Chapter 195: Hydra Remnant.

Ryan and his fiance decided to take a small personal break and while at it do a little bit of research while enjoying each other's company. Ryan decided to take a break on the hidden realm which has been now enlarged to become a small planet.

The peaceful sound of the waves gently breaking into the seaside was finally broken when a voice sounded out.

"How does this look on me?" Gwen asked while showing him her new bikini. She wore a blue and white striped bikini and a green skirt tied up on her waist. Her hair was a bit wet and she pulled the rubber strap of her lower body bikini to shake off the sand.

Ryan gulped his saliva when he saw her getting out of the sea. He quickly burned the sight of her figure into his mind and couldn't help himself from breaking into a smile.

He had created a resort out of knowhere near the sea for their short break. In the luxurious seaside resort he created, only the two of them were there.

Even the islanders and the pokemons didn't even know about this resort's existence. It was only for them, and would disappear when he's gone.

"It's very pretty. I was literally drooling while watching you." Ryan said as he looked upward from his beach chair.

Gwen's lips curled upward and she pulled his hand to make him stand up. "Let's go swim. We need to finish the work after this."

After their engagement, they have been working non-stop for 3 whole months. For any other couple, that time would be a pseudo-honeymoon period, but Ryan and Gwen couldn't even make time for each other.

After getting out from the ocean, Ryan and Gwen decided to walk towards the barbecue place where a meal was being prepared for them by the magical resort.

"Daddy!" Suddenly, a young 2 years old kid ran toward Ryan and hugged him.

The kid had blonde hair, the same as Ryan, and green eyes, the same as Gwen. If someone looked at the group from afar, they might have thought that Vis was a bastard child of the Ryan and Gwen. (as they were unmarried as of yet)

"Vis. I am your Godfather, not your daddy." Ryan said and mimicked Marlon Brando. " But you can call… me father. We are now…family. "

"Father!" Vis said and hugged Ryan while laughing innocently.

"It's the last day for you to stay with me, Vis. Your mommy and daddy will take you back home tonight."

"Really?" Vis said with glittering eyes. Living with his Godfather has been great, but he wanted to be with his mother and father more. When Ryan and Gwen spent some time together, Vis was taken care of by a Baymax unit.

Gwen ruffled the boy's hair and took him from Ryan. She held the two year old in her arms while the kid rested on her chest. It was almost bedtime for him and he was sleepy.

"Dana and Stephanie are okay now?" Gwen asked whisperingly.

(A/N: For those who don't remember, Dana is his body double and Stephanie is the daughter of Gideon Malik, a hydra head.)

"Yeah. They have worked something out." Ryan replied.

It's been a week since the battle in Skrullos happened. And 3 more weeks before the World Summit will take place. But the story of how Vis came into the care of Ryan started even before the battle in Skrullos – during the time Ryan confronted Hive, the inhuman Hydra monster.

(A/N: The event actually took place while Dawn was still going to space.I didn't write it because I thought no one would focus on it at that time as the battle of the galaxy was more important. Had to do all of the chapters in a flashback.)

"Show me the Hydra remnants."

Midnight. Inside a high-technology SHIELD base, Ryan decided to assign the newly hired SHIELD agent's to handle the situation. With the world summit in sight, he needed the most uncontrollable factors to be in his grasp.

"Clairvoyance. Gideon Malik. Madame Hydra. Baron Strucker. Zola. Zemo." ALBUS replied as he pulled up the characters data on the screen.

"Madame Hydra is still undetected?" Ryan asked.

"Yes. We could not find any traces of her. We do, however, find the traces of a demonic venom inside the New York sewer line." Phil Coulson replied.

His team – the Agents of Shields, has been called in by Ryan after the Skrull Invasion on Earth. Coulson has also added Barbara Morse into his team to monitor her psychological condition and help her adapt this world.

The team has managed to cure a chitauri virus outbreak, saving Coulson's fiance from a ghost stalker, and even found the lead on the flaming skeleton riding a motorcycle.

