5 Blood Crystal

"You are a Vampire?!" Flin felt a chill run through his spine. Vampires were high level demons that were mostly active during the nights.

But unlike other demons who are unified against humans as their common enemy, the vampires were not unified. In fact, the vampires did not differentiate between humans and other demons. To vampires, every single being was a potential source of food wether they are humans, demons or even gods!

Moreover, the vampires were led by the 'Monarch of the Night' whose power rivalled the Supreme Demon King that ruled the demons. With this backing, the vampires were unrestrained towards their actions.

So hearing that he had saved a vampire, Flin felt conflicted. 'I should kill him before he harms others!' A hint of foreign violence appeared in his eyes.

Olis did not understand Flin's emotions, but seeing the special mission's details he had a basic idea of Flin's character. He was also able to relax a little seeing the low difficulty of this mission.

The mission mentioned that Flin was a human with a strong sense of 'Justice'. This meant that he would most likely never a harm an innocent creature. And Olis, was an innocent creature.

Once Flin noticed that he had no reason to fear a crippled vampire, his eyes shone with a bright light as he got up and dusted his butt.

He then conjured a Divine Light which he pointed at the unmoving Olis. He tried to look as ruthless as he could could to intimidate Olis.

"Say! Have you ever killed someone?" Flin questioned in a calm tone. Even though he had never seen a Demon before, the church had imprinted the proper procedures to interrogate a Demon in him. So Flin could at least maintain his calm when he was the dominant party.

Still sobbing Olis replied. "No! I have never killed anyone in this world!"

Hearing Olis's reply, Flin's expression became a little more gentle. He had been using the Divine Light which did not accept Lies in its presence. Since the Divine Light had not reacted, Olis might not be a bad person.

"Say, why did you fall down from the Sky?" Even though Flin accepted Olis was an innocent guy now, it did not mean Olis would still be one in future. So Flin decided to test Olis a little more. If Olis lied to him, Flin would not hesitate to kill Olis.

"This" Olis hesitated but chose to speak at last. "Sigh! I don't the exact reason, I had never caused the vampire colony any trouble that I know of! but it seems like I was banished from the place I lived until yesterday! Sob! Sob!" Olis did not Lie.

"Oh!" Flin fell into a deep thought. Did the Vampire colony chase him away? Did he do something the Vampire Colony disliked? After all, this vampire had been living there until yesterday. Moreover, since he was pushed away, the Vampire colony most likely expected him to die, Right? If not for me, this vampire would have been dead by now, his body eaten by monsters who would have been attracted to the smell of his blood.

After much deliberation, Flin decided that Olis was a truly innocent creature. Even though he had never heard of a demon that was innocent, he still chose to believe his own eyes. But he still did not completely trust this blood thirsty creature.

After all, a vampire survived on blood. At one point of time they would have tasted blood to stay alive. Because of this, Flin asked a lot of questions, most of them related to Olis's behaviour.

After much deliberation, Flin was finally able to come to a single conclusion. And that conclusion was, Olis was a lazy bum!

"Sigh! I believe you! But as a human it is against myself to help a demon. Since you drank my blood, I have to get something back in return." Saying till this, Flin took the sliver dagger by his waist and cut Olis's eyeballs making him let out a sky piercing howl.

"I am sorry! I am a human after all!" After destroying both of Olis's eyes, Flin did not care about Olis anymore and left the scene. Even if Olis died at this moment, Flin would not care. As a human, he would never help a Demon, not even in his dreams. That was the bottom line of all humans!

2 minutes after Flin left the scene, a wolf that was attracted to the blood slowly poked its head out and slowly made its way towards Olis. It's eyes revealed a hint of hunger as it licked its lips savagely.
