Time passed in the blink of an eye and it was Stella's tenth birthday.

It had been ten years already but her parents were the same as before. Their fights had not only been reduced at all but had also increased in an immense rate. Verbal abuses had turned in physical abuses now.

When she was younger she used to think that after a certain amount of time her parents would stop fighting and they would live happily like other families. But she had long lost that hope also.

It was her birthday so although she knew there was neither any celebration nor anyone waiting for her she went to home from school a bit earlier.

She opened the door of house with her keys and got in. In that moment she heard a frightening shriek which came from David's room.

Stella barged into his room and a slight chill went through her spine. David was lying on a pool of blood unconsciously.

She was just about to cry for help when someone hit her from the back with a steel rod. Her world turned black ....
