118 Uneasy

Over the next few days Hazel worked on two different paintings down in the art room. One was inspired by the view Will had shown her while they were snowmobiling and the other was by what she could see from the back porch.

Those took up the majority of her time during the day but the second Will got home she was hardly allowed out of bed. He insisted that he needed to soak up as much love as possible before they were apart for a week.

It made her roll her eyes because he had obviously survived much longer than that without her before. At the same time it made her feel sweet. She was going to miss him too.

"I promise I'll call you every day and send picture updates," Hazel promised him as she lay curled up in his arms the day before her departure.

Will made a noncommittal noise before speaking. "I want you to have fun with your friend. Go ahead and get souvenirs every place you go and be sure to bring me some back too."
