The boy rolled his eyeballs. "And do you see a problem with it?" he replied as he walked past Sparky. "Well, I thought the top dude would be someone tall and smart, probably wearing a pair of rectangular glasses while carrying a pile of books! Heh~ I never thought it would be someone so tiny! " said Sparky with an innocent face.

"Please mind your words here. Firstly, I am not tiny. Say that one more time and I'm sure you won't be out of here in one piece. My name is Shiro," said Shiro with an annoyed face.

"Ah well see you!" exclaimed Sparky as he left the room, waving his hand towards the Shiro. Shiro shook his head before heading over to veronica. Sparky took a last peek before closing the door behind him, seemingly nervous. Was it about how the operation will turn out? His palms were sweaty and his heart were beating like a runaway horse. He wondered what this feeling was but instead of craving for answers like he usually does, he ignored it.

He walked around in circles. At time to time, he would look back at the door of the room. "Sparky chill, she's not gonna run away. Nothing is gonna go wrong since Veronica and Shiro are both highly skilled. Time for lunch!" said Ariton, slightly confused about Sparky's action.

They went towards the cafeteria to grab some food. "Hey Scar, you think she will be fine? What if something actually goes wrong?" asked Sparky. "Chill dude, Ariton already said to believe in Veronica and the kid right? Also, what are you getting so worked up for? Wait. Don't tell me you had fallen for her beauty!" said Sparky in a shock. "OF COURSE NOT! W-WHAT ARE YOU SAYING? IM JUST CONCERNED ABOUT HER THAT WAS ALL!" said Sparky towards Scar with and embarrassed face before running off.

"Heh~Let's see about that Spark," mumbled Scar with a smirk.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

Time began flying by and soon enough they got a call from Veronica, telling them to head back towards the room. "Yep everything went as we thought it would! Her systems are all back into function as well. Though she might need to come to me regularly for checkups as the doctors said a few hours ago about the prosthetics in her body. Also, she would be acting like a regular human again now that we recoded her. Her own thoughts and feelings should be back now as well. "Ah yes, Sparky come over," said Veronica.

As Sparky approached her, she went close towards his ears and whispered "I have added a function in her system in case she went berserk. Just say ....." "ah... umm.... ok" replied Sparky as his face became slightly red. As they were talking, Mae began opening her eyes and struggled to sit up. She touched her face with her palm and shook her head a little, trying to clear the fogginess in her eyes. After a few seconds she brought her head up and looked around, surprised the amount of people she saw beside her.

"Hey! Are you ok?""How are you feeling??""Hey!"said a lot of people at once.

"S-sorry could all of leave for a moment? I want some time alone," said Mae. Her voice was shaky. They all looked at each other and agreed to leave. "At least she is fine now, let's leave her be for now," said Scar. Sparky looked at her and followed behind everyone else. As they were all exiting, Veronica felt a pull at the edge of her shirt. She saw Mae's hand holding onto her shirt.

"Sorry I just remembered I have a few checkup to do on her. I'll come out once its over. Shiro would you mind helping me?" said Veronica. "Ah sure," replied Shiro as he closed the door in front of him.

"I've been searching for you all over you know? Where have you been all these years?" questioned Veronica with a deep sigh. There was silence in the room. "Sorry... I don't remember much either since I woke up just now," said Mae. "The last thing I remembered was when I was knocked out by the street one day. I-" continued Mae before she start holding her head. "Mae..." Veronica's eyes softened as she saw Mae in this state. "Take a rest first and if you do remember anything, tell me right away," said Veronica as she left the room. "mmm..." replied Mae as she looked out of the window.

"I will find out whoever had the guts to this to her," mumbled Veronica with a stern face. Shiro stood leaning against the wall and heaved a sigh of annoyance.

"HC MEMBERS PLEASE HEAD TOWARDS THE MISSION LOBBY IMMEDIATELY!" said the broadcaster. Scar, Ariton and Sparky went towards the lobby as quick as possible to hear about the situation. There, Ariton went up towards a machine which projected about the current mission.

It states, "Location: Aronora Depths, located in the South-East of the Azalia Kingdom. A shadow of a long entity has appeared there. Objective: Find out what the entity is and be sure to slay it down if necessary."After looking at the mission board, they took their weapons and went towards the floating platform which transported them towards the South-East border. In a blink of an eye, they were standing on the high walls of the border.

"Wow! You can see the whole kingdom with this view! exclaimed Sparky. "You can look all you want after we had completed our mission so get over here," said Ariton.

Ariton opened up a projection of the area using the bracelet which told them about the location. The three of them followed it and eventually arrived at huge lake with a waterfall. "This place is huge! How'd they expect us to search for that creature in this area?" said Sparky. As he finished that phrase, a shadow appeared covering him from above. "Um... what is that..?" he continued.
