He released my hand from his grip, when he realized I wouldn't back down. He turned around and reached his phone and tapped it a few times before placing it near his ear. It seems like his calling someone, he's near me but I couldn't hear him because of the noise around us. Seconds passed as he was conversing on his phone, he walked straight to the exit without giving me any glance. And there was me, left standing and confused of what just happened.

I looked around to find my seat, while going back I noticed we caught a couple of people's attentions. I felt like a melting ice cube. The feeling of wanting to dig a hole and hide in there forever because of embarrassment.

I fought the urge to cover my face with my hands. Instead, I walked slowly towards the table and picked-up my things, shoved everything in my bag and walked out like nothing has ever happened.

When I was confident that I am far enough from that place, I ran off as fast as I can even without any idea where to go. Then I stopped when I hardly can't breathe anymore. When I looked up, I found myself in the school's field. It was peaceful. The place feels so serene though there a couple of people that you could hear talking it wasn't noisy at all.

The ambiance felt so nice, so I nestle in an empty hut at the side of the wide field. I started to take out my things again, but instead to chill out I decided to study for my upcoming exams.

"God! Drake where is she?" He exclaimed out of frustration.

"I don't know? I just left her there. I didn't saw this coming."

"Where could she be right now?" he roamed his eyes around to search for the girl I took a tug-of-war game in the cafeteria. I can sense exhaustion in him. I can see large droplet of sweat tracing down his face. I have never seen him like this before. Even if Mom threatens him, he wouldn't care at all. He's a cold man. His past relationships didn't bloom at all because of this attitude of him that hates to be grounded.

"Is that her?" he whispered and slowly approached a girl in a hut wearing earphones and reading books. Her side is facing us, so I am not that sure if it was really her.

It's so rare to see my brother's face brighten up. The exhaustion was gone in a zap when he confirmed that it was Jane.

"Thank God !!!" I lift my hands into the sky. I felt so relieved. I know I would get a sermon from him later when we got home, but at least my sin would be lessen a bit since, we found her. Or should I say, "he found her".

Before totally getting near her, he changed to his usual aura. He approached her, and she slowly lifted her face. WHAT A NERD. I better get out of here and just wait for them at the car.

"yes!"

"come on." I said flatly.

"uuuuhhmmm are you with the guy who suddenly reached my arm at the cafeteria?..... you know what, if you're going to kidnap I am already telling you it's not worth it because even if you kill me, my parents can't afford to give you a ransom money. And to answer your invitation, no I'm sorry. I don't go with strangers though I normally talk to them." After saying that, she immediately goes back to reading and ignored me.

Playing sassy huh. Very talkative as usual.

"aunt, your daughter won't come with us. Could you do something about it?" I texted her Mom.

Seconds later, her phone rang. It must be her mom talking to her, she looked at me blankly and a minute after she started packing her things and stand up.

"you're francis...my future husband? HI!" she said casually. She reached her hands in front of me as if expecting for a hand shake. And so I did, just to be polite.

"mom said, you are going to send me home, let's go. I have a lot of things to do." It was evident in all of the books she was holding and those inside her bag with a lot of colorful bookmarks.

"Yes MAAM!" I smirked and lead her the way like a gentleman, but not enough to carry her things.
