, anyway."She mumbled but Jin did not hear it clearly.

The next day, Adelfa talked to Alicia to inform her of her resignation.

"Adelfa, why so sudden?" Alicia asked. She didn't expect that Adelfa would suddenly ask to resign from her work.

"Why?"

"Is there anything wrong?" Alicia asked again.

"N-No, Mrs. Alcantara.". Adelfa lied.

" Your family has been nice to us." She continued.

"It's just that... I... I want to go back to the place where I belong."

" Is your decision final already?" Alicia asked with loneliness.

"Yes, Mrs. Alcantara. I'm sorry, " Adelfa replied.

"When are you leaving?"

"By next week, Mrs. Alcantara."

"Looks like nothing can change your mind now, " Alicia commented.

"Alright, I won't force you to stay, thank you for telling me ahead of time." She added.

Adelfa just nodded her head.

Comprehensive School,

Margaux and Jin are standing in the hallway while facing the field.

"I heard you're going to leave?" Margaux asked Jin.

"Ennn..." Jin nodded.

"Oh, that's sad news." Margaux tried to suppress her self from crying.

"Why so sudden, Jin?" Margaux asked again.

"It was my mom's decision and I can't contradict it," Jin replied.

"I see," Margaux replied.

There is silence for a while but Margaux was the one to break it.

"I want to tell you something, " Margaux suddenly spoke.

"What is it?" Jin asked as he turned his head to Margaux.

"I like you, " Margaux said.

This might be the last time that she can talk to him and she doesn't want to waste it!

Jin doesn't seem surprised by Margaux's confession.

"Just forget whatever you feel for me, " Jin said.

"You deserve someone better, " He added.

Margaux just pressed her lips. " I am expecting this, " she said.

"I'm sorry, " Jin said.

Margaux revealed a forced smile, " Hey don't be sorry. You only add insult to injury, " She said.

"Oh, " Jin blurted out.

" I have to go now, I only came to take my papers for transfer." He said.

Margaux took a deep breath, " I hope this won't be the last time that we see each other, " she said.

Jin just smiled and then he turned and left, but as long as Jin turned his back.

Margaux's tears automatically roll down to her face.

She's hurting that she can't make him stay.

All she could do is to watch him turn his back and leave!

--------

One week have passed.

Jin hasn't seen Yumi even if he is just in the mansion. She has really avoided him.

He wasn't able to talk to her and tell her that he's leaving.

Jin took a deep breath as he looked at the luggage on the floor.

'I guess I should just leave without talking to her.' He said inside.

"The taxi is here, "

Jin snapped back to his senses when he heard his mother spoke.

"Let's go?" Adelfa spoke again.

Jin just nodded his head. He then picks up their luggage and headed outside the servant's quarter.

The other servants are outside their bedroom, waiting for them to come out to say goodbye.

"Have a safe trip to the both of you, " The servant who is in charge inside the mansion said.

"Thank you, " Adelfa said.

"We'll gonna miss you both, " the other servants said.

"We will miss you too."

The servants went silent when they saw Alicia heading to them.

"Good morning Mrs. Alcantara, " the servants said.

"Good morning, " Alicia replied.

"Oh, Adelfa, we have to go back to our works, " The servants were forced to excuse themselves because Alicia was there.

"Ennn..." Adelfa nodded her head.

Alicia waited for the other servants to leave before she spoke to Adelfa.

"I guess, this is really a goodbye, " Alicia said.

Adelfa smiled, " Thank you for taking us in, Mrs. Alcantara, I can never forget your good deeds." Adelfa replied.

" Oh, it's nothing, " Alicia said, and then she lifted her hand which is holding a white envelope.

" Take this, " She said as she gave the envelope to Adelfa.

"This will help you start a new life to where ever you go," Alicia said.

Adelfa smiled as she held Alicia's hand. "Mrs. Alcantara, you were too good for us. You took us in when we don't have a place to go and I am thankful to you for that, but... " Adelfa paused as she looked at the envelope.

"I can't accept this, " she said as she pushed Alicia's hand lightly. "I have earned and saved money from working here, and I think it will be enough for me and my son." Adelfa added.

"Adelfa..." Alicia wanted to object but Adelfa tightened her grip to her hand.

"We're going to be alright, ma'am." Adelfa humbly said.

Alicia did not insist, she just nodded her head, but she seems to remember something,

"Anyway, Jin..." She called Jin.

Jin looked at Mrs. Alcantara,

"Are you not going to say goodbye to Yumi before you leave?" Alicia asked.

Jin froze for a moment.

He and Yumi haven't talk again since that night when she told him to avoid each other.

"Uh..." Jin concealed his loneliness. " I think it's not necessary to say goodbye to her, ma'am, he doesn't want to talk to me anyway." He said.

"Oh!" It's the only word that Alicia was able to blurt out.

----------

Yumi is inside the car heading to school. She notices Japhet and Ryan keeps on glancing on her through the rearview mirror.

"Why?!" Yumi can't help but ask sternly.

Japhet and Ryan looked at each other.

"What!"

"Do you have something to tell me?!" Yumi asked again.

"Uhm..." Ryan was the first one to spoke.

"We just wonder if..." Ryan seems to have second thoughts.

"What?!" Yumi is losing her patience.

" If the Young Miss knew that Jin is leaving the mansion?" Ryan finally finished his word.

Yumi frowned, " Of course I know!" She replied.

How would she not know?

The servants are talking about it the other week!

But even if she knew about it, she did not talk to Jin yet, she is waiting for him to approach her and bid his goodbye to her.

Yumi leaned on her seat.

"I just don't know when they are leaving, " She mumbled.

Ryan and Japhet looked at each other again.

*Ehem!* Japhet cleared his throat.

" They are leaving today, Young Miss."
