Hellem The Demon of ignorance

The world that this story takes place in is called Hellem, in Hellem there are 4 main Kingdom's with towns and cities scattered in between and 4 main species besides lesser minded monsters and animals. The 4 species are Humans, Demi - Humans, (anything part human part animal) Elves and Demons. Demons are the least respected race as they are considered Untrustworthy and spiteful while Humans are considered the most civilized and good willed of all.

The Demi - Humans are in the middle and are mainly considered a bit of a mix.

While Elves are more mysterious and can vary heavily.

In this world land has a rank of priority and lands ranking is somewhat based on which species populate them, though it is mainly based on military power and dryvek (Money).

Demons unlike other species can be made via corruption of a human corpse and usually don't remember much from there past lives besides the things they knew most, this includes name, family, and sometimes past skills. Some may even act entirely different compared to how they used to be. There are a few ways this corruption can take place. It could happen if that person did something especially bad before they died such as mass murder,

they can also be purposefully corrupted by those with the right spell and equipment,

and lastly if they die only knowing pure sorrow and rage then in some rare cases they may become a demon.

They can also be made by breeding with Humans though have a low fertility rate both ways and may just result in a slightly different human. They cannot mate with any other species.

There are many "factions" if you want to call it that and there is 4.

1. The Legion. It is most commonly comprised of Humans and Elves. It's ideals are self righteous at times though they are known to be very courageous and strong.

2. Sicaro, Compromised of all species equally and mostly mercenaries for hire though they do have a bias against the Legion since it once tried to put a end to them.

3. Vyx, Mainly filled of war mongers they go around looking for the next big fight and it is comprised of Demons, Demi - Humans, and though rare there are a few Humans and Elves in their ranks. They usually attack small towns to get the attention of other factions so they can engage in combat. They don't have many soldier at any given time though those who survive gain experience and are usually much more skilled compared to other factions.

4. The Sanctum, Comprised of only Elves and Humans the Sanctum only cares for trade and are not experienced in battle. Now this may be considered as downside but their charisma balances the scale and they are easily able to make a good deal in return for protection from one of the other factions if needed.