"She has managed to escape our encirclement countless times now. And the toxicity of the poison we managed to procure had increased. If this continues I'm afraid…." Leo Fitz muttered in a shaky voice.

"Even her small breath could create a mist of poison, killing the entirety of the city." Jenna Simon explained, cutting into Fitz's words. Ryan nodded and turned his attention to Skye. She was sitting there dumbly with a donut in her hand.

"What?" Skye said and licked her lips.

"I guess we found the volunteer to go in the sewer." Ryan said with a devious grin. Skye's face paled and quickly realised she was punished for not focusing on the briefing. "No . wait!"

"Thank you Skye for your hard work. Now, moving on to the Sokovia situation." Ryan removed his gaze on Skye and got back to the screen.

"NOOOO!!!!" Skye yelled, but it was too late for her. Suddenly, her future step-mom walked into the briefing room.

"Ryan, I will take the sewers." Natasha Romanoff announced.

"No." Ryan shook his head decisively.

"She wants to find me. I couldn't let anyone else put their lives at risk!" Natasha agitatedly said as she clenched her fist.

"Absolutely not!" Ryan said in a stern voice and with determination in his eyes.

It wasn't a secret anymore that Madame Hydra aka the Viper wanted to find Natasha to kill her. She had captured a few SHIELD agents and tortured them to get info on Natasha. So far, there have been 10 casualties on SHIELD's side in their mission to capture Viper.

"You rather let Skye get in there rather than an experienced tracker?" Natasha tried to argue.

"Hey I am a level 7 agent." Skye said sadly and pouted. Trained by Kai since young, Skye quickly climbed into the levels within the 2 months she was there. Natasha pulled her cheek as she awaited Ryan's answer.

"Nah, I won't actually send her in there…not without some backup."

Ryan opened a file and showed it to Natasha and Skye. Even the rest of the team could see the figure displayed on the screen as Ryan didn't hide it. The figure was barely 1.3 metres tall, wears a hood over his head, and has all of his facial features hidden.

"This is?" Skye asked. She walked next to Ryan for a closer look, so did Natasha.

"This is Master Splinter. He will guide you inside the sewers. Believe me, there is no one in New York that knows the sewers like he does."

Reminiscing the time when he first met the martial art master and his 4 adopted sons, Ryan was overcome with emotion. "There are also a few teenagers living with him that would help you out there."

"Teenagers? Living in the sewers?" Skye asked sympathetically. "Couldn't you give them somewhere to live through the Knight foundation?"

"I asked them. They said the sewers are their home. And it was also the best place for their ninja training."

Natasha raised her brows and stared at Ryan's face. She got a feeling that there was something he kept from them, but she couldn't quite figure out what.

"I will go with Skye then." Natasha brought up her involvement again.

"You don't give up do you? How many yous are actually working right now?"

Ryan's question caused the others to become puzzled. Coulson thought the YOUs was a codeword for a new team under Natasha. His mind instantly worked hard to find the name that used YOUs as an acronym.

"30 are working. One is on vacation. And then me." Natasha replied. After a while, Natasha and Skye had finished their preparation to explore the sewer and to find traces of Viper.

"Oh. and bring pizzas." Ryan reminded them before they left. Although puzzled and suspicious, Natasha did follow Ryan's command. Skye walked toward Ryan and held her palm out.

"Money for pizza?" She asked for some cash.

"Get it at the mission centre." Ryan dismissed her. When Natasha and Skye went out, they then found out that there wasn't a mission centre at the base!

"HEY!" Skye yelled out, but the door closed on her face. Natasha and Skye looked toward each other.

"Not it." Natasha said instantly.

"Not i- DAMN IT!" Skye yelled out in frustration.

None of them know yet, but Skye would change almost completely after the mission. She would even get in touch with her roots – something that she had decided to push away as she was too busy right now.

Back to the briefing room.

"Phil. Take Jenna and Fitz back to the Bus. You will provide support for Skye and Natasha."

