126 Chapter 126: Fighting a Master of the Mystical Art. (Part 1)

The Avengers landed near the cave's entrance.

Natasha in her black widow suit and a black sword on her back, Steve in his Captain America suit and carrying his shield, Tony in his fancy suit, and Clint with his bow and arrow disembark from the jet and are touching the ground.

Bruce is waiting inside the jet if he is ever needed – that he's hoping wouldn't happen. Blade is going on another path. He split up from them one kilometre back and entered from another entrance. He's also responsible for blocking anyone from running away.

"Are you sure he's here?" Barton asked as he observed the cave. The plants in front of the cave entrance were untouched, and there weren't any signs of people going in or out.

"I think. We need to check to be sure." Tony said.

Equipping his Mark 7 suit, Tony is scanning the cave with his spectral cameras to find the hideout. An X-ray scan of the cave's multiple paths are shown in his scans and Jarvis calculating the most efficient route.

"There is a structure inside the cave. An open hall with multiple rooms," Tony said as Jarvis finished the scanning. The pathway is too narrow for him to fly, so he has to walk inside.

"Don't let your guard down!" Steve suddenly jumped in front of Tony and blocked the attack coming from the cave entrance with his shield.

A giant snake collided with the Shield. The shield stuck inside his mouth, and venom started to drip from its fang onto Steve's right hand that is holding the shield.

"CAP!" Clint yelled out urgently and shot out an explosive arrow to the eye of the gigantic snake. It penetrated the snake's eyeball, exploding its brain. However, it didn't turn into chunks of flesh, instead it turned into black smoke and dissipated.

"OHH, IT'S YOU… The (whisper: what is it again?) Avengers!" Coming out from the shadow of the cave with Maria Laveau next to her, Shiklah covered her mouth as she pretended to be surprised that they had met again.

Shaking the venom off his hand and changing the shield to his left hand, Steve said amidst the numbness of his right hand, "Yeah, we meet again. Is Kai inside?"

"He is. He broke out of jail and is now kicking ass!" The succubi demon said honestly.

"Shiklah!," Maria Laveau stared at the demon in disbelief, regretting her choice to summon the insatiable demon.

Natasha breathes in relief after hearing that Kai had broken himself out. Steve and Tony nodded toward each other as if they expected the outcome.

"Take care of the archer and the shield guy. I will do the rest," Maria Laveau ordered her contracted demon.

"Owh, he is very cute. Can I take him as a pet insteaaaad?" Shiklah said to her contractor. She couldn't go against the demon contract's order. But if she hurt the humans she knows Kai will come for her next, and she didn't want that.

To be able to survive the war between monsters and vampires before the rise of mankind, Shiklah has a great life preservation ability. Although she is locked inside the coffin by her father at the end of it, her instinct had always guided her to survive.

"Kill them," Maria ordered coldly. She summoned two giant snakes and started to attack Natasha and Tony.

"This is veery unscientific!" Tony said as he flew to the sky with his leg repulsor and started to shoot at the snake with his palm repulsor.

Taking out Kai's sword that S.H.I.E.L.D had never given him back, Natasha used it to guard against the snake.

The snake opened up its mouth wide to swallow Natasha whole and attacked her from the side. She jumped above the snake and stabbed the black sword towards its eye. The snake squirmed in pain and tried to smash her with its tail, but she jumped backwards acrobatically to avoid it, leaving the sword stuck on the snake's eye.

"Attack the sorceress, not the snakes!" Captain America yelled to Tony and Natasha as he blocked the fireball from Shiklah. The fire caused a scorch mark on the vibranium shield, but failed to penetrate it.

"Nice, I will attack from the side now. Be sure to block it," Shiklah gave cheat codes to Steve as she tried to fatally injure him.

"What kind of battle is this?" Clint said as he shot out multiple arrows toward Shiklah. It hit her, but failed to injure her whatsoever.

Shiklah glared at Barton and scolded him while rubbing the sore spots near her chest, "Don't you have any manners?"

"Lady, manners aren't necessary in battle," Clint replied as he drew his arrow again. The battle seemed balanced, but only because Shiklah is doing her bare minimum.

