7 Knights, a Princess, and a Craftsman

Draig sat in his shop looking out the window, he seemed to be just lazing about. It was odd as usually he would be hammering away at some metal or making a bit of medicine, he could even be making talismans now but he didn't do any of these things. Strewn about the room you could see the products that he had made but there seemed to be no more space to fit anything else.

A knock on the door alerted Draig to him having company but he didn't open the door, another round of knocks came but more urgent. The knocking ceased when his door once again fell from it's hinges and hit the floor forcing the craftsman to turn around with his deadpan in full effect.

"Oh so you are home" came the innocent words from his doorway.

"What do you want now" asked Draig, he wasn't really in the mood to deal with too much.

"My Father sent me to deliver a message, you are being called to the Knight's table" explained the white haired girl.

"Why" asked Draig already making his decision of whether he was going or not.

"For an incident involving you and the other members of the Table" explained the girl.

"Oh then I'm not going" stated Draig turning to continue staring out the window not noticing the girl flick her eyes nervously to the side.

"It wasn't a choice" came the gravelly voice of the girl's companion.

Draig turned around and saw that a large built man had stepped into his shop.

"And your name is" started Draig raising his finger.

"Not important" finished Draig letting lightning impact the giant of a man but surprisingly wasn't much of a scratch causing Draig to smile.

"That is what everyone is so afraid of" asked the man before his world was lit up.

A fierce bolt of lightning tore the man's armor asunder and Draig casually walked over looting the man of his money.

"What was your name again" asked Draig looking at Zaren's daughter who had a nervous look in her eyes.

"Winter" answered the girl closing her eyes expecting lightning.

"Alright, well Winter take him back with you and let them know I will not be attending" answered Draig dumping the two outside before wedging his door back in place.

Winter was dumbstruck as she drug the man behind her to the meeting room of the Knight's table.

Draig meanwhile was staring at the many glimmering pieces of deadly artwork he had crafted, he hadn't seen a customer in a long time.

Then again to him an hour was a long time, Draig went over to a nearby table before pulling out bandana sized piece of cloth and a vial of monster's blood. Quickly he began to scribble many odd symbols along the cloth before running a rope through the slits made around the rim of the cloth turned pouch. Soon after he began chanting some odd words before the bag glowed lightly, looking it over Draig found it to be in order.

Picking up the bag Draig opened it's top and the numerous blades and armor laying around the room were sucked into the bag. Impressed with his own ingenious design on the Bottomless Bag Draig wished he could pat himself on the back.

However Draig began to feel sleepy all of a sudden, unknown to him a certain Head Knight had seen fit to blow an odd powder through his window.

'You will thank me later Draig' thought Zaren as he watched Draig hit the floor before motioning for Winter to get him.

"Dad do you think he will be mad when he wakes up" asked Winter looking at the sleeping Craftsman warily, she still remembered how easily he handled the Orcs from before.

"Naturally he will not be pleased and as such I have formulated a plan" stated Zaren confidently gaining the starry eyed look of his daughter.

"What is it" asked Winter with admiration.

"I call it the Swoop and Swap, first we swoop up our target and then upon delivery of the target we redirect their anger towards someone else" laughed Zaren as if he was a genius causing Winter to stare at him in awe.

Soon enough the two had delivered Draig to the meeting hall of the Knightly Orders, now they waited as neither of the two wanted to be involved with waking Draig.

"Why isn't he awake" asked the Skinny Knight

"He is a deep sleeper" answered Zaren while looking away hiding his nervousness.

"Well someone has to wake him up" snarled the Skinny Man

"You do it" shot Zaren immediately causing those in the room to become a bit wary but the Skinny Man seemed to not catch on as he walked down to the center of the room and actually slapped Draig.

Zaren felt his jaw drop before he ducked behind his chair, his actions caused the rest of the Knights to feel even more alarmed. However there was nothing but the sound of Draig's steady breathing as he slept.

