Chapter 7: REDPO1 mission

While the two of them were conversing, the alarm bell buzzed on Shuzo's unit cell phone.

Alerted by it, Shuzo quickly picks up the phone.

As soon as he picked it up, the superior of the Special Unit gave the mission alertly, "SU110 and SU111 prepare to aid the REDPO1 mission at once. You are to leave within 20 minutes"

The phone soon hangs with it.

SU110 and SU111 is the special unit number assigned for Shuzo and Leina respectively. It was like the employee identity for them.

Shuzo was left disturbed by the sudden mission that he turned to glance at Leina with a serious face. Alarmed by it Cuifen asked in fright, "Why?! Is something wrong?!"

Shuzo responded with an intense gaze in his eyes, "We are given a mission!"

He then instantly hold down Leina and spoke up assuringly, "Don't you worry. I will always be there to help you, Leina. I will not let it uncover that you have lost your memory"

Cuifen was left berserk by it that she turned to gawk at Shuzo with a terrified face and inquired puzzledly, "What is this mission all about?!"

Shuzo turned to look at her and replied perturbingly, "We are to aid those who are sent for the REDPO1 mission"

"REDPO1 mission was sent to a place further away from the Vega. It lies on the far urban side. The main task of this mission is to kill the zombies and the mutated species and to bring the body back to FURUD ", Shuzo added acutely.

Stunned by it all, Cuifen asked Shuzo disturbingly, "FURUD?! What's that?!"

Shuzo explained in haste, "It is the camp which lies a few miles away from the Vega. There the experts grew and produced crops. FURUD is the only food supply of the giant Vega! Where else do you think our food comes from?!"

Bewildered by it, Cuifen turned to Shuzo and inquired in curiosity, "Between, ge why do we need to kill and bring back those zombies and mutated species?!"

Shuzo was left appalled by Leina's curiosity, seems like she has no idea what in the world is going on. Her memory has been gone for the worst.

Shuzo turned his gaze at Leina and replied with his eyes fixated on her, "Leina, those dead zombies and the mutated species will, later on, be purified and thrown into the field. It will be used as a fertilizer to grow the crops!"

Cuifen eyes were left widened by it. Never in the world did she think that she would eat the food made up from those bizarre fertilisers. Looks like this world is crazier than it seems.

As Cuifen learns about the future, it was turning wilder and bizarre.

While she was mulling over it, Shuzo quickly stood up and pats on Leina's shoulders. He then clamoured with a concerned face, "Quick! Get ready. Wear the unit's uniform. We don't have much time"

Cuifen shooked her head at it while Shuzo left the spot.

Looks like the years of acting skills that Cuifen has been cultivating in the Shanghai training academy will come in handy now.

It was the time to show off her acting skills.

Since her role was a special unit force, she now has to act brave and cool like those in the action scenes she has worked. This is not a time to be timid, her life and death will be solely based on her performance. Therefore, with a strong intention, Cuifen walked ahead towards the closet.

She soon pushed the button which leads to the opening of the closet.

With it, there was an instant long beeping sound coming out from the system and the lid was soon opened.

As Cuifen looks at the closet, she was left shocked by it. The dresses which were in Leina's closet mostly consist of shirts, pants, trousers and unit uniforms. There was not even one single beautiful dress in her closet. Was it because fashion has changed over time?! Or was it because no one cares about fashion anymore that they instead choose to wear trousers and pants that are comfortable to move around?!

Cuifen was left mesmerized by it.

Acknowledging that there isn't much time to ponder and mulled over the fashion sense, Cuifen quickly took out the dark blue pants and shirts of the Special unit and wore them comfortably.

It was a perfect fit. The uniform was hugging beautifully on Leina's body. It was made of the finest material which protects the body from harmful radiation and has its virus screening mechanism on it.

Feeling satisfied at it, Cuifen quickly took out the unit boots and wore them.

She then quickly came out from there.

As she approached the main hall, she saw Shuzo standing handsomely and was waiting for her.

Shooked upon seeing her, Shuzo clamoured in surprise, "Where are your laser guns?! You didn't even wear the gadgets as well?!"

Cuifen puzzledly looked at Shuzo, while Shuzo held Cuifen by her hands and immediately took her to Leina's closet room.

He then pushed the button which leads to open the weapon storage section in Leina's closet.

After an instant beep, the system opens up.

There lie various weapons meant to be used by the special unit forces.

While Cuifen was gasping at it, Shuzo went ahead and took out the laser guns and handed them to Leina.

He then spoke up cautiously, "Used it well. This can cause great damage to the species"

He then took out the single ear headset with a mic on it and help to carefully put it onto Leina's ears.

Cuifen was left staring at Shuzo's attentive act in awe.

Soon after fixing it properly, Shuzo turned to look at her and spoke coolly, "Don't ever lose it!"

He then moved on ahead and took out the hologram watch of the Special unit and help to put it onto her wrist.

He slowly leans to it and turned it on. Shuzo then turned to look at Leina with his intoxicating eyes and taught her in seriousness, "If you pushed this button it will show you where the creature is coming and heading towards. Just follow this image and you will get to know and target better. If anyone outside of the special unit asked you for your identity, then pushed this button. This will show them every little detail about you"
