1 Chapter 1; What a wonderful morning.

"Sky...Skyler wake up!" A small boy with freckles shook her awake, it was Al. "C'mon you lazy goof, Jackal's making breakfast." Skyler smiled, "Oh no, it seems I cant get up! Whatever will you do!" Al rolled his hazel eyes, he pushed her and tried to drag her out of their room. "I'll tell Copper your the one who broke his goggles!" Skyler sat up, "Wait...werent you the one who broke them, playing skiffball in the house after you were told not to?" He walked backward, crossing his arms. "And who will he beleive, me or you?" Skyler thought for a moment, "Hmmm, not if I get to him first!" She sprang up on her feet and pushed passed Al laughing. Al started to run behind her, "No fair!" They both ran down the hall pushing and shoving eachother. When they got to the kitchen, Jackal, Copper, and Gidget were already sitting down at the table. Jackal got up, she threw Al over her shoulder when him and Sky shoved their way in the room. "I see you got Sky up finally." Al started hitting on her back, "Put me down! I have something to tell you about Sky!" She put him down, "And what is this about?" Al smiled, "Well...Copper-" Sky sprang toward him knocking them both to the floor, she covered his mouth. "Oh no you don't! Copper, Al was the one who broke- Ow!-" Al bit her hand, she stepped back. Jackal got between them, she grabbed Al by the shoulder and Sky paused. Copper swallowed his food and got up, "What did Al break?" Sky worded the word 'goggles' with her mouth. He nodded, "Hm, thought so. Al, as punishment for playing skiffball in the house and keeping it from me, your going into the city to get me an int." Jackal's eyes widened, "Copper!" He laughed, "It was a joke. C'mon lighten up Jack, I want Al to clean the gutters." Gidget laughed, "Good one Copper!" Jackal whipped her head around facing Gidget with a serious look on her face. "Gidget dont. Go take Sky and Al into the basement...me and Copper will be there in a few minutes." Copper smiled innocently, and Gidget nodded quick. They got up and pat Sky on the shoulder and grabbed Al's hand. "Lets go kiddos."

When they got to the basement, Al picked up a skiffball. "Hey guys, whats an int? Why did Jack react so badly?" Sky snorted and plopped down on the long, old couch. "You want to know what an int is, well its this-" Gidget put their finger over her mouth, "Nope, your gonna rise a storm out of Jack and she's already getting onto Copper for it. Al an int is nothing important, its just-...nevermind." Sky waved her arms in the air, "You were laughing about it earlier! Come on Gidget your no fun."

Al threw the skiffball against the wall and caught it when it bounced back, about 20 minutes had passed already. "When is Jack gonna be done yelling at Copper, I'm bored." Sky rubbed her eyes, she looked like she was about to sleep, Gidget was already asleep. "Not like your gonna do anything fun when they get back, you have to clean out the gutters. Remember?" He turned to her and stuck out his tongue, "Snitch!" he threw the ball at her but she quickly caught it with her hand. She then tossed it behind the couch, "Go pout about it, your the one who didnt listen." Al sighed, "...Sky?" She groaned, "Hmm?" He smiled, "Why did you sneak out yesterday?" Sky jolted up and Gidget woke up while Al smiled innocently. Gidget whirled their head around to Sky, "You did what?! If Jack finds out your dead." "If I find out what?" Jack asked while walking down the stairs without Copper. Sky rubbed her neck, "Where's Copper?" Jackal sat next to Gidget and sighed. "He's doing the dishes as punishment, later he'll be cleaning the whole house." "Even the gutters?" Al asked with hope, Jackal shook her head. "Nope, your not getting out of this one Al. Now, what am I finding out?" "What do you mean?" Sky asked with sweat forming across her forehead. "Gidget...spill it." They sighed, "Sorry Sky..." Sky flipped off the back of the couch, "Noooooo." They rubbed their eyes, "Al was getting onto Skyler about being a snitch and shared some info about Sky...and y'know the info wasnt that bad it was just-" "Gidget." She rubbed her temples and Gidget sighed once more. "Skyler snuck out into the city last night." Jack nodded and got up, she walked towards Sky, "Skyler...what did you do-" Sky got up and ran up the stairs, running past Copper. "You'll never catch me alive!" She yelled from far away. Jack's face frowned and Gidget gulped. "Oh no, Sky's in trouble. Jack why dont you go easy on her?" She put crossed her arms and faced them. "Go easy on her?! The cities not safe, she could've gotten hurt! Now instead of facing me about it, she runs away like a child?! Theres no going easy on her now." She stomped up the stairs and walked past Copper. He smiled nervously, "Uh Jack?-" She kept walking, "Not now Copper, keep working." He nodded, Al tried to come upstairs and follow but Copper held him back. "I beleive you still haven't cleaned out the gutters. Why dont you do that?...Gidget go with him and make sure he doesnt run off again." They nodded and swung their arm around Al's shoulder, "Lets go bud."

