10 [Chapter 10]: Forgotten Friendship

As me and Caleb went out of the restaurant, I saw Gale in frint of us glaring at me. "G— Gale? How long have you been there?" I asked but it was no use, her stare is scary. "Ever since I saw the person I like kiss my fucking gay friend, that's when." she said and she ran off. "G— Gale!" I called her but she ignored me. I looked at Caleb and he looked at me too, I showed a worried face. "Don't worry, I promised you remember? I'll look after you, Everything will be alright as long as I'm here." he said as he held my cheeks. I feel comforted though, and he walked with me until I reached my home. "You should be careful alright? You know she hates you now." he said and I nodded. "Goodnight." I said then I opened the gate. "Wait." he said and he grabbed my wrists, "You forgot something," he said and I wondered what until he pointed his cheeks, "Pervert," I muttered then I went inside but he still grabbed my wrists. When he pulled me, he kissed me on my lips and held my chin, "Goodnight." then he released me. I blushed heavily as if it beats the fact that I am tired. I went inside my room and took a rest, I'm tired as fuck.

—Next Day—

I'm dead beat shit. The contest is already the day after tomorrow, we gotta do some huge preparations, as this was tasked to the student councils. We all went to the student council's room then we took our meeting. Everyone is here, as in everyone, ignoring the

Arthur-Mint problem, everything seemed to be fine. Then the assessment started. Everyone brain-stormed for the event tomorrow, Authern divided each task to groups, and I was assigned for the lightings. After the meeting adjourned, I went to the auditorium and started assembling the lightings. "Your boyfriend's here Authern!" Keith teased and I lokmed at him, "Fuck you." I said then I looked at Caleb, he's topless, he went to play basketball since he was holding a ball. He went near me and I froze for a moment, fuck there goes his body again. When he is near me, "Need any help?" he asked. "Sure." I said and he lend me a hand. The job's quite finished early since he helped not only me but everyone. As I exit the auditorium, "Should we eat first before going home?" he asked but I shook my head. "I'm quite tired, I think I'll go straight home." I said then he grabbed my bag. "Alright, I'll go with you until outside the school only for now, I have to meet up my friends, they wanted to celebrate the victory from the game before." he said and I don't feel like I'll be fine but I let him. "A— alright, you go have fun mkay?" I said.

When we reached the school grounds, everyone seemed to be off the school already, as I went out the school with Caleb, he farewelled and gave.

*Hospital machines beeping

Stuffs I hear as I slowly try to open my eyes, everything is quite blurred and my head aches. I feel so dizzy, and slowly while everything around me tries to be clear, I saw people around me. "A— Authern are you alright now?" my brother said. I looked around me, everyone seemed to be worried. "W— what happened?" I asked. "We saw you passed out in the middle of the street with stabs around your body." my brother said and I still feel the pain. I tried getting up but it was no use. Everyone looked so worried, "I— I'm sorry for not taking care of myself." I told everyone and they all nodded. "You should continue taking your rest." they said.

—Next Day—

As I slowly try to open my eyes, I've felt something touching my lips, and when it opened, I saw Caleb kissing me. "What the fuck are you doing pervert?!" I said and he laughed. "I know you'll wake up with true love's kiss." he said and I blushed. "Asshole!" I said, feeling shy. "How are you now?" he asked and I nodded my head, "Quite alright now." I said then he sighed from relief. "The battle is already tomorrow, why are you still here and not doing your rehearsal?" I asked and he smiled. "I'd rather stay here." he said. I glared at him, "Don't you dare waste my hardwork for this band. No backing up, go to school and take your last rehearsal jerk." I said and he smiled, "Alright, alright my wife, just chill." he said. "What did you say just now?" I asked but he sweated all over his body. "I'll go now, see ya!" he said and he ran outside my room then I found myself laughing while blushing.
