Delineating report

Cahira was what you would call a woman who had the brains when it came to war, while also possessing a strong talent when it comes to swinging her sword. A person who's only the desire to stand at the top, although the underworld was a place where if one had the strength, acquiring what he desires would be entirely possible. But if one had no strength and still strived to achieve his desires, they would be nothing more than a naïve dream.

But even though that could be nothing more than a naïve dream, Cahira was sure that accomplishing this mission was the only opportunity she needs to get hold of her dreams that only seemed like a foolish thought till now, Cahira still didn't know why the clan leader selected her to be among the few for the task, but she didn't put much thought into it as the only response that came to her mind was an image of her sister

Choosing to clear her thoughts as she was tasked with scouting the area and didn't wish to lose focus of her surroundings, Cahira pushed those thoughts at the back of her head, as she began to notice how oddly strange the atmosphere was.

''Cahira, hold up we don't need to be that far apart from the group'' Borris who had been assigned the same orders as Cahira decided to call her out when he noticed she was going deeper into the forest.

Cahira stopped as soon she heard Borris's voice and decided to wait for him to catch up while she raised her senses to monitor the environment.

''So you have noticed it too?'' Borris said as he arrived right beside Cahira.

''Yes, I can understand why we were ordered to scout the area, but even after coming this far, it's strange that all the demonic beasts we had encountered were only dire rats'' Cahira responded as she searched for any details she could have missed.

''ha…''

''You are right, it's already odd enough that we haven't come across a primitive demonic beast, even after coming this far into the forest. But let's just hope it isn't something we couldn't handle''. Borris sighed loudly as he too wasn't sure what to make of the situation.

''Then isn't it better we had out separ....'' Cahira immediately withheld her words as she noticed an enormous amount of bloodlust that suddenly filled the atmosphere.

Borris was also alerted as he too felt an endless amount of bloodlust that didn't just fill the surrounding atmosphere, but were also focused on them. Focusing on the direction it was coming from because it was too immense to not sense the source of such bloodlust.

Borris looked ahead from his position, but alas it was too late, course as the immense bloodlust filled the atmosphere, the earth began their feet began to shake, beating like a drum as Borris saw the cause of the disturbance.

''CAHIRA, WE HAVE TO GO NOW'' Borris shouted, as he was aware of how dangerous the situation had become because what he saw was a large group of night gyxes, Cahira immediately snapped back into reality, as she quickly followed after Borris. But she immediately halted her tracks when she noticed that he wasn't heading back to the group.

''Cahira, I will stall the night gyxes to buy you more time, while you go back to inform the group'' Borris said.

''BUT THEY ARE ALL NIGHT GYXES, EVEN WITH YOUR STRENGTH, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO LAST A MINUTE, LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT EVEN HOLDING THEM OFF''. Cahira raised her voice loud enough to strain them.

She was right because the herd of demonic beasts currently making their way towards them were a group of mature night gyxes.

Each of them weighed about 9,000 pounds, possessing a robust body with relatively short legs, and by the looks of it, they were only composed of both 5th and 6th tier primitive demonic beasts, some possessing a body strength strong enough to lift about 12960kg to 25,920kg, each strength varying due to their tiers.

Although seeing this many primitive demonic beasts all at once wasn't a rare sight, Borris who was a 7th tier lesser ranked devil couldn't bear the full brunt of the assault, as even fighting off two 6th tier primitive demonic blood beasts without proper preparations was akin to suicide.

''Hahahaa… I know that. But I'm only holding them back for you to head back to the team and inform old man Bael about the current situation.''. Borris said as he laughed.

He knew that entering the Deadly volcanic region was already a suicide attempt, and for them to have made it this far was already as lucky as they could hope for. He had already given up his life the very moment he stepped through the Gulah forest.

Borris immediately stopped, as going any further would put his clansmen in danger. Unsheathing his two long swords, as his amour which looked bulky didn't manage to constrict his movement. Borris got into a stance that enabled him to swing his swords properly. He immediately activated his hereditary bloodline technique to intercept the herd of night gyxes.

GOLDEN ARC!!!

It was one of the techniques which only clansmen of the Golden steel clan who had awakened their hereditary bloodline could practice.

Although the Golden steel clan were a state-level clan, they were not the strongest in the same rank. But that didn't mean they were weak as they were a clan with a hereditary bloodline inheritance, the 'golden toothed bloodline'. A beast that went unmatched in the primitive demonic beast blood rank, as its body and bones were as strong as iron, and it could perfectly counter against a steel blade clashing down against it.

Borris kept on trying to hold back the night gyxes, forming a barrier with his body to hold them off. Although there were more than what he could handle, he knew that he just had to buy enough time for Cahira to return to the group, and warn them of the incoming threat.
