Crystal's POV

I got into my house and like every other day, dad wasn't home and Mrs Smith was busy in the kitchen.

I went directly to my room to escape all these thoughts for some time. I didn't had any capacity to deal with any of it now, I was very tired and I just wanted to forget everything. So, I opened Netflix on my laptop, even if I don't like watching movies at all, I started watching one, to keep my mind off of those disturbing thoughts.

After about two hours when the movie was over, I shut my laptop and lyed down on the bed to rest a bit but before I could have even thought of closing my eyes, I had this weird sensation that someone else was in my room, a sensation that I was quiet familiar with now, and I saw a certain pale girl standing in front of me, a very familiar one.

Not in my bedroom now!

"Crystal? You can...you can see me right now as well.. right?" she asked like she was unsure about it and looked very sad and lonely.

Ugh! No I can't do this, I made a promise to myself, I won't get in their business. I'll ignore them and pretend to be normal. Even if I knew her, she's not a human now and all of that implies to her as well. So, like I had promised myself, I didn't replied to her and continued my act of not being able to see or hear her and closed my eyes pretending to sleep.

"Please..se... Crystal-l! You are my only hope, don't do this to me, please!" I heard her sobbing.

Come on Aria! Don't blackmail me emotionally!

"I know you can hear me, please help me, Cris.. Please! "

"What do you want Aria? Don't forget, you broke my trust yesterday and hid the truth from me!" Do hell with even the thought of being normal for once, Crystal Morell!

"God! So, you can really see me! I'm so sorry Cris, but you have no idea how happy I was yesterday when you saw me, so I couldn't tell you the truth! I thought you'll get scared of me and run away." she reasoned herself.

"I used to do that, but now it's kinda the story of my life" I sat on my bed. "It's very weird but somehow all the spirits are able to find me, like there's some kind of magnet attached to me" I sighed.

"Um...maybe I know how they do, I'm not sure about it but I heard some things" she interrupted my thoughts.

"What? Really?" I was famous among ghosts. I mentally rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, it has something to do

with a mark that you have." she replied coming closer to me.

"What mark?"

"Nearly every spirit knows about it, a human girl with a crescent moon mark on the left side of her shoulder can see us, that's what I heard.. But I had no idea that the girl they were talking about is you Cris!" she said with a serious expression.

"That's my birth mark you are talking about and honestly I've absolutely no idea about why it's there or what it is" I sighed shaking my head, "let's just leave it, now tell me for what kind of help did you want me for?" I asked.

"I can't pass on to the other side! I have to do something before that and I won't be able to do that on my own. Please Cris, I need your help for it!"

"I can't understand anything! Tell me clearly, you have to be more specific!" I frowned in confusion.

"Do you know what happened to me? How did I die? Or anything related to my death?" she asked with desperate eyes!

"They say, you attempted suicide or was it a murder? Since your body was found with lots of cuts under the bridge." I felt very bad for her.

"No, it isn't the truth! I would never do that! I would never take my own life." She said looking lost and tears fell from her eyes.

"What had happened then?" and I cursed myself the moment I asked that, but I couldn't help it, I was curious.

She didn't say for a while and blankly stared at the wall beside me, " Mr White! That bastard, always used to touch me inappropriately, I'd wanted to complain about him but he had threatened me that he would frame me as the bad one there and would get me thrown out of the school. I was helpless! I couldn't have done anything to him so I thought I'll rather just keep my distance from him. Tuesday when after school I got to the parking, someone abducted me and took to some unknown place and there...there Crystal.. I-I wa"

"Aria you don't-"

"I was raped!. I cried and struggled, I cried and screamed for help but no one came Crystal. He was an animal, a sadist. He ripped my body up! He ripped my soul Up! I tried my best to get away but it was no use and finally I lost conscious. And since I was really injured and bruised, he probably thought I died, and threw me under the bridge so that no one could locate me. And guess who he was?" she stared into my eyes, and I visibly shivered, her eyes were hollow!

"The motherfucker White!" I gasped, I always knew he wasn't a good man, he always had his bad vibe around him but I never thought he would stoop so low.

"I'm so so sorry aria, you didn't deserve that! Hell No one deserves that" I said as a drop of tear escaped my eye, she went through so much.

"I need your help Crystal, I want him to suffer. If I can't kill him, he should at least be handed to the cops! I wasn't the only one, that monster is still out! I don't want a repeat of what happened to me." She sounded so desperate for revenge.

"That Bastard will burn in hell! I promise that!" for a split second of time, I completely lost my mind but a huge thunderclap got my attention and when I looked back at her, her face was blank, she looked horrified and frightened.

"Aria? Are you alright?"

"I've to go now, I don't have much time" she had a weird look on her face as she regained her composure.

"Why?" she was behaving very strange.

"He...he's after-r me now-w!" she was fluttering at every single word.

Who is after her now? Isn't she dead?

"What are you talking about?"

"Have you ever heard of grim-m reapers?" Her voice was filled with fear and it was confusing me, more than ever.

"What reaper? No... what's that now?" I asked with confusion clear in my voice.

" I don't know much about

them, but they collect spirits of death people and send them to hell or heaven according to their sins" she replied.

"So? You can ask them to give you some time, can't you?" I looked at her curiously.

"You don't understand Cris! My soul was assigned to Samael the 420 but as you see, I'm here so he couldn't collect me since I'm escaping him ever since and so-o.. So..." she looked terrified. "So, my spirit is now assigned to-o.. Cassie-l-ll, the f-f..first!" fear was evident in her voice, while she took his name.

"I don't understand, so what?"

Why is she so scared of him?

"You don't know anything about him, do you?" she had a serious expression on her face.

"Well, no!"

"He is the most dangerous, ruthless and vicious grim reaper. The first grim of all time, the most powerful soul reaper in this entire universe. He collects every kind of spirits, even the very mischief one's and ghouls in less than a day and he's known for his cold heart, never had he given any soul a mere change to stay on this earth to even look at their loved ones, never. Ever!"

"Don't worry too much Aria, I will help you" I tried to make her feel better even though I myself was very scared.

"You don't understand! He is very, very powerful and dangerous. He will find me at any cost, and Crystal trust me, he won't budge even if the God himself comes in his way to stop him. I've heard he punishes anyone who gets him angry very severely without having mercy, and from my recent deeds, I might be the next. He is the best example of someone's worst nightmare and honestly he wouldn't hesitate for a second before killing thousands of humans for completing his job... because that's who he is!" fear was evident in each and every word she spoke, it was evident in her eyes and her words and even on her face.

Every word she spoke brought only one thing to my mind and it was fear, fear and only fear! I would never want to meet him ever in my life and a part of me was praying even not after death. "I will be leaving now, I cannot stay at one place for a lot of time" she said and disappeared right in front of me.

After hearing every thing about what happened to her and then about this reaper, I was not in state of doing anything else. I was really very exhausted, mentally as well as emotionally again so l jumped inside my bed and closed my eyes to shut everything out.
