Yae was holding the reign and guiding the horse.

Akio was bored now he went up and took a seat besides Yae and started talking with her chatting casually and sharing some funny stories of their childhood

Time passed quickly and it was evening already.

The Carriage stopped.

"Yae, I'll go and hunt for food first"

Akio nodded at Yae and went to hunt.

Yae was left alone at the camp .

She undid the horse from the carriage and brought it to the tree and pinned it there.

She brought out half a box of carrots from the carriage and left it near the horse so it could eat.

Yae then had nothing to do at the moment so she just started practicing her sword.

She was thinking of a reason why she would be carrying a sword .

A picture came into her mind It was a picture of a boy. The mysterious smile he always had .His face not much charming but still handsome which made him look more warm to the people around.

Then scenes after scenes passed through her mind .The time when they first met and played they were nothing more than strangers but then she saw him playing with her brother. She got jealous but then he took her hand and pull me out to play with him.

As times went by they started getting closer.

But One day Ayane came up to her and said that she was to be engaged to someone.

Yae was blanked at the moment but did not think much she was only 12 years old she thought she should follow what her parents said but in her mind a picture of the boy that played with her appear.

Unconciously she started to cry at the moment, She knew what engagement meant but she also knew that she has to listen to her parents. She had no power to voice it out.

The innocence of childhood .

Ayane told her that in a week's time the engagement ceremony will take place .

The mediator was fed and sent back to report of the acceptance and it was too late to deny the fact.

At the weeks time when the ceremony happened Yae was not so happy. entered the ceremonial room she did not see the groom's face and just sat down watching down to the floor.

After exchange wine and gifts the ceremony ended. When it ended a boy in black kimono came up to her and said

"Lets play together tommorow"

And left.

When Yae heard the voice she was silent and then looked up to see it was her childhood friend the boy who had been on her mind.

Yae bend down to hide her red eyes .

After some silent moment her brother came up to her and asked if she's okay.

But then Yae had bawled out her face full of tears and snots.

Jutaro was scared at that time.

The Kokonoe family did everything but could not stop her crying.

The Images passed by slowly and slowly

and she kept thinking what would happen if Akio was not there with her.

At that moment Yae unsheathed her sword and sliced at the air. The sword sliced the air and travelled to hit a bark of the tree the tree bark came off the tree and fell to the ground.

Yae had learned to imbue magic to the sword swings .

Yae was calm and composed.She sat at the ground looking up at the sky .

The evening moon shone in the sky .The moon light fell upon her feet a trinket of a drop of water fell down and landed on the grass as the grass leaned to dropped it off to the ground It was not rain but It was her tear.

She heard the grass rustling and rubbed her eyes to hide any signs that she had cried.

Yae had matured a lot in mentality while she's been travelling.

She turned around to hear the horse neighing at a small animal nearby who was carrying a carrot.

She seemed to understand what the horse wanted to say

' You theif, Give me back my carrot'

Yae laughed to herself and chased the small animal away with its stolen carrot.

Meat in storage does not rot as the time stops in that space so it's basically fresh.

Akio took in all the corpses of the monsters including snakes, bear and some plants monsters.

Akio while going back to camp picked up firewood in his hands and carried them. The wood were thick and stacked together. He also had the deer above. It was a one whole dear with a big gap in its back side of the head.

He reached the camp and saw Yae lying down and watching the sky.

Akio thought maybe she was tired from all the shaking in the carriage.

The roads were uneven so it was uncomfortable.

'I should let her rest and I'll do the cooking for now then'

Akio started his preparations to skin the deer and let out the blood to the ground. He was not the bit scared about wild animals coming near this place as he had already placed a big barrier which covers up to 600m It did eat up a lot of mana just to cover the barrier took to around 3000 mana per 10 Hours which is just cheap . Lucky he had super Regeneration of mana thnx to his Intelligence Stat which is unknown.

So the barrier is unlimited to guard but if someone damages it the cost repair also is high at around from 20- 600 mana depending on the damages caused to it.
