5 [Chapter 5]: The Camping

The school happened to be in a crowd today. Every student were excited, others were in dejection, and others were talkimg about 'it'. On the school ceremony earlier, the school council had announced that there will be an educational camp that will occur inside the school, and that's what everyone has been busy about. I couldn't care less about it though, school officers, including class officers, were required to come and I have no options left, but to follow it. The event should happen on the coming nights, and it looks like I must prepare. According to this, students with dorms are not allowed to go there during the camping, so I really should prepare. The camping will take 2 days and 1 night, yes, that short. There should be no problem to me though, as I know that the other officers in our room will come too, and that I have someone to talk to, as Authern is required to go too.

The classes had ended and everyone could not seem to move on about it. The news is everywhere, and the crowd's noise just won't stop. I went to my dorm and started packing up my clothes. Then it came to my mind that I still have a problem. What if I encountered the three familias again? What if things will start going crazy again, as the three of them could not agree with each other if I'm with them? But disregarding this problem, I continued packing my stuff.

My phone vibrated and I am not able to check it as I am busy packing my stuff. I have to make sure I am prepared, so that I won't have any more problems. It took me an hour to pack up my stuffs, and I was tired, so I took a rest and I lie down on the bed, napping.

Moments later, in the middle of my sleep, my phone started vibrating incessantly, and it interrupted my sleep. When I lifted my body and took a sit, I saw that the one who disturbed my sleep is no other than Champ. He had messaged me for a hundred times and I was not able to see or reply to any of it. I checked the messages and all of the texts he had sent only have had one message, and it is to ask if I'm going to the camping. I replied with a simple yes, and had told him, to not send overwhelming messages like that, because it is a waste of time. He didn't reply back, so I didn't mind it and I stood up and went for a walk. It's quite late already, when I wake up, but the darkness haven't consumed the visibility of the city yet. I went for a short walk, and by chance, (no, I'd rather say this is bad luck), I saw the naughtiest of the three, Clay. He doesn't look like he saw me though, as he is busy buying something. I slowly turned my back and walked as if I didn't saw him, however, the world couldn't seem to agree with me, and let Clay saw me. He called me, "Hey, Run!" he said then he ran towards me. I am currently frozen in my position, hesitating if I should run or not. But while thinking about it, it was too late, he had already reach me. "Hey, Run I am calling you!" he said while trying to catch his breath. I looked at him and acted like I was surprised. "O— oh! It's you Clay! What are you doing here?" I pretended but he laughed. "You can't lie properly don't you?" he said and I blushed, "And there you go blushing again." he said moments later on after I blushed. "So what are you doing here?" he asked but I shook my head, "I have asked you first." I said then he smirked, "You're probably following me, don't you?" he said and I got teased. "Jerk, who would follow someone like you?" I said and he laughed, 'Hey, if you already have feelings for me, spit it out, and let's be together." he said and I prepared my hands to slap him, then I did on his arms, "You weren't even listening, what's the point." I said then I left, "If you have the courage to tell to me you like me again, I'll just be at my dorm!" he shouted and it was embarrassing, imagine, in front of a very huge crowd, you'd say something like that?

I went back to my dorm, and as usual, I was tired. Tomorrow is going to be more tiring, I thought, as it is last day before the camping start.

—Camping Day—

I stood up from my bed and grabbed the bag I will use for the camping. I went outside my dorm after I fixed myself and went straight to the school grounds.

The morning ceremony had started and the councils were in charged of it. I was focusing on what the councils were saying til I realize that standing behind me was Champ. He tickles my back and I grabbed his hands. "Don't be naughty Champ. " I said and he laughed. "Sorry. " he said and we both continued listening to the councils.

Later on, the event had started and we were in our respective groups. The school is divided into different phases, up to 16th. Our first phase was the 10th one, related to being trustworthy, or rather, about being trusworthy itself. We all went to our phases and made a circle and took our seats as the instructor had told us. I didn't realize that Champ is in my group until I saw him in front of me on the circles. I saw him looked at me and smiled, I smiled at him too.

"Okay everyone, our game for today is related to gaining everyone's trust. Basically, we will do it in a verbal way. First off, one person reveals one lie about them and two truths about themselves, then someone from the circle will guess which is a lie. Is that clear? " the instructor told us and everyone nodded. "Alright for the first one, I'll choose..." then the instructor randomly pointed his eyes on random people and by bad luck, shit, I got first. Damn. "Stand up please. " the instructor told me to do so and I stood up. I was quite nervous about this, I know I won't be able to speak properly in front of this crowd. "A—alright... " I said then I looked at everyone. "I like someone in this circle, I have never been in a relationship, I've been broken hearted. " I said then everyone looked at me. Then, later on someone from the circle shouted, "The lie would be... You have never been in a relationsip, because with your looks, you have obviously been in one. " he said then I shook my head, "No, you're wrong. The lie is that I've been broken hearted. I have never been in a relationship because I'm afraid of being broken hearted. " then everyone's eyes widened from shock. "Alright, next one. " the instructor said then he started looking randomly. I looked at Champ, he seemed to be smiling while looking at me, I smiled at him too. The instructor had chosen somebody, and it happened to be Champ. He stood up and fixed himself. "Alright, I like someone in this group, I have never been in love, I'm already taken. " he said and it made me think what could possibly be the lie in what he said. Because judging his looks, it is hard to guess which is a lie and a fact. Someone again from the group raised his hand and shouted, "I'll try to guess, you have never been inlove? " he said and Champ shook his head. "I've already dedicated myself to the person I like in this group. And he is my first love. " he said and we all were shocked. "He? " someone asked. "Yes he. " he said and we were all amazed by his bravery. "That guy, would be the luckiest person ever. " another person from the group had said and the game continued.

Later on, we were able to do five phases and we were given partners to share the given tent. And God who knows why is Champ my partner.
