1 Regret

In a dark dilapidated room, a man stared at a woman whom was cowering in a corner.

The man was confused on how they became like this on how their love became like this "AJ... I'm sorry… for everything"

The woman named AJ lifted her head up from her knees and stared into the man's eyes "Did you ever love me, Micheal? Did you? Answer me Yes or No?"

Micheal stared back into her eyes and with overflowing emotion, he stated "AJ I loved and still love you and I would give my very life for you"

AJ finally stood up from the ground and with a limp, she walked towards Micheal.

Micheal looked at her and regretted the decision of ever leaving her to satisfy his father's vanity. He regretted tremendously. He watched the women he loved get destroyed, abused, and become suicidal. Yes, he himself was the guilty party who made her become this monster even she herself hated. Micheal stared at the woman who was in front of him, he could only see one emotion, an emotion called hate. AJ asked him again "Yes or No, Micheal?.

Micheal stared at her for a couple of seconds but AJ already found her answer.

She slapped him across his face "Micheal you hesitated, you don't love me. You never did, all you loved was my appearance". She slowly moved her eyes from his face and stared at his hand. He was wearing a ring. A wedding ring. Aj looked at the man in front of her and a disgusted expression formed upon her face "Micheal your wife, I wonder how she would feel if she ever finds out about our meeting."

Micheal looked down and stared at his ring. He felt disgusted and ashamed yet he still replied "Marissa wouldn't care, it was a political marriage anyways" He stared into Aj's eyes "I never touched her or lusted for her Aj. I love you". Aj looked at Micheal "Are you sure Marrisa woundn't care". Micheal put on a perplexed expression "What do you mean?". Aj stared at the man in front of her and smirked in scorn "A woman's intuition is always right Micheal, oh and Micheal I will never be your mistress nor will I be a homewrecker". With those words, Aj limped away from him. Micheal stood at his spot until it dawned upon him on what she said. He thought to himself 'I regret it. I never wanted you to be my mistress Aj. I just wanted you to forgive me for everything'. With those thoughts, he left but as he was heading to his car he was shot. He was dying and he knew it, looking up at the sky he truly regretted listening to his father. Yes, he has daddy issues. He just wanted to be acknowledged by his father, but everything comes with a price and his price was abandoning the girl he loved. He prayed to whatever high being that existed to let his unloved wife, Marrisa, and Aj live in peace and harmony. He died on Sep. 8 2037 at the age of 45.

During his funeral Micheal's wife, Marissa, was in a state of shock. It felt unreal. She loved him ever since they were kids. She knew he had someone other than her in his heart, but she never hated her. Her love was only one-sided and it would never get the chance to bloom. She stared at his coffin and left with out never looking back. Aj looked at Marissa's back as she was leaving 'Damn, why didn't he die after he married me'. Aj was pissed and started to curse at Micheal wishing him to rot in hell. But unknown to them Micheals soul didn't dissipate. He heard everything and was disgusted for ever loving a women named Amanda Jackson.
