11 Phoenix Princess?

The whole surrounding started to shake from the pressure released by the red-haired man. All the servants were on their knees, and no one dared to lift his head. The furious expression can be seen on the face of the man.

After venting his anger for some time, he calmed down before murmuring, "How could be there someone powerful enough to kill my clone at that barren land? I have to get the legacy of the greatest demon at all cost, which is hidden somewhere at that place." 

He walked out of his room and went towards the throne-room.

He called his subordinate and ordered with an imposing manner, "Call the Oriel Gibbs."

"Ye-yes, Lord," the servant replied with a shivering voice and with a lowered head, he walked out of the throne room.

Not long after the servant left, a man arrived in the throne room. He had eyes like an eagle, his nose was sharp, and he was looking up with a proud expression, but when he reached in front of the man on the throne, he lowered his head very respectfully before speaking, "Master, what order you have for this disciple of yours." 

The king looked at the man with a pleasant smile before saying, "Good, you are one of my newest disciples, and I still didn't give you any mission to complete. Today, I called you because there is a mission for you to complete. Do you have any objection?"

When the man heard the last word, he shivered and hurriedly replied, "Master, I have no problem with any mission you want me to complete."  

The man nodded his head after hearing the reply of his disciple and told him the details about everything. The man left the room after getting his mission, leaving only a man on a throne in deep thoughts.

As he was lost in something, a servant called out from outside, "My Lord, the prime minister asking for an audience."

The eyes of the man instantly lit up when he heard the name of the prime minister and ordered, "Go, immediately let him come."

After one half a minute of wait, the man entered the throne room with an imposing look, but after coming in front of the king, he also lowered his head. The king didn't waste his time, he asked eagerly without wasting his time," Did you find the clue about the phoenix princess? Do you know where she went?" 

The prime minister knelt before saying, "I am sorry my king, I tried to track her down, but she disappeared without leaving a trace."

A disappointed expression appeared on his face when he heard the prime minister and replied, "Don't worry about it; you tried your best. You can leave now."

Anyone can see that the man was furious at this time, but he controlled himself from taking the life of this stupid prime minister. He had a bad temper, but he wasn't crazy. He can't kill his prime minister whenever he wants. On the contrary, if there was any low-class servant in the place of the prime minister; he would die a horrible death.

It's been two days since the fight with the blackhead. Ayaan's small body was lying on the soft bed of Rebecca. He opened his eyes and looked around to find no one in the room.

"You are awake?" the birdy asked him with a concerned voice.

"What was that thing?" he didn't waste his time to reply, but instead, he asked the question which was bothering him the most.

"Umm… are you talking about that blackhead? He was just the clone of someone." Birdy answered vaguely.

Ayaan thought for some time before asking another question, "Why was he killing innocent people? What can he gain by killing all those people like butchering animals?"

"Oh, he was just devouring the souls of those peoples. As for why he dissected their bodies, I don't know. It might be pleasurable for him." She replied casually.

He was disgusted by this man who takes pleasure in dissecting the bodies of other peoples. He thought about something before asking, "Umm… so, why was he devouring the souls of those people?"

Birdy fell silent for sometime before replying, "According to me, the real body of that clone was very far. So, for maintaining the energy inside him, he started to devour the soul and magic power from others.

Ayaan nodded in understanding before asking the most critical question in his mind," How was I able to survive?"

Birdy fell silent for a long time before replying, "Before lord died, he merged his 'will' with the system."

When Birdy reached here, he stopped and didn't continue.

Ayaan's eyes widened in shock when he heard Birdy. He immediately asked, "You are saying the greatest demon saved me? Fucking hell!"

"You are his successor. How could he let someone kill you that easily." Birdy replied sarcastically then continued, "but don't rejoice too much; it was only one-time help if you slack just like you always do, it won't take lord to change his successor ."

Ayaan only rolled his eyes at this little bird,' Does she takes me as a stupid? Is it that easy to find a successor? If it was, then why didn't you find him for such a long time? Hmph!'

Birdy, who was capable of hearing his thoughts, felt embarrassed when she listened to his thoughts and didn't reply.

'Creak~'

The door of the room slowly opened, and Rebecca entered. When she saw the awakened dog in the room, she immediately hugged his small body excitedly before saying, "You have awoken Whity!!"

She tightly hugged his small body between her twin peaks, and he struggled to free himself. 'does this crazy girl want to kill me by suffocating' he thought while still trying to take a deep breath. 

When she realised he couldn't breathe in her tight hug, she instantly apologised in a cute voice, "Sorry, Whity, I was thrilled when I saw you awake."   

'What the fuck with this Whity thing? Did she give me this stupid name?' he thought and didn't know if he should laugh or cry.  

After playing with Ayaan, she said, "Now, you are awake; let's go for another training." 

'This crazy battle maniac, no wonder her spells are that powerful and her control over them is this good.' He murmured in his head while Rebecca was already outside her room, holding his small body at her chest.

This time she didn't go to inform the city lord. When she walked out of place, she saw a familiar face, Suzi.

When Rebecca turned towards her, Suzi also smiled towards her before speaking smilingly towards her, "Oh, Rebecca, I was going to meet you, but I think you are already going somewhere. Are you going for a hunt? Can you take me as well?" 

Rebecca looked at her with a strange gaze. Everyone in the 'sun city' knows Suzi-the daughter of Errol, who was pampered from childhood. She never bothered to do a thing ever before, but she already asked her to go for a hunt a few times back. Why does she want to go for a hunt with her? She thought.

"Sorry, Suzi, I am not going for a hunt but to train. So, I could not take you with me." As she finished, she walked away from Suzi without hearing her reply.

When she saw how Rebecca ignored her, she became red from anger and embarrassment. A furious expression appeared on her face before murmuring, "Training? Hmph, I will make you pay for all the humiliation I faced because of you."

After that, she also didn't stay there any longer and walked away. Her father had warned her not to offend Rebecca, but how could she forget all the humiliation; she had to face because of Rebecca.

Before Rebecca came to the city, she was everything here, no one dared to disobey her, but when Rebecca arrived in the town, her influence started to disappear. The jealousy consumed her mind and thinking capacity.

After walking for five minutes, she arrived in a barren place. Two men were standing there with a well-built body.  She came in front of those two men before speaking, "You know, what you need to do?"

Both men nodded, she threw two pouches towards them and said, "There are twenty silver in both pouches with this money, you can live your lives without doing any work but remember if you were unable to complete the task, your ending wouldn't be pleasurable."

"Don't worry; everyone knows that we never failed our missions, and this time also won't be any different."  One of the men said proudly, and another nodded to show his support.

Suzi looked at them before saying, "Go, and don't even think about coming back before completing the task."

Without waiting any longer, both of the men disappeared from the place, leaving only Suzi, who had a cruel smile plastered all over her face. It's not their fault for being this confident. It's just that no one spoke a word about Rebecca after the meeting, due to her fear.
