"You would not have felt the need and the strong drive for revenge and the strong drive for revenge as though it was your only purpose in life if I had not interfered. You would have not b…?" The first elder said as tears flowed down from one of his eyes. Streaming down his cheeks. 

Yet the other side of his face remained dry as though it had won the fight against the feelings of the heart. 

One side looked watery with eyes filled with regret, and one side looked one with hope and with a clear vision. The first elder felt so divided in their feelings that he felt that he didn't even know how to express both feelings at the same time. 

But amid the sadness that rushed through his whole being, he was struck with another wave of guilt crashing down unto his soul as he saw the young boy's eyes only got much colder the more he talked. 

The chill in the young boy's eyes wasn't concealed and only got colder the more he looked at it.