"I understand. About Sokovia, who will-" Before Phil could ask, a muscular blonde man walked in with his indestructible (already broken once lol) shield.

"I will." Steve Rogers walked toward Phil and shook his hand. "It's been a while, Coulson."

"It's been a while Steve." Phil said, smiling brightly like a fanboy when he met Captain America.

Ryan took a look at Steve and frowned. "Will you bring the shield to the mission?"

It would destroy the concept of stealth if he waltzed into the country waving his Captain America trademark.

"No. I will put it here for safekeeping." Steve was a bit embarrassed because he didn't think much before he brought the shield there.

"Remember. You will only go there to investigate. When the situation gets too tough, just signal me and I will take you home."

His mission was to investigate the mass disappearance in Sokovia, presumably the current dictator was creating his personal army. Ryan already popped into the country to take a look. What he needed now was justification to take over the country.

'Let's do it the American way.' Ryan schemed inwardly.

Zola was still feeding him the information from inside Baron Strucker's Castle. The time for him to storm into the Hydra head research lab was nearing, and he needed to make some preparation.

Phil Coulson frowned and interjected, "I don't think there is any mission too tough for-"

"You're still here? The rest of your team is already inside the ship. You want to get left behind?" Ryan said.

Phil turned to look behind him and found out that he was the only one left there. He then reluctantly shook hands with Steve – which Ryan felt was too long of a handshake, and ran toward the door.

"Fanboys." Ryan cursed and beckoned Steve to come closer to him. He placed a small box in Steve's hand, and reminded him, "Zemo might be there. So tread carefully."

"If he is there…then the Masters of Evil?" Steve asked with a solemn face. The mission difficulty has gotten much higher now. He glanced at the shield beside him, his finger itching to pick it up.

"Don't worry. Only Songbird is there. And you won't even get close to their current position. This is a contingency plan, but you won't need it if nothing bad happened." Ryan said. He knew he was planting flags, but wasn't that the fun of it?

The box he gave Steve would save his life in a precarious situation. It contained a compressed iron armour that he made especially for Captain America.

'Iron Captain? No wait, America Iron Man? Nah…think Ryan Think!'

Ryan smiled on the outside despite his internal struggle on the inside. Steve took the box from him and put it into his pocket. "It's heavy. What is this?"

"You'll find out after you press it. Will you bring Sam with you?"

"I think he is ready."

Steve was impressed with Sam with both of his resilience and battle instinct. Ryan already procured the carbon-fibre Exo-7 Falcon unit from the air force and gave it to Sam.

Even though Steve has a new best friend now, he still thought about Bucky. "Do you have any leads on him?" He asked Ryan, the All-seeing Oracle.

Ryan closed his eyes and thought for a while whether or not to tell Steve the truth. "Actually…" He then decided to share Bucky's location with Steve. The latter widened his eyes when he heard it.

Bucky was located in an extremely familiar location to him. "Brooklyn?"

That's right. Bucky was in New York. No longer being an outlaw, he spent his day as a functioning member of society, or at least he tried to. And at night he puts on his mask and starts to hunt the Hydra's remnants in the city.

Bucky also didn't forget to make amends and search the kin of the people he had killed in his time as the Winter Soldier.

"Meet him after the mission. I don't think he is going anywhere." Ryan said as he patted Steve on his shoulder.

On the other side of the city, Ophelia was staggering and her body shivered, but she pushed herself to walk inside the foul-stench sewer of New York City.

Black drops of poison dripped from her hair and her fingers. Almost every part of her was coated with poison, but she was unclear of how she got into the situation.

"Hey Basilisk! You say the poison will double daily until I find and kill the 'lover of my lover'. So unless my lover is in love with 30 people at the same time, you've breached the contract!"

Stomping on her shadow where the snake demon resides, a dark and scaly skin was seen slithering inside her shadow.

