I thought you were my knight

until I was betrayed

pain and hurt left to feel

2 yrs later...

It was Kathleen's birthday finally she was turning 20, she had no friends so no celebration for her but hey she was not complaining she did have a job to head to, one thing she hated from people is them showing how sorry they felt for her when they found out that she lost her parents in a car accident when she was only a year old, Kathleen never complained because she believed that God had something better planned for her even though she had to go through a lot, they should just stop but I know it is human nature and you can't control what they see and feel, so one just ignores them.

I got ready and headed to work where I changed to the restaurant's uniform if I wanted I would have a better job but learning to take care of yourself from the age of 16 with no money to further your education can be tough.

I always wanted to be a business woman-run my company and be able to live a good life and also help all those orphans at orphanages who have been through what I went through, I would be happy if I was able to put a smile on someone's face and to know that I am the one behind it.

I was serving a couple of men who just walked in and they were good looking but I did not have time for a man in my life I needed to survive.

When Marco 'Earl' saw her he found her beauty so intriguing with no make-up on her face just her natural look he felt something inside him but he ignored it, for him love was not something he wanted to feel yet since he never knew about it but he just knew that he had to have her and that too in his bed.

He decided to talk to her and try asking her out but she just gave him the cold shoulder and left to go and serve other customers.

Earl couldn't believe it as it was the first time a woman has ever rejected him, all women just fell for him even without talking to them, he was surprised but as we know there is always a first time for everything.

He turned to his best friends who were already staring at him laughing their asses

"Ouch, bet you were not expecting that man" Ty the first one to speak and was the one who enjoyed this much

"Hey Ty, you know our boy here is used to women trying to get his attention, not the other way round" Ethan spoke next

Honestly, while the spoke I was analyzing the situation trying to understand what the problem was and they were not helping at all

"No man, there's always the proverb; never judge a book by its cover so it's obvious the girl was not interested in our boy here" and last we have Luke

I know I haven't introduced you to my friends first we have Tyson short for Ty he is the not so sensible one in the group next Ethan the craziest of us all and last Luke the only member who knows how to analyze situations well before taking actions, in short, he is the most sensible in the group and he doesn't speak much.

"Look at him wondering what he did wrong,"

He was right I was wondering what I did wrong, no woman ever said no me, heck I never had to ask them out.

As his friends mocked him he had enough of it and he decided to make a bet with his friends an idea that would later bite him back but he already had made his choice there was no going back again.

"Hey guys I have had enough, how about we make a bet," I asked them

"Huh what bet"

"Why?"

"Bet?"

They all spoke at once and started rumbling profanities.

"Yes, a bet I will try to pursue her and lure her to bed and have sex with her, no love nor affection, I will not be falling for her"

They just stared at me before they all began speaking again

"He's gone mad"

"Are you okay"

"You will regret this"

They were all against this and still not okay with the idea but I managed to convince them except Luke who was against the idea.

"Hey man why you against all this" I decided to ask him

"I am just trying to avert a disaster that will be coming your way remember never take things for granted"

Now, what is he talking about it's not like I want to fall in love with the girl, I'm just after one thing and to show them that no one says no to a White.

"Listen, Earl, your name, fame, or having a woman ignore you doesn't mean that you have to do something stupid like this, I am warning you it will come back and bite you, that girl has feelings too"

"Why do you care again?"

Honestly, I wanted to know what was wrong with this guy it's not like we don't sleep with these sluts and dump them the next day.

"Earl just like how she did not show interest in you why would she be like those 'sluts' as you say"

"I didn't say sluts you did"

"I know, but you were thinking it"

Is he a mind reader now?

"You don't believe me, then I will prove it to you with what I want to do and we shall see who is right and who is wrong" dammit I almost shouted at him, he was getting on my last nerve.

"Look I don't care whether you prove your theory or not but remember what I just said to you before, you will come to regret this and when the time comes, I warned you, and being your best friend when you need me I will still help but as for this I do not agree"

Just like that, he left but some part of me wanted to listen to him but another part wanted me to ignore him.
