It took only a couple of moments for Hanna's wrinkly face to emerge from under the drapery and to come to hug the young woman before they all sat at the table.

"I sure hope this old hag did not pester you with business proposals, dearie. That would be extremely unwelcoming of her." Hanna narrowed her eyes and shook her head slightly as if admonishing her business partner. "You never were a good host, you old goose." She added balancing irony with a joke. Then she turned her attention to Soo-Ah once more. "But you dearie, the hour must be so late for you. I am sure we can talk at length tomorrow. Are you hungry? Let's get you something to eat before we send you to bed." Hanna ordered from the cook a hot soup for Soo-Ah and some rice wine, the good kind, to celebrate their reunion.
