6 CHAPTER SIX SAN TERROR AND KID WONDER LAWYER AT EACH OTHERS THROAT

Tolu was arrested with a ganged up plan orchestrated by the Mayor to subject her to mental and emotional torture that will weaken her fighting spirit in the police custody, so that they will ride over her in the courtroom. On top of this, the Mayor had assigned this case to his friend who also is an admirer of Richie, because Richie was in charge of the audits of the city's prosecution's account; and he is the city's chief prosecutor.

His name is Omoni Alani, he has attained the highest ranked a lawyer could attained in the nation, so he is a senior advocate of the nation; but he is popularly known in the legal world as SAN TERROR because he is a terror to confront in the courtroom!

He is a man in his sixties, grey headed and skinny, not in any way handsome and he liked to use his ugly face intentionally to scare people he comes against in the courtroom. When he is coming into the courtroom he will wear his glasses and draw it to the tip of his nose, and he looked at people in the questioning box from the top of the rim of his glasses like some old professors with glinting wicked grin!

However, the gang against Tolu were shocked to see that Tolu came fully prepared for the legal war, for before they brought her to the city's police headquarters a lawyer was already waiting for them to get her out of their clutches.

This lawyer is the only man on earth that had defeated SAN Terror in the courtroom and he is a rookie, the law world nick named him "The Kid wonder lawyer" because of this victory over SAN Terror. And to SAN Terror that defeat was a dirty slap to his glory self, and he is still battling with the shame of this when he heard that this jolly just come rookie is at the police headquarters again trying to secure the release of Tolu!

He immediately rushed to the place, but on getting there the kid wonder lawyer has secured the release of Tolu and they were about to go out and prepared for the hearing proper in the court. SAN Terror barged in without decorum asking, "Who asked you to release this lady? The kid wonder lawyer did not allowed the police to answer as he threw a question on SAN Terror, " Sir will you let your client be detained without a trial beyond six hours for such a squabble that we need not even trouble the law court over?

SAN Terror was visibly enraged hearing his question, he turned to him and said, "I do not address myself to you, do not insult me with interruptions, otherwise I will let you know what it means to be a SAN and that a rookie like you should hold his tongue when a man like me is talking"

The young lawyer smiled and said, "My learned friend, I believe you are aware that the constitution of this country doesn't agree with your stand that status empowered men of status to speak and others hold their tongue as slaves, and if you believe that, when we meet in court tell me to hold my tongue sir"

SAN Terror unconsciously lifted his hand to his beardless chin, smiled and said, "You seem to be running beyond your legs kid, watch your front because pride have a way of crutching disrespectful over night achievers" The kid lawyer said, "Thanks for your golden advise sir, see you on the floor tomorrow" SAN Terror looked at him and saluted him with two fingers raised as if he is holding a pistol, he said, "Enjoy your rising kid!"
