1 Xia Xingchen is Pregnant

"Bleh!"

Xia Xingchen squatted beside the toilet bowl and dryly vomited since her stomach didn't feel well.

"Big missy, are you alright?" When the maid heard puking sounds, she hurried to her and patted her back.

The commotion was massive and it had caused Xia Xingkong to walk out from the other room. Once Xia Xingkong saw her state, she immediately squatted down and concernedly asked, "Big sister, have you eaten anything bad?"

Xia Xingchen had no energy to reply to her younger stepsister and instead reached out to flush the toilet. She already had no energy to stand up, but she started to feel discomfort in her stomach again the moment she wanted to get out.

Xia Xingchen let her boyfriend, Xu Yan, accompany her to the hospital.

They proceeded to the gastroenterology department. However, the doctor redirected her to the gynecology department.

"I… My girlfriend and I haven't even gone that far!" Xu Yan's face was flushed red as he explained.

The doctor adjusted his glasses and looked at Xu Yan before glancing at Xia Xingchen who was equally shocked. Trying to imply something, he said, "Then, you have to ask your girlfriend about what happened. If you have not gone that far with her, maybe she did it with another person?"

Xu Yan froze.

The doctor's words struck him like a hammer.

He turned and looked towards Xia Xingchen in disbelief.

Xia Xingchen froze as she thought back to the incident that happened two months ago…

It was late at night.

In a sophisticated bungalow, Xia Xingchen lay on the bed in a daze.

The door was suddenly pushed open and many people entered the room. They stood up straight at the door entrance and welcomed the man who then walked on the carpet.

The whole room was dark. Xia Xingchen tried her best to open her eyes to try and get a glimpse of that person, but she could only make out a brief image of a man with tall built amid the darkness. Under the moonlight, she could vaguely feel the man's large presence which made one subconsciously bow down in fear.

"Is it her?" the man asked in his deep voice.

"Yes, your Excellency. She is the only candidate from the blood bank."

The man waved his hand and the people who had just entered immediately retreated in silence as though they never appeared.

Xia Xingchen came back to her senses and looked at Xu Yan. She shook her head and her lips quivered. "I… I haven't done that sort of thing with any man…"

That was clearly an affirmative sentence yet she was clearer than anyone about the unsureness in her heart. If she did conceive a child, the only explanation was that night…

It was not a dream!

"Okay, okay. You're not a saint so how can you bear the fruits without even planting the seeds? Think about it carefully. Did your period not come for a long time, did you have trouble sleeping, or are you dizzy recently?"

"…" The array of questions rendered Xia Xingchen speechless.

It was so realistic that she felt as though she was run down by a car and her body ached all over. She was even drenched in a cold sweat.

It was so realistic that she could recall that man's aggressive hormones and even… his cold eyes that didn't emit any warmth.

That pair of black pupils was noble, peaceful, and yet mysterious…

He was high up in the air and considered everyone beneath him as though he did not belong to her world. There should not be such a man in real life!

Hence, Xia Xingchen was even more sure that it was a dream. It was just a dream!

But where did this child come about?!
