10 Chapter 9

That man how dare he, just because he decided to try and apologize telling me how he has been looking for me for the past 4 years doesn't mean I will just accept it. He thinks that highly of himself.

*flashback of what happened after leaving*

I walked out of the hall furious, he was lucky I did not lash out and insulted him but held my tongue because his parents were present with us. The car was out front waiting for us and I was thankful that a Kyle was asleep if he saw me like these questions after questions would be asked and I was in no mood of talking.

"Joe let's leave" I immediately told him as I was very sure that I wanted to get out of that place.

"But ma'am sir has not yet arrived" I got more angry at Joe and shouted out at him, which I had no intention of.

"Do I look like I fucking care, he can take a cab if he plans on coming home. For now, I just want to leave this place and if I were you I would start the damn car and drive"

I sighed before realizing my mistake and I apologized to him, I was frustrated and angry I needed to let it all out and unintentionally he was the only person present at the moment.

Just when the engines roared and came to life, the right- side car door opened revealing Sebastian who got in and immediately Joe drove off.

"Hey Kathy, don't you honestly think that Kyle had to finally meet his father and for you two to have a talk and settle this feud between the two of you once and for all" Seb spoke

"Then what Seb, hug it all out like nothing ever happened and let him back in my life, our life after all he did, never" I answered while motioning between Kyle and me

"But Kath he is his father and he has rights"

"Wait whose side are you on? You saw how broken I was when I looked at Kyle every fucking day when he grew up without a father, I tried to be both parents even though I knew it was never enough. That man you say 'has rights' abandoned me when I told him, he insulted me, called me names and called my child a bastard and the worst thing was when he told me to have a fucking abortion, kill my own child, so no Seb I won't let him come near any of us especially Kyle he lost all rights the day he denied him"

I said looking at Kyle while I stroke his hair; at least he was sleeping peacefully. The moment that man asked us to take off our masks I knew everything was fucked up. If he had not asked us to do that, none of them would have known it was me and everything would be as it was.

"Kathy, I'm not on anyone's side. I just want the little boy to have his father because I know he also wonders why he doesn't have one while other kids do and yes I know he hasn't asked you yet but I know he wants to, but how to maybe the challenge"

"Look Seb I'm holding back from shouting at you because I don't want to say anything that may hurt you nor wake him and let him see how angry I am, so just shut it and let this end here"

I asked hoping he would shut up; he nodded and didn't speak afterward until we arrived home. I took Kyle to my room and changed both of us. I woke him and went downstairs to eat our dinner then went to bed.

So here I am the next day sitting outside my room at the balcony stuck with my thoughts, cursing the day I ever met Earl and the day I went to his office to inform him I was pregnant but if I hadn't done that I wouldn't have met father and Seb, dammit why did he have to useful and involved.

I honestly wanted to scream and cry but I vowed the day Kyle turned 1 and I cried again because his father rejected him, that I would not be letting my tears fall because of him ever again and today I was not going to break that vow.

"Hey sweetheart I'm back"

I turned towards the voice and there stood father I went to him and hugged him, right now I am relieved at least I can talk to him and get his advice, I lead him back inside the room and we sat on the bed.

"Wow you're back early and why is that so if I may ask?"

"Well, the Chinese investors just wanted to see with whom they were signing the deal with just to make sure the project was in capable hands so, after all the little talks with them, I flew back here. I also remembered that I had to punish a certain someone for calling me annoying and stupid. How was the event?"

I sighed and looked back at him and by my facial expression I guess he noticed it didn't end well

"Hmmm, that bad?"

"Yeah, Seb and I had to take off our masks. I thought with the mask on I would just go and leave without him finding but nope didn't work and oh they had to put me in an outfit that made everyone notice me,"

I turned towards him with a pout to which he just smiled before speaking up,

"Well, removing the mask I do understand since no one knew you and your brother, for your outfit I had no idea about that and about Earl you do remember I told you that you will have to face him one day. As much as you don't want to see him you two have a son together who by now might be wondering why he doesn't have a father. You will have to face everything, especially letting the little guy know about his father."

I looked up at father and his words did sink in as I remember Seb did say Kyle may want to know why his father is not around, asking may be the challenge. Now I do understand what I have to do, first would be to talk to Kyle then either wait or go find Earl myself I will think about it.

"Thanks, dad I needed that or else I would run mad," I said to him to which he laughed before turning to me

"Why didn't Seb help?"

I scoffed "He was useless he made me no scratch that, forced me to talk to him, he even asked Earl's mother to hold Kyle while we were asked to the stage."

Father just laughed and shook his head, "Speaking of which where is he? I have seen neither Seb nor Kyle "

"He took Kyle out for ice cream as 'I was too moody and looked like I was on my period so I needed to be on a time out and cool off ' as he puts it"

"I have to say you were moody and one would have thought you were either pregnant or on your period"

"DAD!!! How dare you?" He just shrugged, this man

Just then we heard laughter in the hallway, it grew louder and louder when it was near my room, immediately the door to my room flew open and in walked my son and his stupid uncle.

"Grandpa, your back" Kyle ran towards him and hugged him, at the corner of my eye I saw Seb backing away towards the door ready to run, I spoke before he even got the chance.

"Dad, Seb's planning to escape"

"No I'm not" he sent a glare my way after speaking

"Boy, don't you even dare move from that spot bef-"

Father never got to complete his sentence because by the time he got to stand from the bed Seb was already out the door running.

"Seb stop where you are" Kyle and I followed them enjoying the show in front of us.

"Dad I'm sorry. I swear it was a slip of the tongue I didn't mean to call you stupid or annoying"

Seb was now in the living room shielding himself behind the couch, father stood in front of him while Kyle and I sat on the last two steps of the staircase eating the ice cream he had in his hands. His shouting brought out the house helps the chef and Joe who like us just watched them amused.

"Did you forget you called me old too? Or you just chose to ignore that," father asked him

"I did not forget that as it was and is still true, you are old"

Stupid Seb, so stupid, why would you add salt to the injury, you're dead. My thought was cut short when I heard him scream,

"What the... are you trying to kill me, what kind of a father are you"

Just then I noticed the broken vase next to him and it hit me that father tried to hit him with it, he was lucky he dogged it on time.

"Dammit, father you could have ruined my beautiful face. Evil man"

We then heard laughter and I thought it was either the maids but when I turned to Seb and father they were suddenly tired, all the maids gone. I looked to where they were staring and at the door stood Earl his friends and father well....
