9 Chapter Nine

Back at the pack house, Liam, my mom, Austin, Mara and I all sat in the living room talking.

"You mean to tell me her father was not only wolf, but part witch?!" My mom shouted shocked.

"Warlock but yes ma'am. You guys knew he was a bad person. But you weren't aware of how bad he really was." Liam said.

"When my father died I was devastated. I knew he wasn't a good guy but he was my father. Now you're telling me, I'm not human, I'm part wolf part witch?!"

"When your dad died Luna, we celebrated. We were happy. He broke in Liams house one night and tried killing him in his sleep, because he wanted the power he held. His position."

At this point I didn't care if he was my father or not, trying to hurt someone because of greed?! Especially that someone being Liam? That's messed up. It's not right.

"Now is probably a bad time, but Liam before we left, I swore I seen someone in my room. I wasn't sure though." After what I had just found out, I really wasn't sure who it may have been in my room. I'd learned a lot over these last couple of days, and the last thing I wanted was to find out that my life could be in danger.

"That would have been me shorty." Austin says.

"I was in there setting up a prank."

"A prank?" I asked confused.

"Yes tiny. A prank. Your future husband and I have an ongoing prank war, which I unfortunately am losing. So I was trying to get back at him, by sneaking into your house and getting your smell all over my clothes because I knew it'd not only piss him off, but drive him insane trying to figure out why I smell like you."

"However, he didn't get to go through with it because I could smell him outside your house," Liam spoke.

"BUT HE WAITED UNTIL I GOT INSIDE BEFORE HE MIND-LINKED ME AND TOLD ME HE SEEN ME!" Shouted Austin.

Eventually we had gotten everything figured out, well, as best we could. There was a lot of tension in the air, I felt like I was going to suffocate. I had to get out of this house.

"Liam, can we go for a run? Winter is getting restless, and so am I." I begged.

"Yeah sure. Lucifer is dying to see Winter again anyway." He sounded off. Like something was really wrong with him. I figured it probably had something to do with the conversation we just had.

We made our way to the clothing room. Yes. Room. This wasn't just a small closet. No. This was a whole ass bedroom FULL of clothes. Liam explained that this room is for everyone to grab clothes before they go on a run, this way when they shift, the clothes they have on they can just sit them on the ground, so when they get dirty, they can put the new clothes on, and take the dirt ones back to the pack house to get cleaned once they shift back to human form.

Once we got outside, I hid behind a tree, took off my clothes, and shifted into Winter. It hurt this time, but not as bad as it did when I first shifted. This time I could handle it.

When I came out from behind the tree, I seen Lucifer. He growled then stood next to me. His wolf towered over mine.

We started to run, grazing through the trees, smelling the fresh air, feeling it blow through my fur. We kept running for hours. Eventually we came into an area with an amazing view. It was a cliff, overlooking a giant river, the sun shining beautifully over the water. Glimmering in the light. I could smell the salt in the air. Standing next to Lucifer looking over the water like this felt great. Felt right. I laid down over the hill, Lucifer laid next to me, put his head on my back, and before I knew it, we both drifted off to sleep with the beautiful view in front of us. Maybe one day we'll over look this view with our future family.