Sky ran into her room and shut the door, since their was no lock she grabbed chair and put it under the knob. Jack tried to open the door but couldn't, "Skyler open the door! This could go smooth if you just cooperate!" Sky sat on her mattress, "Not gonna happen Jack." "If you would just tell me what you did in the city, this would all end!" She banged on the door and Sky shook her head. "No, it doesnt even matter. Its none of your business!" She jiggled the knob trying to open it but stopped. "Sky, were a family and I want you safe. Just tell me what you were doing." "I am safe!...fine." She pulled out a bag of gold coins and kicked the chair aside. She opened the door and tossed the bag at Jack, "Happy?" Jack sighed, "Gambling again? You need to stop-" Sky pushed passed her, "I thought you only needed to know what I was doing, not giving a stupid lecture I've already heard." Sky went outside to see Gidget helping Al up to reach the gutters. Copper walked outside aswell, he was done washing dishes. Al hopped down and ran to Sky, "So? Did you get a punishment too?" He smirked, Sky looked at him with a frowning expression. "...shut up." He laughed, "HAH! I'll take that as a yes!" She grabbed some dirt and shoved it in his mouth. "I said shut up!" He started coughing and gagging, Gidget ran to grab some water. Copper grabbed her shoulder, "Skyler! Why would you do that?!" Everything went blurry for her, she was getting dizzy but stood there staring. Jack ran outside with Gidget as they gave Al some water and pat him on the back. Jack was yelling at her but she couldn't hear, she woke up after Jack slapped her. "Whats your problem?! Skyler! Answer me!" Sky looked around and Jack grabbed her chin and pulled her closer, "I'm talking to you!" After Al threw up all the dirt, his eyes were bloodshot with his hair and clothes soaked with sweat. Al had blood coming from his nose and Copper helped clean him up. He smacked his hands away and got up but stumbled a bit, "Hey! I almost died what the heck Sky?! You know what you are?! Your a hex!" Copper laid a hand on his shoulder, "Al...your going to overwhelm yourself. Take deep breaths, lets go inside." He nodded, they walked inside as Gidget followed.

Jack threw Sky to the ground, "Sleep in the shed and think about what you've done! Or better yet just go out in the city and have the time of your life!" She threw the bag of coins at her, "Go ahead!" Once Jack walked back inside, Sky sighed and threw the coins down. She stayed out there all day, when the sun got down she peeked through the window to see everyone smiling happily and eating. Gidget glanced and frowned, they looked back and ate some more. Sky walked away from the window, she picked up her coins and stared off into the distance.

Jack looked out from the inside and stared at her, "This is her final desicion, she'll either go and leave us or she'll make the right desicion and realize what she did was wrong, by staying." Al sighed, "I'm mad at her but I dont want her to leave." Gidget nodded, "I agree, today was rough but if Sky leaves...then- I dont know." Copper looked back at Jack and she looked back at all of them. "I guess we'll have to see."
