CHRIS' POV

After an hour or so we were sent to our bedrooms to rest. I still can't help thinking about my fiancé. I think I might consider it cause man have you seen her. Whoah no sane man will ignore her.

I was really expecting a primadonna or a queen bee but I was wrong. She's not even wearing a dress. She was just wearing a black jeans, a white v-neck tee and a black chucks and she's rocking it.

I was once again awaken by the loud banging noise on my door. I had every intentions of ignoring but it just became louder so i did what I had to and get the door

"get dressed, I'll meet you downstairs in 10. We're expected at the hotel in 1000hours." Jane said then left.

As I descend the stairs I was met by a gorgeous woman wearing a black off shoulder dress that stops mid thigh, her hair's in a high pony tail just like yesterday but this time she's wearing a white chucks and the only accessory she has on is her dog tag – I think im drooling

"take a picture, it'll last longer." She said that pulled me out of my revere that I had to mentally shake my head to think of a smart comeback.

"yeah, very much." I replied with a smirk and she yet again just rolled her damn precious eyes. oh boy this is bad

As we head to their garage, it looks like a car show room – don't get me wrong dad has sort of have this car show room aka their garage, yeah their cause im barely home since I enlisted – from Porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Rolls Royce, to BMW name it they have it here o man my dad's best friend sure is loaded too but I was surprised as she stopped in front of me on board a black pick up.

"hop in or we'll be late and we'll never hear the end of it.. well at least me from my mom." She motioned me to board her car.

"why a pick up?" curiosity is eating me up so I had to ask.

"ha?"

"car?"

"oh yeah my baby his name's Max. what about my baby?" she replied eyes still on the road but smiling – the one that reaches her eyes not the fake one.

"just curious, of all the cars in your garage you chose this."

"its because I bought this using my salary from the military, the rest its just gifts from my parents." She said with a-matter-of-factly tone. I cant help but admire her now cause she's really the opposite of what I was expecting for a daughter of the richest man in a country.

Instead of letting a valet park her car, we went straight to the parking area – she's really something. As we unload the car men In black approached us in a protective stance and from the looks of it they are her bodyguards.

"at last the lovebirds arrived." My mom said as we approached their table.

"join us let's start." Dad said so we joined them and while waiting for the food

"Princess, why don't you go on a vacation with Chris so you two would start to get to know each other?" her mom suggested with hopeful eyes

"mom, you know I can't." she replied while rolling her eyes – ahaha cute

"yes you can princess cause you don't have a choice." Her mom insisted

"I REALLY CAN'T!" she's pissed I can tell the way her muscle and jaw tensed.

"and why is that so, Celestine Jane Contreras." Here we go the whole name card which I know too well – she's really my mom's friend ahahaha

"OKAY.." she sighed then continued "One, I was only granted a 5days RnR and Two, I ship out in 4days and I need to go back to base day after tomorrow. Dad knows this no he planned this." She declared with finality but her mom thinks otherwise

"is this how you treat your fiancé?"

"in the first place if you didn't threaten me of being dismissed from the military, I wouldn't be here. I only said yes cause I belong there and I love my job and the people I work with. I will cooperate with you cause I know the merger of the two companies will make way for a good cause but on one condition that is we'll do it on my terms. I am sick and tired of you using the ill-do-everything-I-can-in-my-power-to-have-you-discharged-from-the-military card I so love you mom and dad but I can no longer tolerate this." with that she stormed out of the hotel and her sudden outburst left our parents dumbfounded, I took that opportunity to flee and followed her in her car.

"and what the hell do you think you're doing mister?" she snapped at me as she noticed me on her 6.

"that's Captain Grey for you, babe" I retorted and she smirked

"Colonel Contreras for you" She retorted

That's a need to know! So we just have the same rank – different title cause we came from 2 different branch of the armed forces regardless of the country

"may I remind you that we don't salute the same flag sir and never ever call me babe.!" Im starting to love the way she rolls her eyes. I know better so I raised my hands in act of a mock surrender but I still followed her as we approach her car men in black are back but she shook her head telling them not to follow us but they still moved towards us that's when she said

"one more step and ill shoot you." With a tone a sane individual won't dare to defy. "just tell him I threatened you."

We're now driving for almost an hour, I know she's in deep thought the way her jaw clenched and as her knuckles were almost white due to gripping the steering wheel too tightly. I let her be for another 30minutes but I cant take it anymore

"can we stop at the nearest diner o a drive thru? Im starving." She glanced at me with a brow raised.

"what I haven't had breakfast yet cause you almost dragged me out of my room then before I can grab my lunch you stormed out of the hotel." I explained

"I didn't ask you to follow me, SIR." Emphasizing the last word

"do you really expect me to stay there and allow them to manipulate my life any further? I don't like this arrangement – engagement thing as much as you do and just like you I was just threatened that I'll they take my life away from me completely – the military. So we can continue fighting each other or we fight together?" by the time I finished my rant I had her full attention and we're parked in front of a fast food chain.

"well, we stand a chance if we fight together. So yeah let's fight and we just need to devise a plan but for now let's eat first im famished."

"finally."

We both stood in line for she refused to stay on our table and just wait. As we eat, Cheese burger, fries lots of it and soda, we started to brain storm so we can strategized.
