69 Meeting

Wan Lin and Quince busily went through their respective work. The pile of documents were being read by both of them, with almost the same speed. It was quarter to 6 before Quince gazed up and massaged the space between his brows lightly.

He looked at the time before turning to glance at his 'secretary.'

It was strangely amazing that she was adapting really well and could handle everything smoothly. It would not be unexpected if she had been working for years but this feat was done on the first day itself!

Through out the day, there had been various problems that demanded his attention. He could handle it but thanks to her assistance, those problems got cleared up much faster than when he had to deal with it alone.

She had background knowledge about almost every companies that he had dealt with and that saved a lot of time.

Anything she didn't know, she memorized it and was able to analyze it on the spot!

'Just how much information does she have about the group to be able to handle everything thrown at her?' Quince wondered. Had he not known about her identity, he would have assumed that she was a spy sent from one of his rivals! Her knowledge and skills were simply too astonishing.

Wan Lin didn't feel that everything she did was anything unusual. In her mind, her role was that of an extremely capable secretary, what she did was expected of her. Unbeknownst to her though, this became the biggest loophole for her lies to be exposed!

The clock struck 6 and Wan Lin raised her head up. She looked at Quince and saw that he was staring at her.

Wan Lin pushed her glasses up before saying in an impassive tone,"Boss, I will inform the driver to come pick us up."

"Alright." Quince replied in the same tone as her. His action mirroring hers perfectly. He then proceeded to keep his documents while Wan Lin grabbed a phone to call the driver.

Soon the both of them were standing in front of the building and waited silently for the car to come. Many employees that were going home saw them together and secretly took pictures of them.

The pictures circulated in all the employees' chat groups and soon rumors were being spread around. Speculations were flying about in regards to her identity, though most guessed that she was their boss's new secretary.

The car soon arrived and the driver came down to open the door for Quince. Wan Lin walked to the other side of the car and opened the door, preparing to sit in front with the driver.

"Sit behind." Quince said leisurely. There was quiet authorization in his voice and as his secretary, Wan Lin readily obeyed the order given.

She sat at the side, leaving a huge amount of space between them and looked at the view outside the car. Quince didn't say anything and merely closed his eyes, hoping to rest them before reaching the destination.

"Turn on the song." Quince commanded quietly with his eyes closed.

The driver was surprised by his request but quickly did what he was told. It seemed like his boss was in a fairly good mood which was completely different from his recent mood. Something good probably happened to his boss and the driver hoped to the heavens that that 'something' would always be there.

Wan Lin didn't interpret Quince's action as anything strange and merely leaned against the seat, enjoying the soft music being played in the car.

They were now headed to the hotel owned by Mister Antonio where the meeting was going to be held. It was quite far from the city and the ride would take at least 40 minutes.

The traffic wasn't heavy and they reached the destination without any problem.

They both got down from the car to see a dozen of people, dressed in professional attire, waiting for them in-front or the hotel's entrance. All of them bowed down and greeted their esteemed guests loudly.

"Welcome Mr.Esplanatda, Welcome Miss Wan."

Quince and Wan Lin didn't bat an eye at the greetings and merely proceeded forward.

"Mr.Antonio is waiting in the meeting room and dinner will be held right after." One of the women standing in front informed Wan Lin hurriedly.

Wan Lin nodded as it wasn't out of her expectations before relaying the information over to Quince. To which he merely grunted in reply and muttered under his breath,"Informal meeting then."

Wan Lin didn't reply as none was needed.

They were led to the large meeting room in the hotel and after shaking hands with Mister Antonio, a large Italian man, the meeting began.

Wan Lin sat beside Quince and noted down the changes in the business plan and added any new alterations.

The meeting was about the new construction of hotels in the Asian market. Mr.Antonio wanted to partner up with the De Roi Group as the De Roi group dominated the Asian market.

The meeting went smoothly and soon enough both men got up and shook hands.

"I hope there will be no problems." Quince said as he shook Mr.Antonio's hand.

"Of course not!" Mr.Antonio smiled right back, trying his best to assure Quince.

Quince was wary of Mr.Antonio's company from the start as Mr.Antonio was known to be quite cunning and sly. If the head of the De Roi group didn't want him to make this deal, he would never partner up with them.

"Let's have dinner shall we? I'm sure you and this young lady must be hungry." Mr.Antonio said with a smile on his face as he turned to look at the young woman beside his new business partner.

His eyes had been glittering every time he glanced at Wan Lin. It was true that the secretary looked extremely professional and her expression was void of any emotions, but the exquisite face behind the glasses couldn't be hidden from a Casanova like him.

Quince narrowed his eyes when he saw Mr.Antonio's smile. Quince was now radiating an extremely chilly aura, trying his best to control his emotions.

He had been tolerating the glances directed at his little devil all this time but since she was in disguise, he couldn't openly challenge him as it may arouse her suspicions.

Not sure if Mr.Antonio was aware of his impolite manner or merely sensed Quince's aura, but he immediately led the two out to the dining hall that had been reserved exclusively for their group.

Quince took a deep breath before following him, before turning to glance at Wan Lin, signaling her to follow closely after him.

Wan Lin wasn't sure why he wanted that, but she complied willingly. Wan Lin didn't know that her mere presence near by, calmed Quince down immensely, extending Antonio's peaceful time for a bit longer.
