22 Chapter 022: Boy’s Sleepover

Higura, Sota, Hayate and Goro decided to have a sleepover together. It was a chance for them to study together but of course other things would begin to distract them. Once they stepped into Higura's house Goro saw Rain.

"Is this your cat?"

"Yeah, her name is Rain. I found her injured when it was raining out and decided to take her in."

"How heroic."

"If you're making fun of me I would ask that you please don't."

"I wasn't! I wasn't!"

"Okay, I guess we'll grab some things from my room first."

They all headed up to Higura's room and when they went inside they grabbed a foldable table, paper, pencils and Hayate grabbed Higura's Nintendo Wii U which had been sitting on one of his shelfs.

"Why do we need that?"

"Who knows? Maybe we'll need to take a break sooner or later…Or battle it out with Smash as our deciding factor?"

"…Whatever, just be sure to not drop my game pad."

"You can count on me!"

They carried everything they needed downstairs and were about to start working when Sota brought up a topic.

"Hey, what do you put on your wings?"

"Huh?"

"I mean, what do you put on your wings? I'm in the mood, maybe I'll order some soon."

"I'm going to ignore that for now…"

"It's not like your answer would have impacted anything, I would still order wings."

"Okay, thank you for your very informative input on wings."

Hayate cut into the conversation soon after it had begun. "You know I'm now also in the mood for some wings. Can we order some before we begin?"

"…Do what you want."

"Yay!"

Hayate and Sota both shouted together and went to order some wings. After they had ordered the wings they walked back to the table and officially started studying. It didn't last long however since they were eventually brought off topic again, this time by Goro.

"As I haven't known the 2 of you for very long, would you care to tell me some of your interests?"

"Sure I guess. I like reading, anime, games and writing."

"What kinds of stories do you write about?"

"Well I've mainly written romance but recently dabbled in a dark fantasy genre."

"I can't I'm the same, I'm utter garbage at writing…So I envy you!"

Once again the conversation died and they went back to studying. The next person to interrupt the studying was Hayate.

"You wanna play some Smash?"

"…I guess a few rounds wouldn't hurt."

They then lost track of time and dinner time came around. Hayate and Sota had finished their wings but were still hungry so they still wanted dinner.

"I have microwaveable ramen. Is that good for everyone?"

"Aww, why don't you cook for us?"

"If I cooked…Let's just say you guys probably wouldn't wake up in the morning…"

"Cup Ramen's fine!"

They all took a cup and began to eat the Ramen that had just come out of the microwave. Sota once again cut in.

"I think it's better to just ignore studying, it's so late now."

"Yes I agree."

"Me too."

"Me three."

Something they all shared in common was their shared hatred for studying. They stopped with the studying and just played games for a few more hours until they thought it was time to go to bed.

Higura rolled out guest futons for the 3 of them while he stayed in his bed. They all got set for bed and crawled in their futons.

"Hey."

Sota had cut in once again.

"Do any of you have someone you like?"

Hayate was the first to answer.

"You already know who it is! Why do I have to answer?"

"I never said you had to answer. Just wondering, recently I've actually fallen for someone as surprising as it may be."

"Really? Who is it?"

"Makoto."

Goro was the next to cut in.

"From the student council?"

"Yeah. I don't really know when, but I fell for her. I know that much for a fact."

"Really? I never actually thought you'd fall for someone."

"Yeah…I don't think it's the right time to confess yet so I'm going to hold off for now. Do you have a crush Goro?"

"Nope. I've never had one. At this rate I don't think I will ever fall for someone."

"We'll I hope you succeed some point in the future. What about you Higura?"

Higura now gave his answer.

"No, I've never had a crush and don't think that I'm falling for someone anytime soon."

"Really? You have 3 cute…Oh wait, I guess it's 4 now since there's Yui now. Such a waste for you to not fall for any of them."

"Im not looking for romance right now."

"And yet you're a known romance author…Doesn't seem to add up."

"Just because I like to write the genre doesn't mean I'm actively searching for it."

"Yup yup…Still who knows how long it will be that way?"

"Huh?"

"Anyway, I'll see you all in the morning, night."

Sota flipped over in his futon and was now falling asleep. The others were also beginning to fall asleep so Higura also started trying to sleep.

"A-A-Achoo! Is someone talking about me?"
