124 Chapter 124: Fanatics.

It is almost dawn, hours after the capture of the Fallen Angel/Raven/Kingsman.

"Captain, can you tell me more about the uhhh…battle nun?" Bruce Banner is standing at the computer screen and asks as he is helping Tony scan for traces of the kidnapper.

Tony and Bruce are scanning the flight records, boats, traffic cameras, and so on for possible traces of the missing group.

The Iron Man is now flying to the docks to check up on the CCTV there as it wasn't connected to the city and the system is too old for him to do anything remotely. He is attaching some transmitters to the system there before he gets back to the tower.

"Here, I… snatched it from one of them," Steve handed the nun's ripped clothes to Dr. Banner. The clothes seemed unique to him. He brought it back with him to get a hint from where the nun-jas popped out.

The elevator door to the upper floor of the tower opened at this time.

"We got any leads?" Natasha Romanov said as she walked urgently toward the monitor. Behind her is Agent Barton.

"I want to hear again how a group of nuns kick Captain America's ass," Barton said as he walked to Steve and clasped hands together.

"Thank you for coming on such short notice," Captain said to Barton and Natasha. The widow just nodded from afar.

"We are the Avengers. Mess with one, you mess with all of us," Barton said.

If Ryan is here, he will yell, "Then why are there so many stand-alone movies? Explain that. Huh? Huhhh?!"

It is lucky for the missing mc that he is not there.

"Captain, where did you get this?" Bruce asked with a weird expression.

"This is a bra Cap. An 18th century… female brassiere…" Natasha chided as Steve pleaded the fifth.

"Cap, did you… rip off a nun's underwear?" Barton couldn't hold his smile.

"Okay. It might have come off during the battle. Can we focus back on finding Kai now?" Steve said sternly amidst the chuckling of the group.

Captain America and Hawkeye had done a few missions together under Shield after the war. They can joke with each other now after battling side by side together.

Tony brought back Steve to the Stark Tower – renamed Avenger's tower after the Chitauri invasion.

The masked man didn't follow them back as something else needed his attention. After Murdock knows who Steve really is, he entrusted the matter to the Avenger team that Kai is a part of.

The demon woman is gone when Tony and Steve look around the destroyed bar for her. She had disappeared under the nose of the three superheroes there.

The Avengers in the tower turned to look outside as they heard a jet sound. Tony had finally arrived after scanning the entire docks… twice.

"He is not there. I did find a woman trafficking gang. Our masked friend is there, beating the shit out of the kidnapper," Tony exclaimed as he got out of the suit and walked towards Bruce.

"What is this?" His attention turned toward the yellowish cloth that is undergoing DNA analysis and composition analysis on the table.

"A bra Captain ripped out from a nun," Bruce explained with a grin on his face.

"I didn't… Never mind," Steve surrendered to his fate.

"Any lead from Shield?" the Captain asked Natasha. The widow shakes her head slightly.

"Nothing. They are completely useless in the matter. The one who has the most experience dealing with the dark world is… that guy over there," Natasha pointed to the agent with the bow who is sipping coffee.

Barton noticed their stare at him. "What? I haven't slept for a while."

He continues drinking coffee as he too, is clueless. He fought demons before with Eclipse, but he was more of a cheerleader than a fighter.

"Not only him. There is someone else," Tony said unexpectedly.

"Who is it? Is it Ryan?" Bruce asked.

"Nope. It's the guy who had been kidnapped," Tony throws out a gesture on the hologram, and the battle video of Kai fighting an army of vampires is shown to the group.

The group is agape as they see the battle. With a flaming sword and a bloody body, Kai is facing the mutant vampires – the Reaper and exterminating the threat before it spreads to the whole world.

"This is why Shield is so scared of him," Barton said after realising it. Fury won't ever admit it, but he is extremely cautious when dealing with Kai because of this.

The group is reading the report of the battle, Kai's merit and the aftermath. People have different reactions to the events shown.

"Vampires exist?" Bruce asked, puzzled. His worldview is now shattered twice in only a month

"Well, God and Dragon exist. Vampires can exist too," Tony replied. After he saw the video, he too reacted like Bruce. Since then, his plan for Anti-Vampire armor has been ongoing.

"Cap, you sure Kai goes with them willingly?" Tony asked with concern. If Kai is gone, who will be the doctor for his pregnant girlfriend?

"Well. I am sure now," Steve answered with no hesitation now that he saw Kai's might. He always knew that Kai was strong. He never won when they sparred in the previous month.

Kai surrendered too easily when he got caught by the snakes. In the height of the battle, Steve didn't realize that it was a weird thing.

When he heard what the masked man said and thought back about the situation, he came to the conclusion that Kai willingly goes to them.

"Nat, what do you find?" Barton asked after Natasha was awfully quiet and was focusing on the report.

"... Kai may go willingly with them. That can be true… but we can't gamble on it. Barton is useless, but there is someone else we can ask."

"Who is it?" Steve is intrigued.

"Him, " Natasha enlarges the report with Blade's photo and shows it to the group.

In a hidden cave in Nevada. Water is dripping from the stalagmites on the cave ceiling, and the nun-jas and the prisoner have to get past a maze of routes to get to the base.

