A Good Stretch

"What the hell happened here?!"

The Lotus Fairy Master surveyed the damage caused by Bing Xue's ice spear.

Sheng Tian stepped forward, "The 3 of us had a little spar since there wasn't much to do"

She sighed and massaged her temples, "I know that young people can be impatient and energetic at times, but you could have fought at the arena, that place was meant to be destroyed. Anyways, who won?"

Both Xiao Hua and Bing Xue blushed when she asked who had won. They both knew that winning against a monster like Sheng Tian is a pipe dream unless they come across a fortuitous encounter.

Xiao Hua hesitantly spoke, "This... Well, we both couldn't beat him. And Elder Sis could only create a small cut on his hand that soon healed"

"What? Only a small cut?"

The Lotus Fairy Master turned to look at Sheng Tian and handed him the portrait, "It seems that I've underestimated your prowess"

Sheng Tian didn't comment and instead inspected the portrait. It depicted a front and back profile of a woman with light purple skin wearing a revealing skin tight black dress.

A few small horns protruded from her head and other areas of her body. Her revealed back exposed 2 bat-like wings that ended in sharp points. Lastly, her weapon of choice seemed to be a thorny whip which looked more like a spine to Sheng Tian.

Overall, this seemed like the perfect depiction of a devilish beauty.

"It seems like this person isn't a demon worshiper, but worships another kind of entity instead. I think-"

Swish!

Whoosh!

A sword passed by Sheng Tian in an attempt to decapitate him. He jumped back with swift movements and put away the portrait.

The one who had attacked him was none other than the Lotus Fairy Master. She held a thin sword decorated with inlaid jades and her green dress and hair billowed.

Sheng Tian frowned slightly as he felt a bit threatened by her aura, "What is the reason for this?"

She smirked, "I want to see just how powerful you are to be able to easily defeat my best disciples. Plus, it's been a while since I felt young and alive, so let me take a good stretch~"

Sheng Tian smiled and let his fighting intent go wild. He readied himself and fully transformed both arms.

Seeing the atmosphere getting heated, Bing Xue nudged Xiao Hua and they both flew away to a safe distance.

Weng!

Sheng Tian's aura clashed with the Lotus Fairy Master's aura. Without the curse inhibiting her focus, the Lotus Fairy Master was actually able to stand on par with Sheng Tian in terms of aura.

Sheng Tian raised his draconic arms and dashed forward with immense speed and power. The Lotus Fairy Master responded with a sweep of her sword, sending a blade of wood qi at Sheng Tian.

Not wanting to back down, Sheng Tian didn't stop and smashed his fist into the blade.

Bang!

The blade shattered and Sheng Tian tried to close the distance even more. However, the shattered pieces of the wood qi blade sprouted into thick trees which proceeded to form a cocoon around Sheng Tian.

Bang! Bang!

He instinctively punched the wood walls, only to find that he could only make small dents and cracks before they fully healed.

Outside, the Lotus Fairy Master made a simple hand seal with her free hand, "Constrict!"

The mass of wood then started to shrink, with the occasional booms happening more frequently. The Lotus Fairy Master smiled as if victory was within her grasp until...

Swish! Shua!

2 lines, one vertical, one horizontal, appeared on the surface of the wood cocoon.

Bang!

The cocoon exploded to reveal Sheng Tian who had reverted his arms back to normal and is now holding a sword. His right foot was smoking slightly, as he had used it to break through the wood.

"That was an interesting technique, though it is hardly enough to contain me"

She smiled, "What arrogance, today I'll help you curb it so you don't offend as much people in the future"

"I'd like to see you try!"

Whoosh!

This time, they both dashed forward for close combat. In the sky, both Xiao Hua and Bing Xue wore worried expressions on their faces, as they themselves had experienced Sheng Tian's physical strength on multiple occasions.

Clang!

The 2 locked swords with each other, and Sheng Tian very easily overpowered his opponent. Not relenting, the Lotus Fairy Master went in for a second clash.

Swish!

Just as Sheng Tian was about to push her away just like the first time, the Lotus Fairy Master struck Sheng Tian's shin, disturbing his balance.

He lost his footing and was sent flying backwards, giving her a chance to strike.

Clang!

"Ugh!"

The Lotus Fairy Master's sword cut through Sheng Tian's robe, revealing golden scales. Due to insufficient strength, she wasn't able to cut through the scales and could only send sparks flying.

Sheng Tian took advantage of the strike to propel himself backwards to a safe distance. He placed a hand on the area of the robe that was cut.

"No wonder your disciples have a habit of destroying clothing, they got it from you"

Xiao Hua blushed slightly while Bing Xue was expressionless. Meanwhile, the Lotus Fairy Master was not provoked by Sheng Tian in the slightest.

She disappeared from Sheng Tian's field of view the next moment.

"Soulspirit Sword Curtain!"

A defensive barrier formed around Sheng Tian as he spread out his spiritual sense. However, he couldn't sense the Lotus Fairy Master at all.

"This state is called 'One With Nature' if you were curious"

A sword descended right in front of Sheng Tian. Despite being able to see it, he knew that he could not dodge it.

"Cough!"

Blood flew everywhere as Sheng Tian was surprisingly cut. A long diagonal cut appeared on his chest with wood qi preventing it from healing.

The Lotus Fairy Master finally appeared. She had simply walked past his defenses and struck at an average speed, but Sheng Tian couldn't even react.

Even now, he felt that her figure was blurry and nonexistent, as if she was truly, one with nature.