The Skinny man hadn't noticed Zaren or his actions as of yet as he reared his arm back to take another slap but his hand never met its mark when a pillar of earth shot from the ground successfully uppercutting the Skinny man. Before the rest of the Knights had time to react Draig was already standing his restraints broken casually before he looked all around the room and as he looked at each face his expression took on a sour look.

Finally the Craftsman landed his eyes on the nervous looking Zaren, nodding to himself he pointed his finger towards the sky causing those in the room to be confused for but one second when a earthshaking rumbling rocked the building.

"I did not want to be here" stated Draig looking around dangerously as his finger began crackling with electricity.

"Sir Craftsman, I assure you that this is definitely the best decision" started Zaren but Draig cut him off before he could finish.

"For who" cut Draig as an even fiercer bout of thunder rocked the building alarming those in the room but they found earthen walls blocking the exits.

Zaren stopped at that question, it was plain to see that they were now at Draig's mercy. So was there really ever a need to bring him here to avoid trouble.

"Craftsman if you dare to act you will be charged with the death of Her Highness" stated the Grand Knight as made himself known with a girl next to him.

"Do you think I am can be concerned with something like that, I could drop this lightning and end every witness here" stated Draig causing many mouths to dry at the truth in his words.

The Grand Knight was gobsmacked, he had thought maybe a bit of pressure would straighten things out but he never had leverage to begin with.

"It's you" came the sudden cry from the girl by the Grand Knight.

Draig turned and actually looked at the girl but he couldn't find anyone in his memory that looked like this girl.

"Do I know you" asked Draig causing many in the room to freeze.

To be recognized by any member of the royal family yet this youth dare had the audacity to act as if they were strangers.

"You saved me and my group from Goblins" stated the girl with a twitching brow.

"Oh, that was you" asked Draig as the earth shook from another round of thunder reminding everyone that at the present they were in a dire situation.

"Sir Craftsman surely it would not be too much to ask for you to cease your actions" started the princess but Draig wasn't amused.

"Cease what actions, I am acting in self defense against my kidnappers" stated Draig causing everyone in the room to widen their eyes.

They had in fact kidnapped him technically but was it really necessary to call down a divine storm to smite them.

"I am sure there is a misunderstanding here" started the princess again as sweat began to drip from her forehead.

"There is no misunderstanding, I was invited here to which I rejected the invitation and now I wake up here. That is in fact Kidnapping taking someone against their will" stated Draig as the lightning around his finger began to arch towards the ceiling as if begging to be connected to the sky.

"If we allow you to leave will you stop this storm" asked the Princess with a bit more sweat building.

"Allow me to leave? I could have done that in the beginning but now that you all seem to understand me I think I will let this one slide" stated Draig who with a snap of his fingers dispersed the storm.

Everyone inside the room breathed a sigh of relief, honestly the entire spectacle was too close to death for most of them who had merely expected to meet and discuss what should be done. It was different from going to battle knowing that you might die, that fear of death would drive you to live but being put in a situation to die without any means of struggle that was too much.

Draig let his eyes pass over everyone's faces for a moment before he took out a black rag and tied it around his face before pointing his finger in the shape of a gun and holding out his newest creation.

The Knights in the room looked dumbfounded at what was happening as they had never seen something like this before.

"Well what are you waiting for" asked Draig shaking his bag while aiming his finger at the Knights.

"I'm not sure" answered one of the Knights nervously.

"Put the money in the bag" stated Draig shaking the bag once again while his finger crackled with lightning.

Those proud figures who had already been disgraced once were now being shook down by someone more than half their age, they knew that their ancestors were turning in their graves as the scene of several distinguished people tossed their valuables into the bag.

"I will be leaving now" said Draig casually listening to the clinking of crystals in his bag with a pleased smile.

Those eyes following him out the room couldn't help but wonder what in the heavens could have brought such a force to this world, while these thoughts were flying a certain deity was sneezing uncontrollably.

"Damnit, I can't be sick. I literally invented disease" came the angered cry from the heavens