She can create illusions and put all of the people here, man and woman, on a wet dream adventure with her as a protagonist.

She can also shapeshift into a giant 3 meter-tall monster demon and kill them all instantly, but Maria didn't know that she has the ability to do that, so she only ordered her to kill them using the demons' hellfire manipulation and her demon strength.

Being summoned without her true body also weakened her and she can barely use one third of her power.

Shiklah burst into great speed and ran towards Barton. She kicked up a cloud of dust as she closed the 20 metre distance in a mere two seconds.

Barton released the arrow that was drawn by his bow, shooting 3 arrows at the same time. The arrows would burst into small explosions when they hit. Shiklah jumps horizontally and dodges the arrow by rolling mid air.

She landed in front of Barton who tried to hit her with the bow.

"Clint!" Captain America threw his shield towards Shiklah's claws that were going for Barton's neck. The shield made it in time to save Barton. The claw hit the shield, leaving a scratch mark on it. Barton was knocked by the momentum and was rolling on the ground.

Steve is startled by Shiklah's sudden changes. Maria Laveau is having a tough time battling Iron Man and Black Widow at the side, so she takes complete control of Shiklah which she commanded the demon to finish up the battle quickly and help her.

Iron Man was bathed in black fluid as the giant snake sprayed its venom towards the metal man. It didn't penetrate the armour, however.

"Ewww ewww ewww!!!" Tony is flying around to shake the venom from his armour as he shoots multiple missiles toward Maria.

Maria is guarded by an army of rattlesnakes, coiling around her body – taking the damage for her.

Maria Laveau is an excellent emotion manipulator. If she is free, then she may convince Natasha and Tony to join her instead. However, Isaiah Cullen hated that personality in her. He enslaved her mind and made her personality more stoic instead – killing her biggest advantage.

For Isaiah not to kill Maria is already mercy. After all, human beings shouldn't dabble in black magic or even basic magic – except for him who is following God's will. If the Prophecy didn't tell him that Maria is needed in the upcoming battle against the dark world, he would have killed her on the spot.

"Shiklah, we are not your enemy," The shieldless Captain America said. He wanted to retract the shield, but Shiklah is already close to him. She stuck her palm together and shot out a massive hell-fire beam that engulfed the entirety of Captain America.

"Rogers!" Tony sees it and shoots out his shoulder missiles toward the demon, making Shiklah retreat a dozen meters away.

Steve opened his eyes inside the fiery inferno. "Why isn't the fire hot?" He mumbles to himself.

Then, he felt the fire congregating onto his palm. More accurately, toward the gauntlet Eclipse gave him.

"That's it! I… forgot about this," Steve muttered to himself as he summoned the gauntlet from within his hand, equipping him with the gauntlet from Diablo world that has been excited ever since it sensed a demon.

The fire-element gauntlet can wield an enemy's fire as its own after Ryan upgraded its function. Steve Rogers' strength increased tenfold – enhanced from the charged gauntlet he kicked the ground to run towards Shiklah.

He strikes her stomach area using his palm, making her fly hundreds of meters away, into the rocky areas of the cave.

Inside the cave, in the middle of the temple.

Kai stared at the old man in disbelief after he committed suicide – or so he thought.

Dark magic flows uncontrollably from the wound of the old man's forehead. The bleeding stopped and a third eye opened up on the old-man's forehead instead.

"The Eye of Agamotto? You're at this level?" Kai mutters as he puts his guard up. He can feel the old man's capabilities had increased multiple times.

"Don't call it by what the Heretics label it! This is the Eye of the Lord," Isaiah Curwen yelled toward Kai.

He had forcefully increased his wisdom by stabbing his brain with the Silver Dagger, a.k.a the Sword of Horus. Although his wisdom had been increased, he still is fanatic toward his belief.

Dark magic engulfs his palm and the old man floats mid-air. He shoots out multiple dark beams toward Kai.

"Old man, you labelled people heretics for using magic. But aren't you a hypocrite?" Kai smirks as he summons his white wings and flies mid-air to dodge the dark beam. The beam shattered the place he was standing before, leaving a big, gaping hole on the floor.

"My actions are God's will. And God needs you to DIE!" Isaiah Curwen said with fanaticism.