"I thought you guys will stay in Europe or something," Kai said as he stepped inside the hidden base with an extremely sturdy stone handcuff on his sculpture-like Greek god arms and a weighted cuff on his muscled leg.

His clothes had been ripped out to ensure no detection during the journey. He is wearing a tight kermit the frog t-shirt and short cargo pants. All his possessions were also thrown away - his rings, his watch, wallet, etc…

Not that it will get lost forever. A chameleon-like beast had been following the nuns group from the beginning in stealth mode, picking up all of those things inside its mouth.

The beast is staying 100 meter away from Kai, undetected by the nuns and even the female succubi.

The cave is modified to look like a temple. There is a sleeping quarter and a prison there. The facilities are dilapidated, The prayer hall takes up most of the area of the cave.

"They will never bring a stranger back to their main place," Shiklah replied to Kai. In the long journey on the back of a rental RV, the demon is the one who had been accompanying Kai in conversation.

She is too afraid of Kai to seduce him– he can have a conversation with a peace of mind. He did rather talk to the nun as the demon only wanted to talk about 18+ stuff.

However, the nuns had been forced to swear silence for their whole life. They can only speak when the Cardinal allows them too.

"We will wait for the Cardinal here, to make a decision. Until then, you are to cleanse yourself before entering the temple," Maria Laveau ordered.

The Cardinal, Isaiah Curwen is flying from the Vatican toward the place. He had some business with a few heretics in Europe who had dabbled themselves in magic. He started his journey after making sure that he had cleansed them of their sins — by sending them to God.

"Can a demon enter the temple?" Kai asked in curiosity as Shiklah was running around relaxed in the area.

"It's fine. I will be gone after the contract time is over," Shiklah replied. The contract is to help out for a day. She is to follow Maria for a day before she can go back — giving her much needed time to talk Kai into saving her coffin.

The nuns are leading Kai someplace. To cleanse him.

"A tub?" Kai muttered as he saw the wooden tub at the center of the room he was led to.

The nuns stripped him again, to his birthday suit this time. Pushing him inside the tub, the nuns start to scrub him of any impurities.

"Ladies, you don't…" Kai tries to stop them. Using bare hands instead of brushes, their smooth skin is running around every part of him. Every. Part. Of. Him.

"I can get used to this," Kai exclaimed as he started to enjoy the treatment. The nuns are blushing underneath their veil, some even ready to renounce their vow of keeping themselves for god as they cleaned up the angel. But then their Brainwashing kicked in, making them stoic again.

Even Maria is confused as to why the cleansing process is taking too long. She wanted to go check, but the nun came out of the room when she moved.

Changed into a white priest robe, Kai is chunked into a prison cell, waiting for his judgement.

The nuns then kneeled in the temple area, until they were needed again.

Kai is checking out the prison cell he is in. It is a simple jail cell. He even got a roommate there.

A man is chained to the wall of the cell, with a thick chain surrounding his body, keeping him completely immobile.

"Dude, what you do?" Kai asked the man as he got into a prisoner character. He sat next to the man, trying to catch his attention by waving his arm to his face.

"N… nothing… can you get me water please…" The man said with difficulty speaking. He hasn't had water for months now. He survived from the drops of water the stalagmites are dripping from the ceiling. His eyes are shut as there isn't any strength on his body.

Kai walked to the water bowl in front of the jail cell. However, his hand won't be able to get through the gap in the bar as he is handcuffed.

"Hmmm..." He rubbed his chin as he thought about some method. He can cut off the cuff on his hand anytime he wants. But it will alert the nuns. He still needs to wait until he meets the Cardinal the nun is talking about.

"Felicia is on the island. I can summon her here, but I can't send her back," Kai mutters.

"Corpsy is it then," He summoned the corpse vine, and it squirmed to get to the bowl. It nudges the bowl slowly toward the bar, and Kai picks it up after it gets near enough.

Kai approached the chained man and helped him to drink the water from the bowl.

The man coughed as he greedily gulped the water.

"Slowly... You need to go slow," Kai advised the man. After a prolonged dehydration, you should drink your fluid slowly.

"T- th... Thank you," the man said to Kai. His eyes are still closed because of malnutrition.

" Whats your name?"

"Jack... Jack Russell."

"I am Kai. Kai Vera. Why are they not feeding you?"

"They did before. But after I... Bit the neck of one of them...they don't anymore..."

Kai is surprised after hearing what the man said. The nuns are not feeding the man as a punishment.

Kai talked with the man for a while. He found out that there were a few prisoners with the chained man before. The man has been held there for almost a decade now.

"What did they do to the prisoner?"

"They asked them to repent. If they did, then they will grant them salvation..."

Basically when they repent, the nuns will take them to the temple, and let God be the judges of the prisoner. As God loved everyone, their repentance is accepted easily.

After that, the nuns make sure that they won't sin anymore, and send them to be with God.

"You still haven't told me why you are here?" Kai asked softly.

Jack hesitated for a while. Kai didn't push him to tell his life story. He just waited for the man to open up.

"I... was cursed. Every night... I will turn to something else..." Jack said after being silent for a while.

"You turned into...?" Kai nudges the answer.

"...A... Werewolf..."
