10 CHAPTER TEN THE DISGRACED MAYOR IS THEIR STRATEGIST

Since the big face slap sent the Mayor out of the courtroom with the shredded ego, he has not been seen in the public, even all the official functions that demanded his presence were cancelled. His in-laws came with shame to beg for their daughters but he chased them away like leprous people that could contaminate his house!

However, that he is not seen in the public does not mean that he locked himself behind a bemoaning door of his bedroom, away from the prying mocking eyes of the public. Even if he wants to do so, he can't because he believed he must monitor what is going on in the court, so that the kid wonder lawyer will not turn the city upside down while he is not watching.

To him, this kid lawyer is a dangerous pest and cankerworm that wants to destroy what he has laboured for in this city. So he must monitor him without him been aware that he is been monitored, and he is blessed with the asset to monitor him.

Of course, the whole city did not know of this asset, because he cunningly set it in place when he newly became the city's Mayor. Before his tenure the city court complex was a gory site, but the moment he became the Mayor he renovated and remodelled the complex which has five courtroom and ten offices.

When the remodelling finished, the complex was expanded to have ten ICT compliance courtroom and thirty offices; and the complex became one of the city's architectural wonder!

The complex is on the same ground with the city council complex that housed the Mayor's office, though the council complex was in the very center of this parcel of land, the court complex on its own was on the left side of the land.

Every citizen of this great city greatly loved this Mayor for this remodelling that brought them pride! The city Judicial council even wrote an official letter of appreciation to him. But unknown to them that he did it to have influence on all the cases that will concern his political mission as the Mayor of the city.

For when he was preparing to build the complex, he awarded the computerisation work to a firm from a foreign country and those people were instructed to install spying cameras all over the complex.

And they built a secret monitor room in his office. With this, there is no discussion in any office or the entire court complex that can escape him. He had spied on Many lawyers that had cases against the city for the citizens, he watched as they strategize and advised his council lawyers how to tackle them down.

All the lawyers in the city's prosecution office sees him as a very knowledgeable person in law issues, but they did not know he is getting his information directly from spying on the oppositions through the hidden cameras installed all over the complex.

SAN Terror is privy to this, so also is this very judge; that is why he always get most of the city cases. Of course SAN Terror has been a terror in court before the Mayor's term, but since he became the Mayor SAN Terror has become an invincible beast in the court , until this kid wonder lawyer showed up and brought him down from his high horse!

So, now that disgrace has banished the Mayor from the street, he relied on his most valuable asset to monitor the proceedings in the court. He would wake up early and locked himself in his office, only his trusted secretary have access to him, and he always returned home in the cover of the dark night.

However, something has been bordering him about this baby lawyer, he behaved as if he knew that the court is fitted with spying cameras, he never discussed with his clients in the complex as other lawyers used to do; once he finished his argument in the court, he often rushed out of the complex to hold talks with his clients on the open field.

Right now, his concern with the case is to know exactly where this strange boy is heading to with this case, so he was glued to the monitor in his office, he watched as Sir Boripe told told his story of how he was robbed and trepidation gripped his bowel!

Watching how rapturous the people were with Boripe's story he knew these people were up to no good, and in some kind of way they must be stopped.

However, Sir Boripe is not a man he can take on, most especially now that they are approaching the election season. Boripe will pull strings that will wipe of his political stand if he suspect that he tamper with this case.

While he was thinking this, an idea leaped up in his trouble mind and he held unto this idea as the only life line, because of this idea he waited for the court to go on recess so that he can put a call through to the judge and SAN Terror.

Once the judge got into his office he called him and told him that they need to break the tempo of this case because it's generating too much followers that do not support our plans, He suggested that they must proceed on long time adjournment so that the stirred up raves of this case can die down

To this the judge agreed, and he even suggested that they should kill the case because it is not in any way helping them to score political points as they planned, rather it's taking points off them.

The Mayor asked him how he think they can kill the case? The judge said, "You will need to pay our randy fool a visit and compel him to write a withdrawal letter that he is no more interested in pursuing justice.

When the Mayor heard this he agreed to it as the right thing to do.

So, as the court resumed, SAN Terror too who has been given instruction harried Boripe to finish his story, then he aksked for long adjournment so that he can study Sir Boripe's story and things surrounding it, but the people did not know it was the result of his discussion with the Mayor; and the judge agreed and put the case on two months adjournments.
