12 Chapter 012: Science and Cola

Sato-San was sitting in his classroom and wasn't really paying any attention to the lesson. It was science, one of his better subjects. The teacher was the famous Sakamoto Atsuko, the youngest teacher(22) in the school and was also pretty good looking. Almost all of the guys were paying attention for other reasons then the lesson. Sato-San still chose to not pay attention and come up with new plot points for his novels, but he did overhear some of the other students talking.

"Man, she could be perfect. If only she wasn't insane when it came to science."

"Yeah, she has a nice rack too, shame I'll never be able to grab it."

'Haaah, this is why I prefer to be alone. I would hate it if my friends just suddenly brought up a girl's chest. I mean, this is also our teacher, it's kind of strange.'

He continued to try and think up more plot points and jotted down some notes until he saw a shadow appear on his desk.

"Huh?"

He looked up to see Sakamoto-Sensei standing in front of him. He looked around and saw that all the other students were looking at him.

"What's the problem?"

"What's more interesting then my lesson Sato-San?"

"No need to say, it's just that I'm good with this subject and don't need to expense that much more into it for the time being."

"Oh really?"

'That was stupid of me to say.'

"Will you come see me at the end of the school day?"

"Egh! W-Woah whoah, it's fine! I don't need to come, I swear it's fine."

"You're not getting out of this, come see me after school."

'Dammit. That just cut into my writing time.'

Class continued and when the end of the came he headed to Sakamoto-Sensei. He entered the science lab and saw her sitting at one of the tables mixing something. He walked over but she was so focused on what she was doing that she didn't notice Sato-San walk in.

"Hello?"

"Ah!"

She jumped back and almost fell down but managed to catch herself. She looked over at Sato-San and quickly put on a face of excitement.

"Oh! come here, come here! I'm going to need your help with something."

"U-Uh, Okay?"

He walked over and looked at what she was mixing, it was carbonated and had a brownish red color. The smell was familiar, then he finally realized what it was, it was Cola.

"Um? What do you need my help with?"

"This."

She plopped a mento into his hand and he just stared at it. He eventually looked up at her.

"Um? What do you want me to do?"

"Boo, it should be easy to tell."

"Yeah, but why do I have to do it?"

"Science. Im sure with you being so good in science that you know what happens when you put a mento in a carbonated drink."

"Of course. Primarily, the sugar, aspartame and potassium benzoate included in the mento reduce the work it takes to form bubbles in the soda, causing a rapid creation of carbon dioxide bubbles. These ingredients accelerate the foaming action of the soda very quickly, causing the infamous explosion." 'I need to make this sound as intelligent as possible so I can get out of here faster!'

"You could have just said it explodes."

"Ugh, I just wanted to make it sound as intelligent as possible."

"Hm. Well, there was no need to since I can devise that you have a basic understanding that it will indeed explode."

"Haaah…When can I leave?"

"After you put the mento in the cola, then I'll let you leave after one last thing."

"Fine."

He walked over to where the cola was and dropped the mento in. The cola began to fizz and soon after let out an explosion.

'Bigger than I expected. Wonder if she did anything to increase its volume.'

"So what did you think?"

"Huh?"

"Of the cola explosion?"

"Um…I guess it's bigger than I expected?"

"Hm hm. I did make that cola especially for just this, it was made to make the explosion bigger than if it was a normal cola."

"Okay? Does this mean I can leave now?"

"…Yeah, I got what I wanted anyway."

Sato-San walked out of the lab while waving and closed the door behind him. Sakamoto-Sensei then went over to her desk.

"Aaaahhhh!!!! I did it! I finally got my top student to see me! Haaah, if he wasn't paying attention today I couldn't have made up an excuse to see him after school. I'm surprised he was able to see such a small change in the explosion, any normal person wouldn't have been able to. He definitely is a rare find, if only he was true to his feelings and didn't use that fake persona…I wonder when he'll outgrow that."

She leaned back in her chair while thinking about things related to Sato-San.

"I wonder how I could get to see him more…He could help make my lessons more interesting, although I doubt he'd help me out like that. Oh well. Maybe one day in the future."

While she was saying all this Sato-San was being held hostage down the hall by Fukuhara-San once again as she tried to seduce him yet again.
