2 Chapter 002: His Time Spent At Home

Sato-San continued to walk home using his phone to continue writing his novel. He was still struggling because he wasn't able to find a reference because of Shiratori-San talking with him while he was in the Library.

"I need to get this done soon…Guess I'll do an all nighter tonight."

He reached his house and walked inside to be greeted by his sister who was a year younger than him.

"Hey there Higura-Niisan! Would you like dinner? A bath? Or would yo-"

"Not happening. How did you even know I was here? This is earlier than I normally get here."

"I will always know when your going to be here! There is no doubt that I would be wrong or not greet you when your walking in."

"That just makes you sound like a stalker. Well, I'm going to my room now. When I get hungry I'll take something."

He waved to her, went upstairs and took out his laptop to continue writing. He spent about an hour writing and decided to take a break for a bit. He grabbed a remote, turned on his TV and started catching up on some anime that he was taking a break from. He watched 2 episodes and started thinking of his meeting with Shiratori-San.

'What's going to happen now? She's obviously going to approach me…'

He rolled on his bed to look at his light novels and manga that he had bought over the years. Among them he had the ones that he had written. He took out the one that Shiratori-San said she had not read yet. It was one of his most recent ones, he had released about 5 weeks ago.

'Maybe it won't be that bad…Who am I kidding? I can't use my fake persona in front of her since we'll be in class where people already think that I'm a jerk, it's gonna be weird if they suddenly see me being nice and helpful…'

He rolled back to turn off his TV and rolled back to continue looking at his novel. He opened it and flipped through some of the pages.

'She said she didn't own this one yet…I could sign it and say I had met him recently and was able to get some of my books signed…Wait wait wait! That would just make me seem even more nice and her probably becoming closer! Although maybe I could use it as a bribe…Like I'd do that! That sounds way to jerky, maybe if she didn't know about my true persona I could have done that but I can't just flip a switch and be mean to her all of a sudden!'

He stood up and walked over to his desk and plopped the book down, he took out a pen and signed it with Sato Makoto.

'Guess it could be a nice gift…I suppose if this doesn't get out of hand it would be nice to hear feedback from a close fan and possible friend…Can never let her find out though, who knows what will happen.'

He put the book into his school bag and walked downstairs to grab a bite to eat before starting to write again. He made it down the stairs and was ambushed by his sister causing him to jolt.

"Finally getting something to eat?"

"Yeah, only something small though."

"Come on, you should eat more, I made it especially for you."

She looked at him with puppy like eyes while acting shy trying to get him to eat more but he knew an easy way out.

"Dad's also going to be eating it, so it's not just for me."

"He can microwave something in the fridge."

"Wow, that was a lot crueler of an answer than I was expecting."

"My cooking is only for you and there are no exceptions."

'Why of all things does she have a brother complex? I don't even understand what's great about me anyway.'

He walked past her and went into the kitchen to grab a small plate of curry and walked back up to his room to make up for lost time talking with his sister. He finished the plate in about 10 minutes while working on his novel at the same time, he was about halfway finished at this point. He set the plate aside and began to focus hard on writing, but was interrupted by his father who had just come home from work and opened the door to Sato-San's room.

"Hey dad, I'm working on my writing and my deadline is coming up, is it something that needs to be said or asked now?"

"Ah, no. I just wanted to see what you were doing, I'll let you go back to work now."

"Alright, thank you. We'll talk tomorrow."

His dad closed the door and Sato-San went back to writing, he wrote for about 6 hours after that, his clock read 11:43PM.

'Guess I'll go to sleep, I do need to be awake for tomorrow so I can give Shiratori-San the book and not make it seem like I blew her off.'

He stood away from his desk, changed his clothes into a more comfortable sleep wear and walked over to lay down in his bed. He looked over at the suspense novel he had bought so he could get better with that writing style and decided to read some of it.

'I guess it won't hurt to read a bit.'

He read the book and by the time he finished he had passed out at 4:57AM.
