When Rito arrived at the place where the man told him,
He saw many people lining up in a row..
In front of the line, There was a table where people do the interview..
He suddenly frowned and said.
"Why do they need to interview the people when they would just do kidnapping?".
He found it funny, but he still lined up..
While in line, He was trying to get information on the people talking around him..
After listening for a while, He didn't get any new information..
He wanted to know who are the higher-ups of this organization because even if he rampage here..

He said to himself.

When he was inside, He saw many people sitting in the chair while reading a pamphlet..
He was feeling curious about it so he looked for a chair to sit down and open the pamphlet beside him.
He saw a list of items available at auction... Armors, Herbs, Mounts and Slaves...
Later, He discovered that while they were recruiting people..
They will auction some items too..
It's like killing two birds with one stone.
Rito still don't know what's the purpose why Crossroad Cult were recruiting..

One of the most brutal gang in the Slums..
They have 4 sub-leader that monitors their four businesses in the Slums and almost 100,000 members.
and for their Pavilion, The one supervising here is the Leader of the cult.
He is a tall middle age man, with an exquisite face.
His name is Endo, He is a magician.
He got kicked out of school because he killed a student so he turned rogue and make a name in the Slums becoming one of the most feared person in the city..
He is unbelievably skilled on magic. If he didn't have a peculiar personality, He will be in the top 100 magicians of Crossroad City.
But now, He was a wanted man with a bounty of 1,500,000 gold coins..
That's enough for a family to live for three generations...
Many people who got blinded by the bounty started hunting him but until now no one had succeeded.
The three district dispatched some of their elites in the Slums to kill him but all of them got killed instead.
Feeling that they lose face, They put him on the Blacklist..
Blacklist is a detection magic..
It means that when he step inside any territory of the three district, They will notice him right away..
This is also the reason why not many people daring to offend big powers inside the city...
Because if they put you in the blacklist, You can only live in the Slums which is more dangerous..
If you don't have connection inside the Slums, No one will even bother with you..
The power struggle in the Slums are more serious than the other three districts.
The moment you let your guard down was the moment you will lose all your power and possibly your life..
But Endo, Even though he knew that, He still announced that the Crossroad Cult were recruiting in the public.
"How's the recruitment going on?"Asked Endo on his subordinate.
"We already have 2,000 inside the pavilion and there's still many lining up." said the man.
Hearing the man, Endo stand up and said. "Alright let's go to the main hall".

Endo walked up to the stage and saw people staring at him.
"Hello, I am the Leader of the Crossroad Cult, I'm sure you guys know my name already. I don't need to say it.." He said.
When people heard what he said, They were astonished..
Endo was like a godly-figure in the Slums, Lots of cheers and shouts sounded out on the main hall.. They were ecstatic to see him..
When Endo heard the sound of cheers and claps, He still remained calm like he was used to this kind of things..
He was very arrogant..
After calming down the crowd he said.
"I will go straight to the point. We will attack district two and kidnap all the women there, If you don't have balls you better scram now".
Seeing no one was standing up, He continued. "Alright, We will have an auction first, Let's wait for all the people to take a sit and we will start right away.. After that, I will explain the mission".

He suddenly realized something..
"Mind Control!" After he said those words, He suddenly felt his mind buzz and began to have headache..

He was struggling.. He gritted his teeth and looked at the stage visciously..
On the stage, He saw a formation activated.
The formation shone bright and let out a buzz sound..
He saw the four corners of the main hall emitted a black aura..
The column started shining and a strange writing goes out and gathered in the center of the main hall.
He tried to looked up to see what gathered above him but failed because the buzz in his head became more stronger and It forcefully entered his mind..
When he was about to get control by the force, The red aura inside his body retaliated and devoured the unknown force in his mind.
"Oh?".
The unknown force let out a sound of surprised and disappeared completely.
Rito recovered his senses, He was full of sweat but he was already on guard the moment he recovered.
He looked above to see what's this all about...
He saw a strange black aura above him..
The four columns on every corner of the main hall were producing that strange black aura..
It gets bigger and bigger until it formed like a cloud.
The black cloud that was hovering above him emitted a sinister aura.
He suddenly heard a tearing sound and crowd screams at the same time..
He was flabbergasted at what's happening..
He saw the black aura forcefully tearing the souls of the people in the main hall..
Not knowing what's happening to them, The people just screamed at the top of theirs lungs..
One by one the souls flew out slowly and fused on the black cloud..
When the soul fused with the black cloud, It produced a humming sound..
In the middle of the cloud, Rito saw a dot turning bigger forming a portal..
When the portal was about the size of a fist..
An eye peek at the portal looking down below..
When he saw the eye, His soul trembled.
He felt like his soul was leaving his body when he met the gaze of that eye..
"How did you do it kid?".
while Rito was staring at the eye, He suddenly heard a voice coming from the stage.
He turned to looked at the stage..
He saw Endo looking at him with a cold expression.
"I will ask you again, How did you do it kid?".
Endo asked the young man wearing a red robe again.
When Rito heard Endo asked him again, He coldly smiled and raised his middle finger.
When Enzo saw the young man wearing a red robe raised his middle finger at him..
He flew up in the air and instantly cast fireball..
When he was about to aim at the young man, He saw the young man vanished on the spot..
He was shocked by the sudden disappearance and tried to look for him..
While he was looking, He suddenly heard someone snorted above his head..
Before he can even looked up, A fist landed on his face and he fell straight to the ground...
The punch was so powerful his body travel faster than sound..
The moment his face hit the ground, he bounced up a little...
The first impact left cracks on the floor..
When he landed to the ground for the second time, the pressure fell down on him,
He was smashed by the pressure and It created a large crater.
And the sound of the impact came right after that...
