34 Undead Rise

After killing the beast, Ayaan placed his two skeletons inside his space ring. Then looked towards the corpse of the beats in disappointment.

"Alas, if its body wasn't huge, I would have turned it into an undead mount, it would look rather cool...sigh" Rebecca who was at the side heard his mumbling and rolled her eyes at him.

Afterwards, she thought of something and asked, "What about its size? Can't you just turn it into an undead?"

Ayaan heard her and shook his head before replying, "I can make it undead but I can't store it in my space ring, but my space ring doesn't have storage to store its huge body."

"Uhh…" Rebecca looked at him with her mouth wide open and couldn't speak her next word. Then, she looked at the colossal body of the beast and nodded in agreement.

Thereafter, one more idea came into her mind and asked Ayaan, "Can't you just make it undead and use it in this world? However, release it when we go back to Aemmugar."

Immediately, Ayaan's eyes started to shine, 'Yes, why didn't he think about it' he thought inside his head.

Thereupon, he walked towards the humongous body of the beast and looked towards it with a solemn expression.

Subsequently, Ayaan took out a dagger from his space ring, it was just an ordinary dagger for skinning beasts. Simultaneously, he started to chant the spell. "Undead Rise" wasn't an ordinary spell; when it cast by a caster, it would have a huge chance of failure. Therefore, it needed the full concentration of the caster.

Anyways, after completing the chant, Ayaan cut his hand with the dagger and crimson blood splatter on the body of the beast.

Mysteriously, that crimson colour started to spread all over the body of the beast. In just a short period of two minutes, the whole body of the beast became drowned in the red blood.

"Rise!"

The deafening sound escaped from his mouth, even Ayaan himself became shocked when he heard this loud sound.

'What the hell? I didn't speak that loudly,' Ayaan thought. He thought maybe it was the effect of the spell so he didn't pay much attention to it.

Nonetheless, he still turned his gaze towards the body of the beast and waited for it to react in anticipation. However, two minutes passed but there was no sign of the beast rising.

'Did I fail?' A sudden thought.

As he thought his spell failed, the body of the beast moved. Ayaan looked at the corpse excitedly, which Again moved.

However, just as he thought his spell was successful, the corpse started to shrink. Ayaan looked towards the huge body of the beast in confusion.

'What's happening here?' Ayaan thought.

Nonetheless, the body of the beast continued to shrink; it appeared as all the bones and ribs of the beast were disappearing from the inside.

In just a matter of a few minutes, the epidermis of the beast was the only thing which remained visible, there wasn't a single part of the beast left behind except a thick hide.

Ayaan looked at the beast hide in dismay mixed with embarrassment. Although it was his first time trying this spell, he had the confidence that he would not fail. Previously, he had learnt quite a few spells and never failed to cast them in his first try.

At the side, Rebecca was standing and saw what happened. Therefore, she came by his side and said, "It's alright, it was your first time trying it, you can practice your spells slowly."

Although disappointed by his failure, Ayaan didn't feel discouraged from this little failure. He nodded towards Rebecca before speaking, "Let's go."

Afterwards, the duo started their journey again. Ayaan came to this blazing plane because he wanted to train Rebecca. Therefore, he helped her as much as possible. Moreover, fighting and practising her fire magic in this environment, Rebecca was able to advance by leaps and bounds.

After travelling for a whole day both of them came in front of the volcano. The volcano was releasing lava continuously, which had created a vast lava pool around the volcano.

Ayaan felt the searing heat coming from it. However, Rebecca was acting as if lava was a breeze of spring for her. She walked towards it and stood at the edge of the pool. After contemplating for some time, she jumped into the lava.

"Rebecca!"

Ayaan, who was standing not far away from her felt as if his breath stops the place and as if he was about to jump in the lava, Rebecca poked her head out from the lava and said with a cute face, "I am alright."

"What the hell!? At least tell me before doing this type of crazy stunts!" Ayaan said with an agitated expression.

Rebecca looked at him with a smiling face and asked, "Were you worried about me?"

"Of course, I was worried about you! You are the only one in this world I have. If something were to happen to you, I would never be able to forgive myself." Only now did Rebecca realise how worried she made him and felt sorry for this.

"I am sorry," Rebecca said with a weak voice. However, after seeing her cute expression, Ayaan could only sigh in his heart.

"Why did you jump in the lava?" Ayaan asked in confusion.

"I felt a vast amount of fire-element in this lava; that's why I thought about checking inside it," Rebecca replied excitedly.

Ayaan looked at her in surprise, and asked seriously, "Did you find anything?"

"Hehe, let me show you something." She chuckled and again dived in the lava. After waiting for a few seconds, Rebecca came out from the lava with a "Splash!" sound.

"See, what did I find?" Rebecca excitedly showed her left hand to the Ayaan, in which she was holding a flower, which was looking like a lotus. Moreover, this lotus was of the same colour as fire.

Ayaan looked at this unusual looking lotus and focused his gaze on it to see about the lotus.

Name: flame lotus

Rank: Sky

Use: If a fire mage could refine this lotus, his/her understanding of the fire element would increase tremendously.

Value: 400 credits

The moment Ayaan looked at the states of the flower, his eyes started to shine. He still remembered the time when he found a treasure with Birdy. Later, he exchanged that treasure with the system for 1000 credits. And that's why he was able to buy the death rune at that time.

However, after that single encounter, he never found a treasure which he could exchange with the system. Maybe, it was because he never encountered any decent treasure after that single time. Therefore, when he saw the rank and value of the flower, his expression became excited.

Previously, no herb showed the option of the value; that's why he concluded that only certain types of treasures could be exchanged by the magic library or treasure of a certain rank.

Nonetheless, Rebecca passed the flower to Ayaan and spoke, "I want to stay in this pool for some time, I think it will benefit me greatly in understanding the fire element."

Without much thinking, Ayaan nodded, and Rebecca again divided inside the lava pool.

After taking the flower in his hand, he started to think, 'If I give this flower to Rebecca it will greatly help her. However, after exchanging with the system, I will get 400 credits — with those credits, we can travel to the minor planes twenty times, not a bad deal, huh.'

The value of teleportation of a single person to the minor plane was 10 credits; therefore, with 400 credits both of them could go to any plane twenty times. However, if he gave that treasure to Rebecca, so she could increase her understanding of the fire-element, that would be the dumbest decision he had ever made.

Not wasting any more time, Ayaan exchanged the lotus without hesitation.

Immediately, four hundred more credits appeared in his status window.

After spending his credits, Ayaan had left only this much credits. Although most of his credits were spent in buying the magic formula for Rebecca. Later, he also purchased a few spells for her and they weren't cheap either.

Finally, Ayaan's gaze fell on the protection time. Only twenty days left for protection time to be over. After that, he had to be more cautious when travelling between the world or he would die without even realising himself how he died.

"Splash!"

As he was deep in thought, a splash of water resounded and Rebecca poked her head out from the pool and said with an excited face, "There's something else inside this pool and it looks really amazing!"
