3 The angry cat

The man holding Queen has got to be one of the most handsome man she has ever seen. The moon shone brightly on his jet black hair and light silver eyes, giving the illusion that he is an otherworldly being. His sharp nose and marble like face as well as his thin lips were all reflected in Queen's eyes.

Time seems to stand still as they gazed into each other's eyes. Queen could see her own reflection in his eyes. A myriad of emotions passed through the man's eyes, ranging from surprise, happiness, confusion, irritation and many more before finally settling on anger.

He released his hold from her waist and took 2 steps back. Queen finally noticed how tall he was now that she could see him clearly. After the man settled down his emotions, he scoffed at her.

"So much for wanting to die."

"Huh?" was Queen's response. She could barely respond as she was flying on cloud nine. He is the beloved cat she's been looking for! For so long!

"You said you wanted to die and yet as soon as you were about to fall off, you started screaming like a banshee." He said coldly.

"Hmm I suppose I did." Queen finally responded with a light smile on her face. A glint of mischief flashed within her eyes as she continued staring at him without blinking. Her gaze was beginning to make the man feel uncomfortable as she wouldn't stop staring at him. It was also beginning to confuse him as he thought she would be looking sad and desolated after her suicide attempt as normal people would. But what's with this slightly sly smile and confidence shining in her eyes?

The man felt irritated when he saw no guilt within her eyes. Does she know how shocked he was when she nearly fell off? His heart almost went along with her and he doesn't even know why.

Feeling angry, the man immediately asked her the next question on his mind.

"So? How are you going to take responsibility for this?"

"Huh?" was Queen's response again. Her cat seemed angry for some reason. Why is that? Is it because he didn't eat enough sweets?

"You were going to commit suicide. Do you know what would have happened if you died? How many lives were going to suffer due to your actions?!" He yelled angrily. The more he spoke, the more angry he became. This girl almost died! If he didn't save her in time she would have died just like that! For reasons unknown to him, that thought saddened him so much, it nearly took his breath away. His feelings were so sudden, it was utterly absurd to him.

Queen let out a breathy laughter and it completely swept his sadness away.

"But I didn't have to worry did I?" She smiled as she looked at him. "You were there after all." She uttered those words with quiet conviction. After all, it's her cat. He would never let her down.

Her words stunned him. They were strangers, yet the trust she showed him was baffling. He didn't understand her at all. But this did not clear up the problem at hand. The man quickly reverted back to his cold and mocking persona. He glared at her coldly before giving her a long lecture.

"The responsibility I am talking about is in regards to my business. Had you died, my cruise would suffer. It would have to shut down due to your death and my employees would be fired. Do you know what happens then? They would be left unemployed and many of them have loans to pay off. They won't have any...." The man continued ranting, seeming like he would never stop. It was so unlike him to talk in long sentences. A family like his trained their children to be composed and quiet, which was exactly what he excelled in, yet he couldn't stop speaking. It irritated him to no end as he knew that the reason he is doing so is mainly because he is worried about her.

As for Queen, she stopped hearing what he said a long time ago. She quietly looked at him, feeling really shocked as she was being lectured by him. 'My cat is lecturing me. My cat is angry at me. I am being lectured by my cat. Goodness, who am I? Is the universe upside down?! Me? Being lectured by my cat?!! Isn't it supposed to be the other way round?!!'
