Chapter 11: The Demonic Kings
Sei looked up and stared at the 2nd Demonic King. He wondered if he would be allowed to join the 2nd Demonic King's forces. After all, the Demonic Cult works in an interesting way. The hierarchy of the Demonic Cult was all based on a numbered ranking system.
As long as one could defeat one of a higher rank, they would swap ranks. It didn't matter if the two were the highest-ranked and lowest-ranked. Although in such cases, the one that used to be of a higher rank would rise in rank incredibly quickly.
"Alright then, boy. I will permit you to participate in the trial. But whether you go under me depends on your own strength.", the 2nd Demonic King stated. Sei smirked as he slammed his head into the ground.
"I gratefully thank the 2nd Demonic King!". Sei got up and began to follow the guards to a chamber where he would stay until the day of the trial. While Sei was not happy, he was optimistic about his future. I mean, who wouldn't be if one could grasp the power of the gods.
As Sei left the 2nd Demonic King's throne room, the man scowled, "He's a threat. I don't know why, but the feeling I get from him it's... insanity. I'm sure about that. But if I can manage to tame that... " He stopped talking to himself before leaving the room.
5 Days Later
Sei had spent the entirety of the last 5 days circulating the Qi through his channels, regaining all the energy he had lost and raising his cultivation bottlecap slightly. Not only that, but he had started laying the foundation for the end goal of being in the Demonic Cult.
Some had come to collect him and led him to a large hall. All in all, there were around 1.2 million people inside. The entire room was covered in very smooth stone panels of around 1-meter squared each and the ceiling was held up by what looked like bone pillars. However, what had large enough bones to hold up a 70-meter ceiling was a mystery.
All the people in the hall looked powerful, but suddenly everyone fell to one knee. Everyone but 10 people fell, of course, including Sei. But they all fell to one knee anyway after they witnessed why everyone else fell.
The 9 Demonic Kings. They oozed power; their very presence brought the weak to their knees. One after another, they entered the hall, sitting in seats in order of power.
Furthest to the right was a demon straight from the pits of Hell. His Demonic Qi could be considered godly and endless. It was so rich and powerful, he couldn't help but spill it out.
He came from the continent of Kako. It is said that he crawled out of the deepest parts of hell and exited through the greatest volcano on the continent just to serve the Heavenly Demon Lord.
He was a greater demon, so the real reason why he came to Terra is a mystery. After all, in Hell, he would have been treated like a king there, but here he was just a servant. The 1st had crimson long hair with black streaks through it.
His eyes were an almost illuminating crimson. When he looked at people, they felt a chill run through their bones. He wore a long black cloak and fell onto his throne while resting his head on his fist. His name was Kai.
The one next to him was the Demon King that Sei had met. He was a human. But that just proved that anyone could become powerful through enough hard work. He didn't look as powerful as the rest, but anyone who used any Qi perception abilities could feel the almost godly purity of his Demonic Qi. It was almost as smooth as water. He was named Lar.
Sei had thought the 3rd Demonic King was something that had gone extinct a very long time ago. Dragonkin, he simply radiated a majestic aura. His Dragon Qi had fused with his Demonic Qi so his Qi was impossible to control.
If one had even looked at him wrong, they'd be crushed underfoot like an ant. The 3rd was a man not to be trifled with, even if one knew they were stronger. He had very dark blue eyes that if one stared into, one would feel as if they were in front of an ocean. He had an incredible gradient in his scales. However, not his entire body was covered in scales. The man's name was Rey.
The next Demon King was the 4th, a vampire lord. He too had mixed Qi, both a very thick Blood Qi and Demonic Qi. He was incredibly pale and exuded a heavy amount of murderous intent. He wore a black buttoned shirt with a fancy red waistcoat. On his bottom half, he wore plain black trousers, a black belt, and red leather shoes.
The man had slicked-back hair, an amazing athletic physique, and an extremely handsome face. Even men would have to agree that he was handsome. This vampire lord's name was Damian.
After Damian had sat down, the next Demonic Lord walked in, well, floated in. The 5th was an artificial wisp, a floating ball of Spiritual Qi. While it had no physical form, it could possess someone by attaching itself to someone's brain and triggering certain neuron receptors to move the body.
The 5th was considered an artificial wisp as it wasn't an actual ghost as it was actually just sentient Spiritual Qi. The wisp was named Alya.
The next one to enter the hall was the 6th Demonic King. With every step, he shook the entire hall. He stood at a gargantuan 10'3", weighing around 5 tonnes. The giant had a just as monstrous build. The 6th had several scars all around his body. He wore animal pelts instead of clothes, mainly consisting of 70-star magical beasts. The giant's name was Teros.
The 7th Demonic King was already in its seat before anyone had even noticed it enter. It was a shapeshifter, currently taking the form of a beastman. No one knew what it actually looked like, but all that they did know was that it could transform into anyone, but, weirdly enough, it couldn't transform into the Heavenly Demon Lord. The shapeshifter was known as Shadow.
The penultimate Demonic King was a dwarf. While the dwarf did only stand at 4'5", he was incredibly muscular for his body size. The dwarf also looked quite old, and believe me, he was. He created most, if not all, weapons for the demonic cult. He was an incredible blacksmith who could create amazingly powerful weapons.
The dwarf had a cotton shirt and a leather apron, and he wore canvas pants with several pockets. The dwarf decided against anything that blocked sparks from burning his skin as he believed it would affect the weapons he created. This could explain why he had an almost endless number of burn marks on his hands and face.
Lastly, the 9th Demonic King entered the hall and sat down in his seat. He was a hobgoblin, the evolved form of a goblin. While hobgoblins were usually thought to be one of the easier magical beasts to hunt down, this hobgoblin had advanced beyond human intelligence and had learned to cultivate.
He wore very formal clothing and had a clipboard with a brush in his hands, ready to assess the fresh batch of participants in the trials. The hobgoblin's name was Francis.
As they all looked at the participants, Francis said, "The Demonic Cult thanks you all for participating in the initiation test. I wish you all luck. The preliminaries will begin shortly."

Heavenly Demon Lord's Judgment Fingers-
Using qi and negative energy, the host can summon giant fingers from the sky to crush the enemy. As the host trains more in this technique, the host will be capable of summoning more fingers.
Hypnosis-
By using NE and QI to warp any creature's mind, the host can control any creature with intelligence.
Inspect-
By simply requesting the system, the host can gain knowledge of anything or anyone.
Night Vision
By infusing NE into the host's eyes, the host can see clear as day in the dark.
Qi Expulsion-
By compressing QI into a tiny ball and expelling it insanely quickly, the QI will repel anything and anyone in a 3-meter radius.
Seismic Pulse-
By expelling NE or QI into the ground, the host can get a mental map of a 100-meter radius. By expelling NE or QI into a person, the host can get a mental image of the person's physical and mental condition.
Strong Bones-
By cultivating the host's bones, 10% less damage is done to the host.

Telekinesis-
