23 Chapter 023: Girl’s Sleepover

Kanna, Yoko and Yui decided to hold a sleepover together. They didn't really have a reason for doing so other then just wanting to do it. After the meeting at the ice cream stand Kanna and Yoko had started to get closer to each other. They were now at a stage that they could consider each other friends. This led to Yoko learning of Higura's nice guy side and Kanna learning more of Higura's delinquent side. Yoko was the first to talk out of the three.

"So, what do you want to do?"

"Hmmm…Does anyone here bake?"

"I've done it sometimes. Why?"

"Recently I've been in the mood to bake so I thought we could all bake together! Is that a no?"

"Of course we can! I'm not a master baker so I can't guarantee anything actually edible but I will do my best!"

"Haha…I'll just get my hopes up to not burn the house down…"

"Huh? What did you just say?"

"Nothing. Shall we get started?"

They went to Kanna's kitchen and started to bake some cookies. Some came out severely burnt but they were still having a lot of fun baking together. Yui was the best baker out of all of them so she handled making the dough, Yoko did the shapes and Kanna did the final designs.

"All done!"

They finished a large batch of cookies and bagged some of them so they could give them to their friends at school some.

"Are you giving them to anyone special to you?"

Yui had asked a question to the other 2 girls who didn't know what to say and turned red when they started thinking about the person they considered special. Yoko was the first to answer her question except it was with another question.

"A-Are you giving them to anyone?!"

"Yes I am, I plan on giving them to Higura."

"O-Oh really?"

Her voice had suddenly gone very high pitch when she started talking again.

"Well, he's my caretaker so I want to repay him I'm someway."

"S-So that's what you meant! Okay, okay, you're permitted then!"

"…Permitted for what exactly?"

"Eh…For giving them to…Higura…"

Yoko had gone quiet while Kanna was just standing awkwardly in the back. She then began to speak to the others after Yoko had gone back to being her usual self.

"So, is there anything you guys would like to do?"

The girls continued to do all sorts of things during the time that they were together up until it became dark out. They rolled out futons in Kanna's living room and went to sleep. But they first talked for a bit before doing so. Yui was the first to ask a question.

"Do any of you have someone you like?"

"Eh?! O-Of course I do! I mean I do have boys flocking around me so of course there's one that I would like!"

"Really? I do to. I haven't known him for very long but he's been extremely kind to me."

"O-Oh really now? Who is it?"

"Higura."

"Eh? Eh?! You like Higura?!"

"Yes? Is there a problem with that?"

"…N-No not necessarily…"

"Could it be that you like him too?"

"W-Where did you get that conclusion from! Y-You're wrong! Definitely, entirely wrong!"

"Hm? I have a feeling that if the lights were on you'd be best red. There's nothing to hide here, I would just have to consider you as a rival."

"R-Rival? You a rival? Ha! I laugh, as if I would see you as a fellow competitor!"

"You just basically admitted to liking Higura."

"H-How?! I didn't say anything that could hint at that!"

"You just confirmed my suspicions even more."

She gave a small giggle as she was able to discover Yoko's crush. Yoko eventually gave up at trying to hide it.

"Y-Yeah…I like…I like him too…"

"I thought so. What about you Kanna?"

"Haha…It's embarrassing to say but I guess you've said yours…It a only fair if I say mine as well. I…I like Higura! I like him too!"

"So we all like the same person? I guess both of you are my rivals then."

"Likewise. I look forward to our future battles."

"Same here. What about you Yoko? Do you consider the both of us rivals?"

"…I guess so…May the best girl win I guess…A-Although it's not like I'm going to lose! He obviously will fall for me first!"

"Then I'll counter that fact."

"Egh!"

They began to laugh together and talked for a little longer before going to bed.

"A-A-Achoo!"

They all sneezed together at the same time.

"Could there be someone talking about us?"

"I don't know, but the fact we all sneezed together seems a little too in line…Oh well, I guess it doesn't really matter. Night!"

"Goodnight to you as well."