Kai frowned when he sensed the magic traps inside the temple were activated by the old man. He activated it when he summoned the Eye of Agamotto, and wanted to make sure Kai couldn't escape.

Kai may be strong, but he isn't a match for a Master of the Mystic Arts — that's what the old man thought.

Tentacles caome out from the walls, trying to catch Kai who is flying mid-air.

"Eww, could you please use something… less disgusting?" Kai muttered as he summoned his new Epic companion beast, a demonic sword.

He slices the PG-18 slippery tentacles that are coming onto him. The old man shoots out his dark beam every time Kai is obstructed by the tentacles.

"Fire Breathing Technique: Fifth Form — Flame Tiger"

Kai unleashes multiple sword slashes that seemingly look like a giant tiger, ripping out the tentacles from the walls.

The slices of the tentacles fell into the floor and dissipated into black smoke. However, new tentacles spawned from the walls instantaneously and encircled Kai.

The old man took out his silver dagger after it returned to his hand from out of nowhere, and enlarged it using a spell. It enlarged until it became the size of a door.

"Cleanse!" The old man ordered the dagger and threw it toward Kai using his telekinesis spell.

"Urgh-!" Kai groaned as the dagger clashed with his sword, producing sparks of fire. Curwen took the chance where he's immobile to shoot multiple dark beams toward Kai.

They hit Kai on his back, engulfing him inside an tremendous explosion. The old man smiled disgustingly as he saw Kai bleeding out. Kai's shirt is destroyed in the explosion, leaving him with only the lower part that looks like a skirt.

"Damn it, it breached my defences," Kai mumbles. A huge wound appeared on his back and stained his body with dark magic.

The tentacles kept trying to catch him, and they made him extremely annoyed. Fighting in an enclosed space, he couldn't use his air manoeuvrability to its fullest.

"I don't want to use this yet, as I don't think it is ready," Kai said as he summoned another sword in his left hand. It is an Angel's sword companion beast.

He didn't use the sword Qi yet as he felt that it was unnecessary. Now he has changed his mind.

"But I can't stand the disgusting tentacles any longer," Kai said as the tentacles were giving him PTSD even when the battle isn't over yet.

"Also, I haven't learned to speak with a sword in my mouth yet."

Kai summoned the last sword and bit the hilt. Curwen widened his eyes as he saw the sight of the shirtless man with three swords. Kai crosses the sword in his arm into an X shape above his head.

Red-sharp glints appear in his dark pupils as he wields his Wind God Art to enhance his attack.

[Santoryu : Tatsumaki! (Three Sword Style: Whirlwind!)]

"NOO!" Isaiah Curwen screamed as he felt the tremendous power inside the slash that Kai unleashed.

A massive blade whirlwind appeared inside the cave, cutting all the tentacles into pieces. The old man protected himself in a self-defensive spell, shielding his entire body.

The wind rages inside the cave, and it hits the ceiling of the cave with extreme force.

*BOOOOM!*

A loud explosion occurred inside the cave as the whirlwind breaches the 50 meter ceiling thickness, producing a big circular hole to the surface. Stones and stalagmites fell towards the temples, demolishing it in its entirety.

Outside the cave, the battle was halted as the Avenger and the sorceress needed to dodge the stone projectiles coming from the top of the hill.

"What happened there?" Tony's eyes widened as JARVIS is showing him the satellite scans of the explosion, and traces of whirlwind coming out from the hole.

Kai stared at the scared and sweaty Curwen with ruthlessness in his eyes. But then, he remembered something.

"OH SH*T, JACK!!" He forgot that the werewolves are also inside the cave. He flies quickly toward the jail cell in which he saw Jack is buried underneath the falling stalagmites.

As he landed to help Jack, Curwen cast a spell.

"I summon - the Crimson Band of Cyttorak."

Fiery and metallic restraint coiled around Kai's body as he was removing the debris from the werewolf. It coiled his arms, torso and his neck.

The bands tighten up around his throat, ignoring all of his defence. Spells from the crimson dimension are quite high in power, making Kai immobile.

"Kill," the old man ordered the silver dagger that had returned to its normal size. The dagger flew instantly and reached towards Kai's heart.
