Hazel, a young teenage girl who is caught in a time of chaos and horrors one could only wish was a nightmare. When she is left an orphan, sick... dead, an unlikely relative takes her in. This relative of hers is open enough to finally reveal to her why her family was so different. He even teaches Hazel a few secrets about herself. And everything changes.
