1 The Last Moment of True Happiness

I am awoken by the sound of my alarm clock. I roll over to look at the clock. "07:30 p.m." was displayed on the digital clock's screen. I groan, since I don't feel like I got enough sleep last night. Then again, I never do feel like I got enough sleep in the mornings. "Alright, up and at 'em." I say, as I force myself to get out of bed. I glance at a picture of me, and my friends gathered around a campfire in a forest. Joseph was strumming his guitar, Damien was drinking Pepsi, Alexandria seemed to be hunting, and I was just living my best life. I chuckle a bit. Then, I start to get ready for work.

I walk into the office building. The building is what my coworkers consider: "pleasantly warm." But I don't consider it that. There's nothing pleasant to me about how warm it is in here. It may seem like I'm overreacting, and maybe I am. But the fact is, I've always hated warmth. It's kind of funny how most people's paradise would be a tropical island, with a cool breeze... while my paradise would be somewhere cold. I guess I'm just weird.

I walk to my desk and get to work. To think, I could have been an electrical engineer. Whatever, the past is in the past, I guess.

Finally, it was time to go home. I logged out of the computer and walked out of the building. As I was about to get in my car, Alexandria walked up to me. "Oh, hey Alex. What are you doing here?" I ask. "Just out for a stroll..." She says. "A stroll that conveniently led to my job at the exact time I usually leave?" I ask. She chuckles. "Alright, I guess you caught me!" She says. "Truth be told... I just got a tad bit lonely, since Damien and Joseph went on that trip to Mount Everest." She adds. "Well, you're welcome to come to my place. I've been a bit lonely too." I say. She chuckles again. "That's what I was hoping you'd say!" She says. "Ladies first!" I say, gesturing towards the car. "Come on, Carter. I may physically be a woman, but we both know that between you and I, you act the most like a lady. So, if anything, you should get in first." Alexandria says, jokingly. Despite the fact that she was joking, it was actually kind of true. Everything that a guy would do, she does. Like: hunting, sports, and working on cars. Meanwhile, I hate hunting, I'm not into sports, and I lean more towards electrical engineering. I chuckle slightly. "Fine, fine." I say, as I open the car door, and get in. She gets in shortly after, and I start the car. "So, how's life been treating you, Carter?" Alexandria asks, as she puts her hands behind her head, and rests her feet on the dashboard. "Eh, decently... I've mainly just been working... It's been kind of... boring, in all honesty..." I say, not taking my eyes of the road. "Oh, I'm sure you've found ways to... entertain yourself." Alexandria says, implying something inappropriate. "Shut up!" I say, jokingly. "Come on, I know you do it! I've seen those magazines under your bed." She says. "YOU WENT SNOOPING THROUGH MY ROOM?!" I exclaim. "Maybe...~" She says. I can feel my face turn a bit red. "Listen, it's nothing to be ashamed of! I'm pretty sure all men have done it at some point!" Alexandria says. "I guess." I say. "Plus, maybe tonight you won't have to do it yourself...~" Alexandria says, flirtatiously. I can feel my face turn bright red. "Relax! I'm just teasing! You know I love to tease!" Alexandria says. "Y-yeah, I know." I say. "Could you please just let me drive now?" I ask. "Okay, okay!" She says.

Eventually, Alexandria and I get to my house. I unlock the door and walk into my house. "How is your place always so spotless?" Alexandria asks from behind me. I shrug. "I got to keep myself occupied somehow." I say. "I guess so..." She says. I can hear Alexandria close the door from behind me. I sit on the couch, and Alexandria sits beside me. "Ya know... I wasn't entirely teasing you earlier." Alexandria says. "H-huh?" I start to question, but she pushes me down and gets on top of me. "Something about you just drives me crazy. Maybe it's how nerdy and shy you are. I really don't know... All I know... is that... I want...-" Alexandria starts to say, before kissing me. This is my first ever kiss, and it feels... great. I can feel her hands slightly caress my cheeks. She stops kissing me for a moment and says "I know you're probably sensitive. So, I don't want to make the kiss too rough." Then, she goes back to kissing me. I softly put my arms around her neck. I get so lost in the feeling of the kiss... that I don't even know how much time is passing.

Eventually, Alexandria stops kissing me, and I bite my lip. "You're doing that thing where you bite your lip. Are you... aroused?" Alexandria says, before laughing. I start to blush. "Well, I mean, it makes sense. You didn't resist the kiss, after all. So, you obviously liked it." She says. "And that, more than likely, means... you like me, as well..." Alexandria adds, as her face gets closer to my face. I never noticed how beautiful her amber eyes are, until now. "You know... We could go to my bed! It's a lot more comfortable!" I say, attempting to flirt. "Were you trying to flirt with me, just then? No offense, Carter. But leave the flirting to me, okay?" Alexandria says. "Hmph! Fine!" I say, sounding like an angry toddler. "Don't take that tone with me, Mister!" Alexandria says, jokingly. Then, she chuckles slightly. "Seriously though, since you offered...!" She says, as she gets off of the couch, and grabs my hand. "Let's go to your room!" She says, grabbing my hand, and leading me to my room.

I lay down on my bed, and she lays down beside me. "So, how about we have sex?" She asks, abruptly. I blush heavily. "That's a bit out of the blue! I-I mean, I wouldn't mind! B-b-but it goes against my religion, and-" I start to say, but Alexandria interrupts me, saying "Calm down! Calm down! I just wanted to make you blush. We can just cuddle instead. I'm sure you'd like that!" Alexandria says. "Y-yes, I would!" I say. "Heheheh. Okay then... Come here!" Alexandria says, as she pulls me close to her. I put my arms around her neck, and eventually, I go to sleep.
