[Chapter 4]: A Journalist's Dream

When I got inside the school, I notice that there is a crowd in the bulletin board. There are different competitions said to be handled by each clubs. As for me, a member of both Astrology and Journalism, it seemed to me that there'd be a problem, however. our president from the Astrology club decided to not participate in the event, which was fine for me. The only left thing is the journalism, we are tasked to compete in another school as a representative of our school. There is one thing to take notice, another familia is in the club, the only one left, Christopher. He is able to win consecutive competitions from his old school, and this time he is competing with me in another school. The thing to take prior is knowing his attitude, I must know how can I talk to him well, minding the fact that ever since we both met, we never had any good conversation.

After class, me and Christopher were required to go to the club and take up classes and trainings, which is to make sure we'll achieve champion, at least, that's what our president told us. It was no shock though, the Christopher do want to achieve the champion title, as he was born to be like that, what could I possibly expect from someone who successfully ran a company at the age of 16?

We were both alone in the room, doing the first step of our training, moments later we were both done. I looked at him, staring and doesn't hesitate removing my eyes off of him, as this is one of the possible actions to do in order to know him more.

While staring, I saw his affective side. His eyeglass suits perfectly with the shape of his head, his mole is perfectly placed between his lip and chin. "If you're gonna go waste your time staring and admiring me, you'd better leave." he told me and I blushed. "I— I wasn't admiring you!" I said in a shy tone and he smiled, a little bit. "Sure." he muttered then he wrote something on a piece of paper. I found myself still blushing while watching him, slowly, my heartbeat goes heavier, as I stare at him with amazement.

Later on. after the training, I am hesitsting if should I approach him or not, but the opposite happened. I saw him walking towards me and I couldn't look at him directly. "Let's eat dinner." he said and I was shocked, "I—" before I could continue, "I'll treat." he said then he grabbed my wrists, then he brought me out.

This is an unexpected occurence. I didn't expect him to talk to me then later on asked me out for dinner then drag me outside. "Where are we going?" I asked. "I told you already, to dinner." he said then I went in silence, this guy has to be kidding me. He brought me inside his car then he drove.

Inside the car, we are in a momentum of silence, but I want to kill it. "Do you like journalism?" I asked but he didn't respond, or that's what I thought. He was in silence for a minute before taking a sigh then responding, "It is my career. My job in the company is related to it and I love these kind of stuff." he said. "How about you?" he asked. "I love writing novels and poems, I love composing and I express my imagination through literature so I actually love journalism." I said then he looked at me, "We're quite the same I see." he said then I blushed. "I— I think so." I said then he smirked. "You sure do like blushing don't you? It seems that you can't control it yourself." he said then I blushed more, "I always blush when I feel comfortable with someone. I don't know why, but if I'm comfortable, I feel like staying with that person." I said then I looked at him, I saw him slowly smiling, then he blushed. My eyes widened from what I saw then he glanced at me. "What are you looking at? This is common." he said then I replied, "Not for people like you." I said then he blushed more.

Later on, we arrived at the restaurant, he went out of the car and opened the door for me, I went out and he closed the door. He went inside first then talked to the waiter, he had a reservation. I was shocked though, is he preparing for something? Like I mean how come he had made a reservation for just dinner and it is just the two of us. "You have made a reservation?" I asked and he shook his head, "I've always been reserved to a certain table here, after all, our company is a huge contributor to this restaurant." he said and I nodded my head with understanding.

As we take our seat, a waiter came to us, "The usual." Christopher said and the waiter left. "What's the usual?" I asked and he smiled, "You'll love it." he said as his mood turns inti positive. "You look perfect when you're looking positive." I said then he glanced at me. "I've always liked journalism." he said and I was shocked that he is opening up at me, "Wow." I said then he smiled. "I want to be famous novelist one day, a computer expert and a photographer, an excelling one." he said which made me knew his dreams. I have no doubt that he'll be able to pursue his dreams, after all, he excels in the school. "I know you'll be able to do it, after all, you know how to work." I told him and he smiled.

Later on the food was delivered and I was shocked by its theme, it somehow looks like a japanese themed cuisine. "Japanese?" I asked and he nodded while smiling. "I love everything about Japan, novels, animations, mangas and more." he said. "No wonder your t shirt is from japan." I said then he glanced at his shirt, "Haven't noticed." he said. "Anyways, let's eat." he also said and I agree then we both ate.

Later on when we were finished, he walked with me towards his car and said "I'll drop you at your home." he said but I shook my head, "No thanks, maybe I'll go here by myself." I said. "I'll wait for you when ypu got in a taxi then." he said and I blushed, I couldn't seem to understand the sudden chance in his attitude, but maybe, after all, this is who he really is.

Later on, I found a taxi and went inside, but he stopped the taxi. "What?" I asked and he gave me his phone, "Give me your number." he said and I blushed from shock. "A— alright." I said as I grab his phone and gave him my number. Nothing else, I went home.

—Run—

When I went home I cleaned up and went straight to my room then I scrolled through my phone. Later on, I noticed that I got a text, and it was from Christopher, asking if I am home already then I replied. I was so tired I wasn't able to hold onany longer and fell asleep.
