Chapter 21: Introductions~

(1'st POV)

After Sae-chan walked out of the classroom, the classroom was in an awkward silence for a while which was soon broken by a blonde-haired boy who clapped his hand to get our attention

"Everyone listen to me for a second please," The blonde boy said and after affirming that he got everyone's attention started speaking again

"Starting from today, we will be in the same class for the next three years. So, it would be great if all of us could introduce ourselves and become friends. We still have time until the entrance ceremony, so what do you think?" The boy said and I think that it's a good idea as I seriously didn't know anyone other than Kirukiru-san's name and it seems like most of the students agreed with his words and the rest were indifferent

"Well since I was the one who thought about this idea let me introduce myself first," The boy said

"My name is Hirata Yosuke. Because I was often called by my first name, Yosuke, in middle school, feel free to use my first name. Although I like all sports, I like soccer in particular, and also plan to play soccer at this school, I have also trained in various fields of magic and am quite adept at using wind-magic, please take care of me" Hirata-san said although I think he trusts people too easily as he even told about his strength's and the fields where he is the most adept at, though telling about this can help acquire other people's trust easily it will also tell everyone about your abilities and your enemies can use that information to plot against you, now weighing the pro's and cons, its clear that the pros are way less and thus I wouldn't advise doing that

[Not everyone has an Innate Ability and even if some people in Class-D had innate abilities they would choose to hide it. Why? 'cause it's not something to share with publicly]

After Hirata-san (not gonna call him Yosuke out of the blue, it's creepy) finished his introduction, several other people also introduced themselves, some were creepy, some were joking, some were lying and some seemed totally indifferent to the development, though it seemed the girl currently introducing herself now is quite friendly as I could understand from her tone

"My name is Kushida Kikyou, and since none of my friends from middle school came to this school, I want to get to know everyone and become friends!" Kikyou-san said to the classroom cheerfully as she continued to talk about herself, though not suspicious it was quite unusual as most students finished their introduction after a few sentences

"First of all, I want to become friends with everyone here. After all of you are done with your introductions, please exchange contact information with me!" She said as she continued her long introduction though it wasn't boring to listen to because of her cheerful demeanor

"Then, during vacations or after school, I want to make memories with many people, so please invite me to many events. Although I don't specialize in any field of magic, because of my Innate Ability called Ameliorate which boosts the power of my healing magic, I specialize in healing magic. Now, I've been talking for a while, so I'll end my self-introduction here" Kikyou-san said as she finally finished her introduction which essentially told us everything about her including information about her Innate Ability which will surely make her more popular as not everybody has an Innate ability and coupled with her cheerful personality, she will be one of the most popular girls in our class, though was it really worth it to tell about her Innate Ability to us? I don't think so as it could have been her trump card in the face of calamity

Anyway moving on when Hirata-san asked the next student to introduce himself, the student shot him a glare before arguing with him and leaving the classroom along with some other people who were probably jealous of the attention Hirata-san was getting, such inept people ~

After some boys lead by the Red-haired delinquent who argued with Hirata-san exited the classroom, some other students also took their leave, although it seems they left not because of jealousy, but 'cause they found the whole introduction thing pointless, as I could tell from the expression of a beautiful black-haired girl as she walked out of the classroom

"W-well, it seems that they didn't want to introduce themselves or it might be my fault for addressing the situation as such, but anyways let's move on as we could surely get to know them later and should now continue with our introductions," Hirata-san said as he addressed the class, after which the remaining students continued to introduce themselves albeit a brown-haired boy caught my eyes, named Ayanokoji Kiyotaka though I soon discarded it and now it was finally Amou-san's turn

"Well my name is Kirukiru Amou, I can play the Piano and am quite experienced at wielding swords. I can also play Lawn tennis and am quite adept at using magic, though I prefer hand to hand combat" Amou-san said as she got a round of applause from the other students s she seated herself

After which it was my turn to introduce myself~

"My name is Izayoi Zirechs and I am looking forward to being with you guys for the next three years~, although I can play many instruments I prefer and am quite skilled at the Piano and Violin. I am quite adept at fighting with magic and don't specialize in any field of magic, and although I don't generally play any sports, I am quite experienced at basketball. As for my hobbies, I like to do calligraphy and read books I guess~" I said as I addressed the entire class which applauded me after I finished my introduction. Well, I didn't lie at all during my introduction and I think I did quite well as I could feel some gaze of admiration from some students~

"Well then guys, we have to move on to the gymnasium now or we would be quite late for the entrance ceremony and I really don't want to annoy Sae-sensei for the second time," I said to the others who agreed with me after laughing a little

After which we headed towards the gymnasium to attend the entrance ceremony~
