Chapter 4: Confusion

Cree arrived home only to find her parents and brother waiting for her in the living room, like she had done something wrong and was to be given a hard sanction.

"Am I in the right hose cuz it looks ike I'm in the wrong house with weirdos smiling awkwardly at me" Cree looked really mad and her parents realised it was not a good time to tell her. But Parker thought otherwise, he felt the news would cheer Cree as she secretly admired Brian.

"Cree guess whaaaat!!Parker poked Cree with his hand in a teasing manner."I don't like guessing, just tell me" Cree felt like pouring out her anger on her brother who was annoying her but she kept her cool. Parker let the cat out of the bag" Others may not notice but I'm your elder brother and I know you have had your eyes on Brian for a while now, well wish no more, Brian...........

Before he could finish his statement, a loud cry was heard upstairs from the attic. They all left with alacrity to the attic where they saw Sallly [a maid] on the floor in pain with blood on her hand. Parker helped her up and they took her downstairs. They all were shocked at the state they found her in.

Mrs Wen inquired "What happened?.....................................

The room was in awkward silence. Juliana asked again" Do you love me? Brian didnt know what tosay. He stuttered"Uhmm Uhmm, yyeeess. Juliana was surprised at his answer, if yes why did he do what he did? " Then why ask Cree for her hand in marriage? Brian didn't have an answer" Well well". He took Juliana and kissed her" That's all I can answer for now, I have somewhere I need to be right now. As he was about to leave he stopped and told Juliana" You look amazing". Brian left leaving Juliana in a state of astonishment. She took her purse and left dumbfounded.

As she got home she went up to her room ignoring the situation downstairs. She sunk into an armless couch and appeared pensive. "What was that all about? This is getting out of hand, first Brian asks to marry Cree and now he kisses me so passionately. I can't think about this any longer,I'm frustrated." Juliana looks at her phone and the notifications " 40 friend request from Facebook, let's check it out; Cole, Rida................,Samantha. Juliana clicks on Samanthas profile pic and realises" Isn't this? She rememberes the vieo she saw of Ryan and a lady," These are the same persons. Why would she ask for my friend request, Idon't know her and neither does she. Juliana accepts her friend request and opens her page where she sees a lot of her pics with Ryan.

"I can't take this anymore, I've been waiting for Ryan and I still am , I'm not just gonna let some rando take him away from me; no, not on my watch! What do I do? Juliana called a techy friend of hers. Can you help me with some stuff? They continued talking...............................................

They were all shocked to find out that Sally had been attacked. They wanted to enquire more from Sally on what really happened but they had been told by the doctor to let her rest. After a while, Sally further told them that she was attacked by armed men who stole Mrs Wen's secret cooking recipe. Mrs Wen exclaimed" What! my recipe, how am I going to win the competition now! How can they break into our house with the tight security. Mr Wen expressed his opinions" Let's forget about it what's important is there wasn't much damage.

That was strange, wasn't it? Which father would not care that goons broke into his house. Just because his family's lives were not affected doesn't mean they won't be in danger next time. This matter was more contorted and elaborate than it seemed...........................