Kai had already known about Natasha's secret to duplicate herself. As he showed acceptance and respect toward her decision, Natasha decided to reward him with all 16 of herself that she could duplicate at that time.

Now that her ability had evolved into 32 duplications, Ophelia had to kill all of her copies to complete the mission, otherwise her body would be taken over by the snake demon as she couldn't complete the contract.

"I need to go…To Kamar Taj…Maybe they can help me…" Ophelia muttered. She gritted her teeth as she knew her fate if she went into the Sanctum Santorum. Even if the snake demon could be exorcised, she would suffer the consequences from the sorcerers.

The only good news that she has was that the entity who had been hunting her and the rest of Serpent Society was no longer focused on her. "I am…hungry…" Ophelia said in a low voice. It's been 3 days since she had eaten something. The venom around her had ruined every food she touched, making it inedible or could cause fatal poisoning for her.

Suddenly, her nose picked up a different type of smell coming from in front of her.

"This is…Pizza?" She muttered in suspicion, fearing that this was another trap set up for her.

She walked slowly and found that the path turned into a corner. She peeked from the walls as she heard some voice talking near the corner.

"I am telling you. Anchovies on pizza are the best!" A giant bipedal turtle with a purple eye-band said.

"ARE YOU CRAZY! Cheesy pizza is the best!!" Another bipedal turtle with an orange eye-band retorted.

Donatello and Michalangello had snuck away from their place to share a pizza, just the two of them. They ordered the pizza using an app before they stealthily picked up the food where the delivery man had delivered.

"Man, that guy is freaking awesome. He gave us 100,000 in salary a year without even batting an eye." Mikey praised as he stretched out the cheese after taking a bite.

"Don't talk with food in your mouth." Donatello gave him a stink eye as he dared to call Mr. Knight by 'that guy'. For a tech savvy guy like him, Ryan Knight's name should be worshipped and not to be mentioned easily.

Even when Donatello met Ryan previously in their discussion, he froze the entire time. Mikey had stacked a 3 metre tall aluminium can tower on his head when he unfroze.

The duo suddenly sensed that they were being watched after they finished an entire pizza by themselves. "Who's there!" Mikey stood up with a face full of cheese and took out his nunchucks and started to swing it.

Donatello looked toward the edge of the wall, and he saw a pale hand with black nails gripping the edge of the wall.

"Mikey. MIKEY." Don patted Mikey's back hurriedly and pointed at the hand he saw. Mikey gulped his saliva and goosebumps appeared on his shells. (A/N: Cause, why not? )

Ophelia staggered and her hand slipped from the wall, pushing her head through the corners. She was a beautiful woman, but all Donatello and Mikey saw was…

"GHOST!!!!"

The teenagers shouted a few karate exclamations before they decided to retreat.

"What just happened?" Ophelia asked herself confused. She didn't realise that the demonic aura on her had grown, causing primal fear in people who saw her. Ophelia walked toward the place Mikey and Donny sat before, and found that they had left a whole box of pizza there.

"Is this my lucky day? Or is this my last meal?" Ophelia said depreciating before she ripped off the cardboard box of the eaten pizza box. She rolled the cardboard to make it shift into a chopstick.

Finally, she got her meal after 3 days of starvation.

While Ophelia was having her meal, Natasha and Skye finally arrived at the meeting place for them to meet Master Splinter.

At the same time, Gideon Malik finally decided to make a move.

"I finally figured out how to activate the obelisk!" Gideon Malik exclaimed from his secret hiding place. He didn't research it himself, but he claimed the efforts of the researchers as his own.

"Send men to capture Stephanie and that bastard grandchild of mine." Gideon Malik said angrily.

After spending millions of dollars, he finally found his daughter's hiding place. Stephanie and Dana have been living on Curacao island in the Mediterranean, enjoying their time as a family.

Seeing his daughters smile on the pictures he received from the mercenaries, anger swells up inside of Gideon Malik. He decided then, who will be the first sacrifice for the hydra monster to satiate his hunger.
