1 Chubby Looking Young Man with no Confidence

Confidence can be described as a belief in one's self and one's ability to succeed. At the same time, having too little confidence can prevent you from taking risks and seizing opportunities—in school, at work, in your social life, and beyond.

That's why it's important to have Confidence...

But for this person, Confidence is the only thing he wished he have.

His name is Rito..

He is just an average guy that was a bit on the chubby side.

Many people called him by different names...

He's been called trash, pig and ugly.

He wasn't born with any special talent, nor was better at something than others.

He never struggled to become better so he couldn't refute what others say to him.

This is his life.

He deals with his frustrations by playing games and reading novels..

There, he was imagining himself as the main character where people have faith in him that he will save them from dangers.

That he will help them fulfill their missions.

Having girls cheering for him.

Having a friend who is always ready to help and support him..

With that, he felt good about himself but deep inside, he knows this wont get him anywhere..

This is just him having fantasy..

But what can he do? he dont have confidence.. he lost it.

This started when he was in high school..

He was just a guy with a normal looks but many people see him as a pushover.

He always got bullied even though he stay lowkey as possible.

It became an everyday thing to him.. to the point that it affects his decision making..

People see him like he wasn't anything special, but they had gut feeling when they saw him.

A feeling that said "This guy's a loser!"

He tried to fight back once but the result was him being in bed for a week.

After that, he let them do what they want.. he just want it to end as soon as possible..

But that's not the only reason why he end up having no confidence..

There is this girl that he likes..

She is always kind to him and always greet him in the morning before class.

She is like a sun to him, always shining making everything around her bright..

They hang out sometimes, He always do his best to make her laugh.. he want to see her smiling at him, that's where he get the motivation to move on with all the bullyings he got..

He said to himself. "If she can be mine I will be the luckiest guy in the world".

But reality is cruel..

Before he can even confessed, he already got rejected...

He heard that she now have a special someone...

He keep blaming himself for being slow..

And on that day he started losing confidence on himself..

He avoided people because of that..

He was scared of reality..

He always have fear due to his low self-esteem..

He was afraid to leave the house..

Even when some of his friends came,

He just asked his dad to make an excuse and say he's not home..

Even on emails and calls, He ignored all of it..

He shut himself in.

In the end he became what people called NEET.

A NEET is a young person who is "Not in Education, Employment, or Training".

Yup, He became the most pathetic person in the world..

He tried his best to get back to his feet, to change himself for the better..

He gain confidence bit by bit.. and he struggled like that for three years..

Even though he recovered, being a shut-in for three years,

He forgot how to communicate with other people.. he got social phobia as a result..

He moved on with his life so that he can be confident on himself..

After locking himself for three years, he was now ready to go outside to overcome his social phobia.. He needed to meet as many people as possible..

So he prepared to go outside after hiding for so long...

When he went outside, he finally felt the change, he then walked around the city...

As he walked around, he was just observing people..

He was looking at how they live their lives..

How do they move on...

What they do when things go wrong with them..

He just observed their everyday life..

He was curious about many things in life..

Having shut himself for three years, He wants to experienced things people do..

While observing he noticed an old man on the side in the corner of an alley...

He saw a weird looking old man with a beard all the way to his chest..

Hair's a bit messy and has a scar on his left eye.. The scar is so deep it goes from the forehead all the way to his cheeks forming a vertical line..

He had a cloak on, looking mysterious.

It gives people a weird feeling... on the front there was a table with a crystal ball..

Rito frowned when he saw the old man.. but he was shocked when the old man looked at him and smiled.. Feeling curious, He walked towards the old man..

When he was near the old man, he heard the old man speak..

"Young man, It seems like you are a bit troubled, did something happened?".

Rito stared at the old man for a bit and said..

"No, I was just wandering around and feeling curious about some things.. I just happened to pass by and saw you.."

The old man was smiling at him and starts checking him..

Rito on the other hand, didn't noticed the old man checking him because his eyes was focused on the crystal ball..

This crystal ball caught his eyes the moment he saw the mysterious old man...

He felt something like the crystal ball was calling him..

He tried to reach out his hand on the crystal ball without the permission of the mysterious old man..

When his hand was about to touched the crystal ball..

He came back to his senses and saw what he was doing..

He was shocked and moved away his hand..

He then turned to look at the old man who was smiling at him..

He felt embarassed so he said.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to do that.. I just felt curious, I didn't know my hand almost take the crystal ball.."

The mysterious old man was still smiling at him and said..

"It's fine young one, I know you don't intend to do that.. you are a good kid.".

The mysterious old man looked straight into his eyes...

The left eye with a deep scar slowly opened and starts radiating a strange red light..

Rito who was looking on the crystal ball..

Heard the old man and suddenly felt his gaze..

He looked up and saw the old man's left eye opened slowly..

He can't help but stare at it..

He was attracted on the strange red light and didn't notice his eyes turned red...

Rito and The mysterious old man stared at each other while the surrounding got stuck in time.

The birds that were flying in the sky stood still like a statue.

It was like the world has stop rotating around the sun...

Every people and animals have stop moving..

This continued on for a while..

Rito was still mesmerized by the strange red light when the old man close his left eye..

Rito got back to his senses and was shocked at what happened.

He was confused, He dont know what happened..

He looked blank for a bit when he noticed that he was sweating so much his shirt got wet ..

While he was still out of himself..

He can't help but look at the mysterious old man that was still smiling at him..

After that, he checked the surroundings and became astonished at what he saw..

He saw the people looked like statues in a museum..

He cant stay to his senses, His mind suddenly felt a bit of pain and his vision became blurry...

While he was still in shocked, he heard the old man saying..

"Fear not young one, Good things happen to good people".

After he heard what the mysterious old man said, he closed his eyes..

He opened it after a while and saw the surrounding turned normal again like nothing happened..

The people have no idea what just happened.. they still move on with their lives..

Rito on the other hand, was checking if everything was fine...

He looked around and it was still the same environment...

But there is one difference.. the mysterious old man that was in front of him moments ago..

suddenly disappeared like he was not there in the first place..

No one noticed the old man except for him..

Many people walking down the street but no one saw an old man there..
