17 Entry #17: Confrontation

We gathered underneath the mango tree. I was so thrilled. I couldn't wait to tell the boys about what we found out.

Rox pinched my waist. "You behave, Miss Detective. You look way too excited. You're gonna get a piece of Kuya Nick's mind again."

I pursed my lips together. I forgot about the grump!

When Simon and Nick arrived, my excitement reached its limit.

"Boys, boys! I found it. I got it!"

I heard Rox clear her throat. I also cleared my throat and stopped myself from showing excitement.

Like what they told me, this matter wasn't something to be thrilled about.

"Patricia's motive… I found it."

"Let's hear it," Nick said.

I didn't like the hint of sarcasm in his tone, but I was too focused on the news I was about to deliver, so I swept it beneath the rug.

"So I found out–"

"Ate," Rox inserted, "we. It's 'we'. We found out."

I rolled my eyes. "WE found out that Patricia was envious of Angel because she felt like she was invisible when she was around."
