21 CHAPTER TWENTY ONE AM HERE FOR OUR UNFINISHED BUSINESS

The presenter who had given Tolu uninterrupted room to tell her story so far could not contained himself when he heard how Monica mindlessly shot herself in the foot, he cuts into Tolu's story with a comment and a question:

"How unthoughtful a person was that Monica of a girl, I believed she had no real trust in Richie, and even then common sense should teach her not to iron her dirty linen in the public, attacking a man publicly like that definitely will put him off. Was it this irresponsible action the reason Richie switched on to you?

"No, but it is possible that he may have been nursing such in him, you know the heart of men are deep." Tolu replied and the presenter asked further, "But with what I know about men falling in love, if he had been nursing such you would have seen traces of it in his relationship towards you, did you not notice anything?"

"Sir, you know I was innocent about such things then because I was a bit young and inexperienced in love matters, it is possible that he showed those signs truly and I was blind to it. But what really made him to switch over completely unto me was what Monica later did in the evening of that day" Tolu said and the presenter asked, "What did she do?"

Tolu answered, "She came to fight me in our house and it was a real mess that night for her!"

The presenter exclaimed, "That lady must be drunk with envy, she came to beat you up in your house? Were your parents not at home?

Actually, she was the one who got trashed by me, " Tolu answered. You beat her, was she not older and stronger than you?" The presenter asked.

Tolu answered, "Of course, she was older than me, but stronger she was not, though she came with the mind that she would beat me up like a baby, but she met with the shock of her life!"

Tell me how the whole thing happened, "The presenter required and Tolu continued. "When she got to our house for her evil intention, It coincided with the time my mother was returning from her shop and they entered together.

My mom was surprised to see her and she warmly asked her why she was in our house, she tricked my mom that she just want to have a friendly private chat with me, and she asked to be shown to my room.

Then my mom called that Monica was here to see me and she was on her way to my room. When I heard that, I instinctively knew she came to fight and got up from my bed to meet her on the way, but I got to the door too late.

She entered into my room without knocking at the door and pushed me rudely back inside, then she locked my door from inside , removed the key and put it in her jeans trouser's pocket. Then she said, " I am here for our afternoon unfinished business "

I told her that I have no business with her and she replied me with a slap to my face, my face stung from the hard slap and my upper lip split open and blood sipped out.

She said, "Tell me again that you have no business with me when you are sleeping around with my man" While she was saying this, I was sitting on my bed in shock holding my hurting face. Then I saw her lifting her jeans blouse and she was drawing something out that she hid under it.

She said, "I am here to whip you till you will faint and I will take you to the hospital and spend money on you, with that you will keep your dirty hands off my man, at that point I saw what she was drawing out of from beneath her blouse, it was horsewhip.

Seeing that I knew I must act fast or else this lady will give me wound. So I sprung forward with full force and headbutt her on her face, she was blinded immediately with the impact and I snatched the horsewhip from her hand.

Her mouth and nose too were broken with my headbutt, before she could regained her composure, I pounced on her with her horsewhip, the beaten I gave her was too much.

At first she tried to struggle with me, but she soon discovered that I am a student of martial art because I joined martial art club in university.

When the beaten got to head for her she cried out and begged that my mom should come and saved her from my hand that I was about to kill her, when my mother heard her cry she rushed to my place but met the door locked.

She demanded that I should open the door and I told her that the key was with her, that she was the one who locked the door with foolish thought that she could whipped me.

To cut the story short mom demanded that I should stop the beaten so that she could open the door and I did, when she opened the door she was bruised all over.

My mom asked her why she came to our house to fight me and lied to her that she came for a friendly chat? She could not say anything other than I was the cause of it, that I was snatching her man from her.

Then I told mom what happened earlier in the office and she was shocked, she told her that she was highly disappointed in her for been such an ingrate. She rebuked her dearly for her foolishness of coming to another person's house to fight and she ended her reprimand by saying, she supposed to hand her over to the police, but because we were people of peace she would let her go to nurse her bruises.

Monica left our house that night disappointed and disgraced" The presenter commented, "That was a good lesson for her, sometimes people who belittled others based on inappropriate assessment needs this kind of lesson that she got.

By this stage in the programme they looked at the clock and saw that the airtime for the day has expired, so they close the show with the presenter asking the people to do the usual if they still want Tolu to return tomorrow to continued her story
